FAYTHE HARRIERS were full value for their four-point win over Shelmaliers in Group B of the Pettitt's Senior hurling championship in McCauley Park, Bellefield on Friday.
While the headlines will rightly laud the fantastic display from their star man Lee Chin who scored 0-17, the captain himself would acknowledge that the tremendous workrate and endeavour from his colleagues was a significant contributing factor in the town's side display.

Keith Rossiter and John Hegarty set to remain in Wexford Senior roles
Wexford People Today at 10:30 Keith Rossiter and John Hegarty will be put forward again for formal ratification as Wexford Senior hurling and football managers at the next County Board meeting. Recommendations that they should continue in their roles were backed by the management committee, who are also in favour of Ronan Joyce and Dylan Gregan remaining at the helm of the Under-20 hurling and football teams. The appointment of Minor managers for 2026 won't be addressed until all games involving this year's Under-16 development squads are concluded.

Wexford People Today at 09:30 Fethard couldn't really afford to leave Chadwicks Wexford Park on Sunday without something to show for their efforts, having drawn a blank in their opening two engagements in Group B of the Dominic Smith Electrical Senior football championship. And it certainly wasn't looking good for an upturn in fortunes at the start of the closing quarter, as Pádraig Foley kicked a two-pointer for Crossabeg-Ballymurn to leave the side that had relegated them from the top-flight two years ago with a 2-12 to 0-11 lead.
