On April 24, the OnePlus 13T will make its debut in China. The launch party is scheduled to start at 2:30 p.m. local time (12 p.m. IST). Pre-orders for the forthcoming phone are now being accepted by the company in China via its official website.
OnePlus 13T battery revealed
Louis Jie, the head of OnePlus (China), stated on Weibo that the battery of the OnePlus 13T, which will be released soon, will have a capacity of 6,260mAh. Through his official Weibo account, the nation's leader also mentioned that users will need to charge it once a day to use it every day.
According to the post, despite its small size, the high-capacity battery will provide more than enough juice, negating the need for a power bank or even the phone's power-saving mode.
The poster also gave screenshots of battery consumption. These screenshots demonstrate how the OnePlus 13T offers longer battery life in various situations, sometimes when compared to the larger Apple iPhone 16 Pro Max and other times to current small flagships. It has been demonstrated that the smaller phone can compete with larger handsets in certain use cases (such as GPS navigation), underscoring the advantages of a small form factor.
The battery technology that OnePlus refers to as Glacier Battery may be the same silicon carbon battery technology recently found in many Chinese devices.
Because of its energy-dense characteristics, the battery holds a larger capacity and facilitates quicker charging.

OnePlus 13T other expected specifications
The OnePlus 13 teaser reveals a new camera island design with a flash located directly next to the optics on the camera module alone, as well as a dual rear camera system. When positioned back-first on a level surface, the phone will be unsteady due to the large hump on the camera module. The OnePlus logo will be shown in the middle of the rear panel.
Regarding structure, the OnePlus 13T will have a rear cover with a frosted glass design and a chrome frame. OnePlus previously said that its upcoming smartphone, which will debut with the OnePlus 13T, will replace the alert slider with a customizable action key.
The smartphone will have a dedicated action key on the left side of the frame, along with volume sliders and a power button on the right. It is anticipated that this new button will resemble Apple's Action Button found on the most recent iPhone 16 series.
The speaker, SIM tray, and USB-C charging connector will all be located on the bottom side of the frame. Regarding structure, the OnePlus 13T will have a rear cover with a frosted glass design and a chrome frame.

How America's new plan to cut China's supply chain for Apple, Google, Samsung and other technology companies has worried Vietnam

The United States reportedly has another plan to cut China's hardware and components supply chain of Apple, Google, Samsung, Meta and other technology companies. According to a report in Reuters, America is urging Vietnam to reduce Chinese technology in devices assembled in the country and exported to America. Vietnam, a hub for tech giants like Apple and Samsung, relies heavily on Chinese components, with Meta and Google also producing goods like VR headsets and smartphones there. Vietnam has held meetings with local businesses to increase the use of Vietnamese parts, with firms expressing willingness but noting the need for time and technology, one source told Reuters. Trump Tariffs: 46% tariff threat and ... The Trump administration has threatened 46% tariffs, which could disrupt Vietnam's export-driven economy. One source said that Vietnam was asked to "reduce its dependency on Chinese high-tech" to restructure supply chains and lessen US reliance on Chinese components. Another source highlighted the US goal of accelerating decoupling from Chinese tech while boosting Vietnam's industrial capacity, citing VR devices as an example. With a US-imposed tariff deadline of July 8 looming, the scope and timing of a potential deal reportedly remain uncertain. Sources emphasized that reducing Chinese high-tech content in exports is a US priority. Last year, China exported $44 billion in tech goods to Vietnam, 30% of its total exports there, while Vietnam shipped $33 billion in tech goods to the US, per Vietnam's customs data. The US also wants Vietnam to address Chinese goods mislabeled as "Made in Vietnam" to evade higher duties. Vietnam's trade ministry noted progress in recent Washington talks but said key issues remain unresolved. What is Vietnam's big worry Vietnam's Communist Party chief, To Lam, may meet President Trump in late June, though no date is confirmed, sources told Reuters. Local companies have shown willingness to adapt but warned that rapid changes could "destroy business," one source said. Industry experts note that Vietnam's supply chain lags China's by 15–20 years but is progressing in sectors like electronics. Abrupt shifts could strain Vietnam's ties with China, a key investor and also lead to security concerns.

Elon Musk's company is facing new challenge from China's latest tech progress

China's first clinical trial of a technology that allows signals from the brain to control an external device has proved successful, making it only the second country after the US to reach this stage, a report has said. Until now, Elon Musk-owned Neuralink has been able to successfully implant a brain chip in a human, enabling him to carry out tasks like control a computer mouse using his thoughts. Citing Global Times, Bloomberg reported that Chinese researchers used brain-computer interfaces, or BCI, a wireless invasive implant in a patient with tetraplegia in March. Only a few weeks after the surgery, the patient was able to play racing games and chess on the computer using only the mind to control the electronic devices, it said, citing a statement from the Shanghai-based Center for Excellence in Brain Science and Intelligence Technology. How China's tech is different from Musk-owned Neuralink The implant used in the Chinese trial is said to be the world's smallest so far, with a diameter of 26 millimeters and thickness less than 6 millimeters and is over 100 times more flexible than the one developed by Neuralink. For the next stage, the team plans to enable the patient to operate a robotic arm using thoughts to perform more complex physical actions such as grasping and holding a cup. The centre launched the trial in collaboration with Fudan University's Huashan Hospital. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like 5 Books Warren Buffett Wants You to Read In 2025 Blinkist: Warren Buffett's Reading List Undo The centre said the BCI system could get approval from the authorities, and be able to enter the market as early as 2028. BCI is an emerging technology to help restore functionality to people with paralysis, and Neuralink, co-founded by Elon Musk appears to be the only company that has successfully trialled the implant in humans.
