Sharon Osbourne is not leaving any stone unturned in making sure Ozzy Osbourne rests in peace!
The 72-year-old, although very much inconsolable, has made it her duty to perform one final grand act of love for her soul mate, which is burying him exactly how he would have wanted.
Sharon Osbourne and Ozzy Osbourne celebrated 43 years of marriage on July 4 before he passed away a few weeks after that. She was by his side through the start of his solo career till his final show with the Black Sabbath band in Birmingham.
Ozzy Osbourne Will Sleep Forever In His Big Beautiful Buckinghamshire Estate Yard
The singer's widow has set plans in motion to bury him in the gardens of his 350-acre property with an intimate family funeral today, Thursday. This plan tallies with a detailed account of how he wants his final journey to play out according to his 2009 autobiography, "I Am Ozzy."
The rockstar got candid on the issue of his death and all the intricacies that would surround it, stressing that he had already briefed Sharon on what to do and what to avoid.
According to the book, Ozzy instructed his wife and his family not to cremate him; instead, he wants to be put in the ground, in a garden, with a tree planted over his head.
"I've come to believe that everything in life is worked out in advance. So whenever bad sh-t happens, there ain't nothing you can do about it. And eventually death will come, like it comes to everyone," Ozzy wrote.
According to The Daily Mail, his preferred tree for the garden remains the crabapple tree, so his kids can possibly make wine from it and celebrate his wife.
The Rockstar Predicted The Words On His Tombstone
On the final words that would be written on his tombstone, in his 2010 biography, the father-of-six took a wild guess and declared:
"I ain't under any illusions. If I close my eyes, I can already see it: Ozzy Osbourne, born in 1948. Died, whenever. He bit the head off a bat."
The bat-eating bit happened over four decades ago when a 34-year-old Ozzy was belting out melodic tunes in Des Moines, Iowa, for his second solo tour. He recalled someone throwing a bat at him, but he mistook it for a rubber bat and sank his teeth into it, getting the shock of his life in the process.
According to the singer, his mouth became instantly filled with a "warm, gloopy liquid," which was blood, and he felt the head of the bat twitch in there at the same time.
The fan who reportedly threw the bat at the singer revealed days after the concert that the animal had been dead for a few days before he brought it to the venue.
Ozzy and his arsenal of fans maintained a culture of throwing things at each other during his performance; on some instances, he threw meat in the crowd.
Inside Sharon's Plans To Immortalize Her Better Half's Iconic Legacy
As for finding love again, The Blast explained that sources close to the manager confirmed that she shut the door on that side of her life and all her attention is focused on preserving the life and times of Ozzy.
The 72-year-old will be teaming up with their children to keep his unreleased music in the archives, safeguard numerous home videos, handwritten notes, and items from tour.
Sharon wants her late husband to be remembered as one of the most talented singers of his generation and a man who loved her fiercely with all his heart.
"There's no second act in love. Ozzy was her one — her twin flame. That's it," the source explained. Ozzy and his wife met each other in the late 70s through his father, who managed his band, Black Sabbath.
Since their meeting, the duo became inseparable, eventually starting their solo careers together, starting a family, and parenting three children, including media personality Kelly Osbourne.
The Mother-Of-Three Was Emotional At The Farewell Parade For Ozzy
Sharon and the rest of the family showed up alongside teeming fans at Birmingham City, where they honored the legend with several bouquets and placards.
As The Blast reported, the mother-of-three was aided by her kids as she stepped out of their van with a wrapped bouquet in her hand and a tissue to wipe the tears.
Sharon took a moment to soak in the chants of love from thousands of fans. The manager, alongside her kids, was all dressed in black, paying personal tributes to the icon in their way.
The family matriarch wore Ozzy's shiny wedding ring around her neck, while Kelly donned Ozzy's signature blue-tinted glasses in honor of her late father, with whom she shared a very close bond.
Sharon then proceeded to lay down her flowers among thousands placed on the spot in memory of the Prince of Darkness. The kids also followed suit and returned to the car, which paused at times to acknowledge the grieving fans.
Ozzy's remains sat in a black Jaguar adorned with purple floral details, spelling out 'OZZY,' which is also his favorite shade.
Ozzy Osbourne's Final Conversation With His Long-Time Guitarist Was Filled With Love
Everyone in Ozzy's circle felt love from the rock legend, including his close friend and long-time guitarist, Zakk Wylde.
The text from Ozzy came after the final Black Sabbath performance at England's Villa Park on July 5. Wylde joined the band in 1987 and maintained a professional relationship with Ozzy throughout the 90s and early 2000s.
"The last text I got from Oz was saying, 'Zakky, sorry, it was like a madhouse back there. I didn't see you.' He goes, 'Thanks for everything.' It was just us talking, saying, 'I love you, buddy.' That was it," the guitarist explained.
Wylde revealed that the show was no different from their good old days together, but it was a bit upsetting that he never got to see him backstage before his passing.
The late singer and Wylde shared a close friendship beyond the stage, as he revealed that he would sometimes watch the house while Sharon and Ozzy travelled for business.
Sharon and Ozzy Osbourne's love story is one for the books!

This unique biopic is an underrated Prime Video movie to watch this weekend (August 8-10)

Amazon might not always know how to surface them, but there are plenty of solid movies available on Prime Video. The streaming service's algorithm often recommends the same content each time you log in, but if you're seeking something a bit more unique, we have suggestions for you. We've pulled together three very different movies that are all worth your time and underrated in several ways. Recommended Videos We also have guides to the best new movies to stream, the best movies on Netflix, the best movies on Hulu, and the best movies on Amazon Prime Video. The Way Way Back (2013) A coming-of-age movie that deserved more attention than it got, The Way Way Back follows a teenage boy who is forced to spend the summer with his mother and her boyfriend at a beach house. When he finds a job at a local waterpark, he also finds a father figure in the park's manager, even as he comes to appreciate that life is more complicated than he had assumed. The Way Way Back is a little reliant on clichés, but those clichés exist for a reason. And, thanks to a remarkable performance from Sam Rockwell, The Way Way Back lands enough of its jokes to feel like a charming movie. You can watch The Way Way Back on Amazon Prime Video. Better Man (2024) If you know what Better Man is about, you might be justified in thinking the movie is not for you. It's a film about Robbie Williams, a major U.K. pop star who doesn't have a big presence in the U.S. Robbie is played by a CGI ape for reasons that remain unclear. In spite of all that, Better Man is a remarkably confident, assured musical, a film about the perils of fame and stardom and the vices that go along with it. More than anything, Better Man is worth watching because of Williams' music, and director Michael Gracey brings it to life with a remarkable degree of vision. You can watch Better Man on Amazon Prime Video. Thief (1981) Michael Mann's debut feature is indicative of the style that he would bring to his entire career. The movie follows Frank (James Caan), a highly skilled professional thief who treats his work like a job. Frank wants to walk away after one big job, but when the person he works for won't let him go, he's forced to fight for his right to a quiet life. It's a familiar story brought to life by Mann, Tangerine Dream, and James Caan. Thief is a remarkably confident, tense first feature. It remains one of the best movies of the 1980s. You can watch Thief on Amazon Prime Video.

Edinburgh Festival Fringe: 'I went to see an '80s TV icon and left after 20 minutes'

The British television icon, Bobby Davro, has returned for his second full length run at the Edinburgh Fringe. I was warned in advance about what to expect, however in an attempt at maintaining journalistic neutrality, I went into this experience with an open mind. I've always been of the persuasion that all art is inherently political… and I still do believe that, however what Bobby Davro does is not art at all, and it certainly isn't political - it's just rehearsing 90 minutes worth of the things reposted on Facebook by your uncle that no longer gets invited to Christmas. READ MORE: Edinburgh Fringe performer fights back tears as 'a third of her audience walk out' READ MORE: Edinburgh street remains locked down as police erect 'black tent' outside home The show opens with a satirical disclaimer poking fun at the 'woke' agenda, followed by a singalong of The Proclaimers' '500 Miles' where he encourages his audience to chant his name during the chorus - something I'm told he's been doing for a very long time, this got a good response. From the outset, Davro makes repeated gags about trans and queer people, the one receiving the best audience reaction being his intentional misspelling of LGBTQ+ … a joke I'm sure took him hours to come up with. Other jokes in the show featured such explosive comedy as 'I'm not racist, I've got a colour TV' as well as upon gesturing to an audience member, 'look, she laughed so much at that one she's got tears dribbling down her leg!'. Some of the women in the crowd appeared visibly disturbed and at times confused by the 'jokes' being told on stage and while at no point do I claim that I speak for women - I'm fairly comfortable saying that this show is not targeted towards a female audience… at all. Join Edinburgh Live's Whatsapp Community here and get the latest news sent straight to your messages Davro's material gave off the impression he was trying his absolute hardest to be edgy, but just didn't quite have it in him to be witty or nuanced about it whatsoever. This performance had no charm, substance or depth. The act would have been somewhat meta or reflective if it were written about 30 years ago and by the sound of the material itself, it was. Listen, Bobby Davro (Robert Christopher Nankeville) has the right to earn a living as much as anybody, unfortunately for him I just don't think the Edinburgh Festival Fringe is the place to do that. In truth I left this show about 20 minutes in, I felt uncomfortable and cringed out for my entire time there. I'd like to offer my utmost apologies to Mr Davro if the part of the show I missed turned into the most profound, era defining comedy anyone's ever seen… but I sincerely doubt it.
