Prime Video's new romantic drama movie looks like the perfect summer watch — and we just got the first trailer
The movie in question is "The Map That Leads To You." Based on the novel of the same name by J.P. Monniger, Lasse Hallström's movie sees a chance vacation meeting with Jack (KJ Apa, "Riverdale") changing Heather's (Madelyn Cline, "Outer Banks") life in ways she never thought possible.
The trailer sets up the duo's respective travel plans, teases their train meet-cute, and then shows us scenes from their life-changing travel plans.
While I'm not familiar with the novel it's based on, I'm happy to have my heart warmed by a feel-good film, and this teaser has my interest piqued, as Cline and Apa look to have solid chemistry together.
That said, it also suffers from the trailer problem of maybe showing a little too much of the story. Regardless, you can look forward to watching the streamer's new romance soon.
That's because "The Map That Leads To You" will start streaming exclusively on Prime Video from Wednesday, August 20, 2025.

In addition to Madelyn Cline and KJ Apa, "The Map That Leads To You" also stars Sofia Wylie, Madison Thompson, Orland Norman, Josh Luca, Eva García Montiel and Giuseppe Schillaci.

Netflix takes a leap of faith on an Assassin's Creed series
Hollywood video game adaptations continue to have a moment. Following the success of HBO's The Last of Us and Amazon's Fallout , Netflix has officially greenlit an Assassin's Creed series. The news comes nearly five years after the company signed a deal with Ubisoft to adapt the franchise. Two Emmy nominees will helm the series. Roberto Patino ( DMZ , Westworld , Sons of Anarchy ) and David Wiener ( Halo , Homecoming , The Killing ) will serve as showrunners and executive producers. No casting has been announced yet. "We've been fans of Assassin's Creed since its release in 2007," Patino and Wiener wrote in a statement. "Every day we work on this show, we come away excited and humbled by the possibilities that Assassin's Creed opens to us." The pair says the series will focus on "people searching for purpose, struggling with questions of identity and destiny and faith." (But it'll also include plenty of parkour and spectacle.) Above all else, it will be about "human connection across cultures and time." Netflix hasn't said when the show will premiere. So, we're probably still a ways off.

'Invincible' renewed for Season 5; Matthew Rhys to join cast

Prime Video announced the additional season Thursday. Season 4 will premiere in 2026. The series takes its inspiration from the comic books penned by Robert Kirkman, Cory Walker and Ryan Ottley. Walker is a co-creator on the show and Ottley is a contributing creator. "Invincible follows 17-year-old Mark Grayson, as he inherits his father's superpowers and sets out to become Earth's greatest defender, only to discover the job is more challenging than he could have ever imagined," an official synopsis reads. "Everything changes as Mark is forced to face his past, and his future, while discovering how much further he'll need to go to protect the people he loves." The voice cast includes Steven Yeun, Sandra Oh, J.K. Simmons, Seth Rogen, Walton Goggins, Gillian Jacobs, Jason Mantzoukas, Zazie Beetz, Grey DeLisle, Zachary Quinto, Chris Diamantopoulos, Ross Marquand, Khary Payton, Andrew Rannells, Kevin Michael Richardson, Ben Schwartz, Clancy Brown, Jay Pharoah, Mark Hamill and Melise Jow. Rhys, 50, is an actor known for playing Kevin Walker on Brothers & Sisters and Philip Jennings on The Americans.

Amazon Renews ‘Invincible' for Season 5 While You're Still Waiting for Season 4
Today, Prime Video announced that Invincible has been renewed for a fifth season, giving fans even more reason to stay alive long enough to not only witness its already confirmed fourth season, with the promise that more of co-creator Robert Kirkman's cult-classic Image Comics series is in the chamber, ready to be unloaded onto the streamer. The news that Invincible has been renewed for a fifth season shouldn't come as a surprise to fans. During the Season 3 press tour, Robert Kirkman boldly declared that he and Skybound Entertainment plan to release new seasons of Invincible every year until the series fully adapts his 2000s superhero comic book. At San Diego Comic-Con (thanks, GamesRadar+), while discussing the renewal for season four, Kirkman estimated that the show could ideally have around eight seasons or more if Prime Video is willing to indulge them. 'I mean, that sounds ridiculous. A lot of shows don't last that long. The Walking Dead got to go 11 seasons, which is kind of crazy,' Kirkman said. 'So I don't know. I mean, I'm really just focusing on adapting the comic in the most faithful, interesting, enhancing way possible. And so we'll see what it ends up being.' While the declaration came with some tepid worry online over whether the show's animators would be able to match the output of the show and maintain (or exceed) its level of animation quality, today's news will likely comfort fans who felt pointedly afflicted by the gap between its first and second seasons as well as season 2's infamous break between its final stretch of episodes. Tough feelings aside, Prime Video chose not to dwell on those bad vibes. Instead, it celebrated the merriment of its season 5 reveal by sharing a video of its voice cast reacting to the news of its renewal, accompanied by a series of guffaws at how its renewal is a sign of the show's rip-roaring success. Additionally, Invincible has earned a Certified Fresh ranking on Rotten Tomatoes, making it instantly appealing to those who value reviews at a glance from the site. In io9's review for Invincible Season 3, we walked away liking more than we disliked about the show, celebrating its discernment for leaving parts of the comic book on the cutting room floor, and being completely enamored with Jeffrey Dean Morgan's arrival as Conquest while being a tad less enamored with its violence losing its oomph and Atom Eve becoming the series' Green Lantern in the worst way possible (save for its season finale). Regardless, everything is coming up Viltrumite for Invincible. In addition to future seasons being locked in, fans can also look forward to Invincible VS—a tag fighting game from Skybound Games and Quarter Up, the former developers behind Killer Instinct. With all these future Invincible projects waiting in the wings, here's hoping its comic adaptation soars to even greater animated heights than its past seasons.
