Silento is an American rapper, singer and songwriter. He rose to fame in 2015 with his debut song 'Watch Me (Whip/Nae Nae)'. The song sparked a global craze and racked up millions of views on YouTube. The track even peaked at No. 3 on the Billboard Hot 100.
In 2021, police found the rapper shot in the leg and face outside a home in a suburban area near Decatur. Cops said that they found 10 bullet casings near Rook's body, and the security video from a nearby home showed a white BMW SUV speeding away shortly after the gunshots. A family member of Mr Rooks reportedly told officials that Silento had picked up Rooks in a white BMW SUV, and GPS data and other cameras put the vehicle at the site of the shooting.
The rapper then confessed to the crime 10 days later after he was arrested. The bullet casings found at the scene matched the gun Silento had when he was arrested, officials said.
The prior year, Silento was charged while living in Southern California for allegedly threatening two people with a hatchet. He had been on bail after a recent arrest. According to the Los Angeles County District Attorney's Office, Hawk "walked into an unlocked stranger's home" and attempted to strike the two people in the home with a hatchet before one of them managed to disarm him."
In 2020, the rapper was also arrested after police said they clocked him driving 143 miles per hour (230 kilometres per hour) on Interstate 85 in DeKalb County.

The teen was fingerprinted and released without bond. Although the arrest took place last year, the bodycam footage, released recently, has led to backlash against Meijer. The footage has gone viral with over 20 million views on X, where hundreds of people called on the Midwestern supermarket chain to do better. 'Meijer could have spoken with him after the first incident, but instead decided it was better to let him continue doing it until he met some sort of quota,' wrote one X user. 'I'm also reading other sources that say he was eating EXPIRED food they had to throw out anyway,' another added. 'You fire him, dock his last paycheck, give him a bad reference and perp walk him out of the store to warn other employees. But you can't wait until his debt hits $100 & have him arrested. A 26-year-old woman has filed a harassment complaint against her husband and in-laws, alleging that she was body shamed and made to exercise for over three hours daily. She also said she was pregnant and her husband allegedly forced a miscarriage. She further accused her in-laws of harassing her for dowry. Police said the woman approached a Mahila Thana this week to file the complaint. Deputy Commissioner of Police, Ghaziabad, Dhawal Jaiswal, said an FIR has been registered against the woman's husband and her in-laws. According to the complaint, the woman got married on March 6. Her husband is a teacher at a government school. In her complaint to the police on August 14, the woman alleged that her husband was interested in other women and often watched objectionable photos and videos of them on Instagram and YouTube. 'He told me that his life was ruined because of me, and he could get an extremely beautiful woman who looked like (Bollywood actor) Nora Fatehi,' she alleged in her complaint. The woman further alleged in her complaint that her husband and in-laws forced her to work out for three hours daily — and if she failed to do so, they would keep her hungry for several days. 'It was an arranged marriage… My parents gifted jewellery worth Rs 16 lakh, a top variant Mahindra Scorpio worth Rs 24 lakh, and Rs 5 lakh in cash,' she said. Despite such expenses, she alleged she was harassed by her in-laws for more dowry, the complaint read. The woman also alleged that her husband gave her an abortion pill without her knowledge, forcing a miscarriage. 'Two months ago, I found out that I was pregnant. I shared this with my mother-in-law, who showed no interest. One day, my husband gave me a pill…,' she alleged in her complaint. After she fell sick, she said her in-laws dropped her off at her parents' house. When her health deteriorated, she was admitted to a hospital where doctors informed her about the miscarriage, she alleged in the complaint. Her in-laws allegedly did not allow her to enter their home after this. The woman claimed she later looked up the pill online and discovered it was for inducing an abortion.
