BREAKING NEWS Fresh heartbreak for influencer Ellidy Pullin five years after the tragic death of her boyfriend Chumpy

Daily Mail08-05-2025

The mother of snowboarding champion Chumpy Pullin has died, his widow Ellidy has revealed in a heartbreaking post to social media.
The model and influencer announced the news of her mother-in-law Sally's passing on her Instagram on Thursday.
'Reunited with her boy Chump!! Together forever now, walking on the clouds, somewhere up there…' she wrote alongside a carousel of images.
To remember this beautiful woman is to picture that warm, beaming smile and hear her cheeky giggle. I'll forever cherish her special family lasagne recipe, and when she'd grab her ukulele of an afternoon and sing Chumpy's song Four Babies over and over. We'd never get tired of that joyful voice.
I love you Sal. I'll miss sailing with you, sun baking and sipping rum with you, nibbling cheese and listening to you identify every kind of bird species that exists in this world and imitating how each one chirps. I wish you could run me through Chumpy's favourite cheesecake just one more time because no one can ever nail it quite like you!
I will never stop talking about you and showing your beautiful granddaughter Minnie photos and videos of your amazing-ness. You're loved and adored by so many Sal - a real angel on earth, and now you're one in the sky—reunited with your boy. I know he's holding you forever tight.
More to come.

Shock moment Sunrise host Matt 'Shirvo' Shirvington is pushed into a pool of ice water during live cross

Matt 'Shirvo' Shirvington received a cold reception on Monday morning after he was pushed into a pool of ice water live on-air. The Sunrise host, 46, who was dressed in a penguin suit as he presented the AM segment, took an unexpected cold plunge at the Melbourne Cricket Grounds. But it was for a good cause as the TV personality took an icy dip for Big Freeze 11 to raise awareness and funds for Motor Neuron Disease (MND). The charity was started by Neale Daniher in 2014 and has raised over $115 million for MND since its inception. 'I wouldn't say I'm exactly ready to take the plunge,' Shirvo told the camera, as he explained the charity's initiative, which sees celebrities slide into a pool of icy water for the cause. The former track star decided to dip his feet in the -6.2 degrees celsius water to 'test it a little bit'. However, Shirvo was caught off-guard as a producer off-camera took his microphone and shoved him in the icy pool as the studio erupted into fits of laughter. As he tried to get out of the icy water, Shirvo was pushed in again. When the TV host finally managed to get out of the pool, he took off in a sprint around MCG to warm up as his fellow Sunrise hosts giggled. 'That was such a mean thing to do,' anchor Natalie Barr proclaimed, before questioning who shoved Shirvo into the pool. 'I haven't seen him run that fast in a long time,' Shirvo's fill-in David Woiwod quipped. A few weeks ago, fellow Sunrise host Natalie also took a cold plunge during the breakfast program. The presenter, 57, and co-host Shirvo were chatting to Australian boxer Harry Garside about using the bath for muscle recovery and the health benefits of doing so. Natalie then stripped into a black swimsuit as she agreed to jump into an ice bath with the sports star. Before getting into the water, Harry explained: 'Ice baths are obviously exceptional for athletes. But I also think breath work in general is good to calm yourself in chaos. 'Boxing is so chaotic. It's so full on. You get into an ice bath and something similar and you can control yourself with a breath.' Shirvo then said: 'Well jump in guys when you're ready. Good luck.' After getting into the ice bath, Natalie joked the feeling was so uncomfortable she felt like she was going into childbirth. She continued to breath loudly before admitting: 'I hate this.'
