Kim Wilde locked out of hotel room naked

Kim Wilde got locked out of her hotel room naked following a boozy "knees-up".
The veteran pop star, 64, has been sober for a decade but she used to enjoy alcohol-soaked nights out following her shows at the height of her career in the 1980s and she's revealed one night ended in humiliation after she found herself trapped in a hotel corridor without any clothes on and she had to walk down to reception in the nude to ask for help.
She told The Times newspaper: "I haven't drunk alcohol for a decade, so post-show hedonism levels won't be at Eighties or Nineties levels. I once ended up naked in a hotel corridor after a big knees-up: I snuck out of my room in the night and the door shut behind me.
"I had to slink down to the lobby to ask for a spare key, which was mortifying."
The confession comes after Kim revealed late Motorhead frontman Lemmy once tried to get her drunk on vodka in his dressing room.
Kim met the late heavy metal legend - who died from prostate cancer along with cardiac arrhythmia and congestive heart failure at the age of 70 in 2015 - at the start of her career and notorious boozer kept topping up her cup in a bid to get her tipsy before Kim's chaperone dragged her away.
Kim - who launched her pop career in 1981 at the age of 20 following the release of 'Kids in America' - explained to The Big Issue magazine: "I was very lucky.
"Both of the record companies that I worked for at the time got me travelling.
"When I was travelling, that's when I needed looking after. And they were always there. So, I was, sort of, chaperoned, I would say, very wisely and with a lot of fun.
"There was one time where I was in a dressing room with Lemmy from Motörhead, oh God. And he was trying to get me drunk on vodka. He poured it into a plastic cup so you couldn't see how much was in there.
"My chaperone, or the lady that works at the record company, Moira, she dragged me out. She wouldn't let me. But he was an absolute sweetheart really."
Kim insists the support of the team that was around her throughout her career put her in a "really good" place in terms of finances.
The ''Never Trust a Stranger' hitmaker explained: "I'd tell my younger self you need to surround yourself as much as possible with people who you can trust. "I would say, always trust your instincts about people who you're working with, and ask lots of questions.
"I was very fortunate in that I've always worked with people who I trust implicitly, and that has made a huge difference to the quality of my life, not just personally, but, you know, financially. It's given me a lot of security.
"I would say that on the whole, I've had a really positive experience, and it's put me in a really good place."

'Delicate dilemma': Prince William and Prince Harry caught in quiet competition for the coveted godfather role to the Duke of Westminster's newborn daughter

Prince William and Prince Harry are once again on opposing sides- this time over who will be chosen as godfather to their close friend, the Duke of Westminster's first child. Hugh Grosvenor, 34, and his wife, Olivia, 32, welcomed daughter Cosima Florence Grosvenor last month, just over a year after their lavish Chester Cathedral wedding. Grosvenor, who is King Charles III's godson and affectionately known as Hughie, is one of the closest friends of both William and Harry, and one of the few people chosen as a godparent by both royal brothers. He is godfather to both Prince George, 12, and Prince Archie, six. On Sunday, friends close to the Duke and Duchess of Westminster told The Times that "no decision has yet been made" about Cosima's godparents, but it remains a "particularly delicate dilemma". While it's believed William, 43, will take up the role, the new father is still weighing up whether to also ask Harry, 40, despite ongoing family tensions since the Sussexes stepped back from royal duties in 2020 and moved to California. Both brothers are understood to have sent congratulations following Cosima's birth on July 27, though no date has been set for her christening. Notably, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex did not attend Grosvenor's wedding last June. Prince William, by contrast, played a key role as usher on the day, greeting guests and guiding them to their seats before the ceremony. His wife, Princess Catherine, was unable to attend due to receiving chemotherapy treatment for an undisclosed form of cancer and is understood to have remained at home in Windsor with their three children. Reports later revealed Grosvenor had considered inviting Harry and Meghan but feared the royal rift would overshadow the nuptials. At the time, a friend of the princes told The Sunday Times: "It's incredibly sad it has come to this. Hugh is one of very few close friends of William and Harry's who has maintained strong bonds and a line of communication with both. "He wishes they could put their heads together and patch things up, but realises it's unlikely to happen before the wedding. "He wanted to avoid anything overshadowing the day, especially for Olivia, and doesn't want any awkwardness." Sources close to the Sussexes later suggested they had received a "save the date" card but opted not to attend, as it would have been"too awkward". Now 7th Duke of Westminster, Grosvenor inherited an estimated £9 billion (AUD $18 billion) fortune from his late father, Gerald Cavendish Grosvenor, who died in 2016. His inheritance includes 140,000 acres across Oxfordshire, Cheshire, Lancashire and Scotland, along with 300 acres in Mayfair and Belgravia.

Britt Ekland believes next Bond girl should be a 'natural beauty'

Britt Ekland believes the next Bond girl should be should be chosen for her "natural beauty". The hunt is currently on for a new James Bond to take over from Daniel Craig - who stepped down from the role after his fifth film No Time To Die in 2021 - after long-time producers Barbara Broccoli and Michael G. Wilson handed over control of the franchise to Amazon MGM Studios and The Man with the Golden Gun star Britt has now explained what the new Bond bosses need to look for in a female lead. She told The Times newspaper: "She should be attractive ... chosen for her natural beauty. And she should be athletic. "I think that's very important because the role generally involves running, jumping, a little bit of fighting. It involves moving your body." However, fellow former Bond girl Olga Kurylenko - who appeared opposite Craig in 2008's Quantum of Solace - told the publication choosing a new Bond girl has to be about more than just looks. She told the publication: "It's not just about the looks. What I see on Instagram is that girls are inspired to be as naked as they can be ... "A Bond girl doesn't take selfies. Her goal is thinking about strategy, about how she's going to complete her mission. "A Bond girl is witty, she's smart. She has her own agenda, she has a serious occupation, and that's what makes her sexy. It's not enough to just have an attractive face or a body if it's an empty vessel." It was recently suggested the James Bond franchise could return with an "origins" movie and a "very young" new star amid rumours 007 will be getting a massive shake-up with the character being taken back several decades. The rumour was shared by actor Daniel Mays who revealed he'd heard some details about what Amazon are planning for Bond. During an appearance on the We're Not Getting Any Younger podcast, he said: "Bond is a big deal right, that going to Amazon ... I heard a rumour they're going to cast someone very young and go sort of back to the origins. "They're going to sort of '60s, you're going to have all the retro cars and that sort of stuff - and start again. I think that would be kind of cool."

Olly Murs opens up about feud with twin brother

Olly Murs says becoming a father has made helped him to 'relate to his mum's sadness' over his estrangement from his twin brother. The 40-year-old singer - who has 16-month old daughter Madison and a new baby on the way with wife Amelia Tank - famously fell out with his twin Ben when he missed his sibling's wedding to compete in 'The X Factor' semi-finals in 2009. And, Olly has admitted that since welcoming Madison last year, he understands more about how his mother, Vicky-Lynn Pollard, must feel about his and Ben's estrangement. He told The Sunday Times Magazine: 'Now I'm a parent I can relate more to my mum's sadness that my twin brother, Ben, and I have been estranged since 2009, though I've got nothing but love and respect for him.' And, since Olly fell out with Ben, he has turned to a famous face as a surrogate sibling. He said: 'This year I've been on tour and I've got a new album out later in 2025. I joined Robbie Williams on stage in June and it was great to catch up with him — he's been like a big brother to me over the years.' Meanwhile, Olly previously admitted he couldn't "sit in a room alone" after he and Ben fell out. He told The Times magazine: "When you've been in the womb with someone, you struggle with loneliness. I had to deal with it when my twin and I went on our separate lives. "I was desperate to be around people, could not sit in a room alone. "When I was single for three years, I had to learn to like my own company. That's when I met Amelia." The 'Dear Darlin'' hitmaker hailed his wife as "the love of [his] life" and recalled how he quickly knew how strongly he felt for the bodybuilder. He said: "I always thought that spark when you fall in love was a load of Disney rubbish. People would talk about that moment and you'd go, 'Really?' And when it does happen, it's not like it is in films, of course. When that person walks into your life and changes how you feel, you know. She's gorgeous, the love of my life. We're a good team." Despite Olly's career success, his main goal for the future is being a "great" family man. He said: "My aim in life is to be a great husband and father - that's where my future lies. "I'd love my career to continue as it is, but when you get married and become a dad, you just want to be the best for them."
