USA Todaya day ago
Benson Boone is ready to take his music on the road and is showing fans the way to each stop.
Google Maps has partnered with a 23-year-old pop star to create a driving avatar that guides users to venues throughout his American Heart World Tour. Kicking off in Saint Paul, Minnesota on Aug. 22, Boone's tour includes 30 stops across the United States and Canada ahead of several international stops.
The limited-edition driving avatar of the "Beautiful Things" singer in a green vehicle is now available on the directions app, Google announced Thursday, Aug. 14. Android and iOS phone users can access the custom avatar by tapping the location indicator blue arrow and selecting Boone's car after selecting their navigation, according to Google Maps.
Boone fans will notice another fun feature where Google Maps' signature Pegman character will backflip like the singer. Users can notice this on their computers while using the Street View mode at venues along the tour.

Summer Goth, Pucci Princess, Beachside Birkin: The Unhinged Anatomy of Celebrity Vacation Style

What does Euro Summer mean to you? It could mean slipping on a tomato red sundress or a scarf over your pants and some added toe rings for flitting around Puglia, getting the same TikTok at the gelato stand or church step as everyone else on the FYP. Or, perhaps you're adding a hair kerchief to your flicky little bob to bop around Paris, sweating in line for croissant pistache and going mad at Google Maps because every bistro is closed for the holidays. Maybe, you're Greek island-hopping, ensconced mostly in bathrobes on a yacht, emerging to hit up Mykonos's clubstaurants in teeny bandage dresses that you might spill some late-night gyros on later. Maybe it's all internet slop that's flattening an entire continent and multitude of cultures into TikTok Shop buys—but I digress. In celebrity-land, summer 2025 has centered on the beach. Their job, for now, is beach. For Hailey Bieber, that meant taking over a Mallorcan beach club to celebrate her latest, lemon-inspired Rhode launch. Kylie and Kendall Jenner left behind the fug of Venice—and their archival Tom Ford gowns and Chanel sets—to frolic in the surf of Saint-Tropez. Jenna Ortega hasn't let the Wednesday press tour and her gothic wardrobe stop her from paddling on Bondi Beach in full Matrix mode either. Ibiza has also been a celeb-favorite setting, with Alaïa mesh flat-footed Dakota Johnson and Margot Robbie making sure to stop by the exclusive Jondal for a platter of langoustines and to serve some more hit-making looks with summer's most wanted pieces. Kate Moss arrived peak season on the Balearic island, without the chance to swap out her Birkin bag for a more beach-appropriate tote—no matter. Dua Lipa, of course, is maximizing her endless vacation and birthday celebrations. With an ever-expanding list of destinations and ever-more unhinged celebrity beachside style combos to digest, grab an Aperol Spritz and ponder what your celebrity vacation style of choice has to say. A presto! Kate Moss and her sandy beachside Birkin

This New App Lets You Take Private Audio Tours From Top Guides in Iconic European Destinations—and It's Free

A new app is giving travelers a private experience, allowing them to immerse themselves in new cities without breaking the bank. The app, called Le Walk, is a location-based experience using artificial intelligence to create riveting storytelling, all curated by local guides. The app, developed by a couple of former TikTok employees, is free to download on iOS and aimed at helping guides to scale their services. 'Le Walk is all about elevating travel," Aaron Sekhri, a co-founder of Le Walk, said in a statement shared with Travel + Leisure. "Our goal is to make the world's best guides accessible to every single traveler, regardless of cost, timing or language." The goal was to get travelers "looking up," instead of aimlessly scrolling on their phones, an ambition brought on by the founders' time at the social media company. Using the Le Walk app at the Musee d'Orsay in Paris. Le Walk When users log in, they will find on-demand audio walks where a professional tour guide will narrate directly into their headphones—without the hassle of having to be in a big group or struggling to hear the tour guide. Enjoy a guided visit to the Louvre's couture exhibition with the "Haute & Historical" tour, for example, or hang out with "Emily in Paris" on a walk through the popular show's iconic filming locations. And WWII buffs will find the "Is Paris Burning?" tour fascinating, which "reveals the still-present scars of Nazi occupation along with gripping stories of resistance, betrayal and survival." Overall, tours are available in a variety of subjects from art tours to architecture, history, culinary-focused jaunts (think: viral TikTok butter), and more. The app is currently available to use for tours in Paris, Rome, and Florence, according to the company, with plans to expand to more than two dozen more cities by summer 2026. Tours are offered in 22 different languages. Tours typically last just under an hour and customers seem to be happy: Le Walk said 63 percent of travelers who have tried it participate in multiple tours. So far, the company said it has seen more than 75,000 downloads. Of course—as the saying goes—Paris is never a bad idea, and a trip to the city isn't complete without indulging in good French cheese, hunting for vintage goods at an antique market, and people-watching at one of the outdoor cafes. And the same goes for Le Walk's other Italian cities where you can sample gelato, wrap yourself in history, and eat your weight in pasta.

Benson Boone Doubles His Total Top 10 Count

Benson Boone's 'Beautiful Things' is one of the most successful songs in the history of Billboard's Adult Contemporary chart. Despite the pop-rock smash's longevity and continued popularity, the format has been slow to show love to the pop singer's 'Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else,' one of his 2025 singles Months after the cut arrived on the ranking, it finally reaches an important new high point and earns Boone another career milestone. 'Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else' Reaches the Top 10 'Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else' breaks into the top 10 on the Adult Contemporary chart for the first time as it ascends from No. 11 to No. 10. As it lifts, the Grammy-nominated singer scores just his second appearance inside the highest tier on the radio tally. 'Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else' Joins 'Beautiful Things' Boone's first top 10 on the Adult Contemporary list was 'Beautiful Things,' which helped introduce him to audiences all around the world well over a year ago. That single hit No. 1 in March of this year and so far has spent 75 weeks somewhere on the tally. At the moment, it's still present on the ranking – amazingly, in second place. 'Slow It Down,' 'Mystical Magical' and 'Ghost Town' Throughout his career, Boone has racked up five placements on the Adult Contemporary chart. 'Slow It Down,' 'Mystical Magical,' and 'Ghost Town' peaked at Nos. 18, 25, and 28, respectively, with the latter two only managing one stay on the tally apiece. 'Mystical Magical' debuted on the Adult Contemporary radio roster earlier this month, but it quickly fell away, and it's unclear if it will be able to return. Benson Boone's Top 10 Hit on All of Billboard's Pop Charts Now that it has reached No. 10 on the Adult Contemporary chart, 'Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else' has become a top 10 smash on all three of Billboard's pop radio rosters. This frame, the tune — which is featured on his latest full-length American Heart — holds at No. 2 on the Pop Airplay list and No. 4 on the Adult Pop Airplay ranking. 'Sorry I'm Here for Someone Else' has spent 23 weeks on all three rosters, but the Adult Contemporary chart is known to move at a much slower pace than the other two lists.
