INTEGRA INITIATES 10,000 METER DRILL PROGRAM AT FLORIDA CANYON, FOCUSED ON NEAR MINE OXIDE GOLD RESOURCE GROWTH OPPORTUNITIES
www.integraresources.com
VANCOUVER, BC, May 8, 2025 /CNW/ - Integra Resources Corp. ("Integra" or the "Company") (TSXV: ITR) (NYSE American: ITRG) is pleased to announce the initiation of a gold resource growth-focused drill program at the Company's primary operating asset, the Florida Canyon Mine ("Florida Canyon") located in Nevada. The 2025 drill program marks the first phase of a multi-year growth strategy designed to expand mineral reserves and resources, extend mine life, and ultimately maximize the value of Florida Canyon.
Highlights:
The 2025 drill program will consist of ~10,000 meters ("m") of reverse circulation ("RC") drilling focused on near-mine targets identified at Florida Canyon, designed to support oxide mineral reserve and resource growth and mine life extension.
Drilling commenced in early May and is expected to conclude in the third quarter of 2025, with initial results expected to be released during the summer months of 2025.
The program is focused on testing near-mine targets at Florida Canyon in three key areas:
Opportunity 1: Near-surface oxide potential from historical dump material (~2,000m): Drilling will target large volumes of historical gold-mineralized backfill and low-grade waste material previously estimated to be below the mining cut-off grade in a significantly lower gold price environment. These areas demonstrate the greatest near-term opportunity to increase mineral resources and potentially extend mine life.
Opportunity 2: Expand in-situ resources between existing mine open pits (~5,000m): Drilling will target "saddle" and "ridge" areas located between active and historical pits. Many of these areas have been sparsely drilled historically and offer meaningful oxide growth potential directly adjacent to current and future mining phases.
Opportunity 3: Test lateral extensions and in-pit infill drilling (~3,000m): Drilling will target lateral extensions of existing pits as well as infill drilling within areas planned for further pit pushbacks. Potential has been identified to improve resource classification, optimize mine planning, and potentially increase short-term ore feed.
The 2025 drill program at Florida Canyon is expected to support a mineral resource and reserve update and a revised life-of-mine plan in early 2026.
George Salamis, President, CEO and Director of Integra commented: "Following a strong start to 2025 with solid operational results from Florida Canyon gold production and a demonstrated ability to generate cash flow, we are pleased to launch a growth-focused drill program. We see this program as a critical step in unlocking the next phase of value at Florida Canyon. We have identified significant potential to not only optimize the mining operation, but also to increase the production scale and mine life of the asset, leading to material value creation for Integra's shareholders. We look forward to sharing our progress over the coming months."
Florida Canyon: Long Operating History with Significant Growth Potential

Since the start of operations in 1986 through to the end of 2024, Florida Canyon has produced approximately 2.7 million ounces of gold from over 200 million tonnes ("Mt") of ore mined. As of December 31, 2024, proven and probable mineral reserves at Florida Canyon total 70.4 Mt at a grade of 0.35 grams per tonne ("g/t") gold for a total of 785,000 ounces of gold (refer to Integra's latest Mineral Reserves and Resources statement effective December 31, 2024 available on the Company's website at www.integraresources.com). Building on this long operating history, Integra believes there remains significant near-mine resource growth potential within the current permitted mine plan. With the recent increase in spot gold prices, areas historically considered uneconomic now present a compelling opportunity for re-evaluation.
Integra has identified multiple opportunities with the potential to increase the mine's production scale, extend mine life, and enhance future operational flexibility. Numerous mining optimization initiatives are being evaluated and are expected to positively impact current operations. Near-term growth opportunities require targeted exploration drilling and mine optimization work, while longer-term initiatives will focus on broader greenfield exploration across the extensive Florida Canyon land package.
This news release outlines the near-term, brownfield exploration activities that form the basis of the 2025 growth-focused drilling program at Florida Canyon. The program is expected to support a mineral resource and reserve update and a revised life-of-mine plan in early 2026.
2025 Florida Canyon Drill Program Overview

Integra's 2025 drill program at Florida Canyon represents the first phase of a focused, multi-year strategy designed to increase mine life and mineral resources and reserves, both within and outside the permitted pit limits. The program is also focused on improving operational flexibility and enhancing overall asset value. Importantly, these initiatives will leverage Florida Canyon's existing infrastructure and operational footprint, minimizing capital requirements while maximizing potential for a positive impact to future economics.
The first phase of the program is budgeted at approximately US$1.5 million and will consist of drilling that is focused on three key areas: (1) Near-surface oxide potential from historical waste; (2) Expanding in-situ resources between existing mine open pits; and (3) Testing lateral extensions and in-pit infill drilling.
Opportunity 1: Near-Surface Oxide Potential from Historical Dump Material (RC drilling: ~2,000m)
Figure 3 – Historical North Mine Dump Material Conceptual Section:
https://wp-integraresources-2024.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/media/2025/05/FCM-NR-Fig-3-N-Mine-Dump-Material-Section-2025-05-07_v3.pdf
Within the permitted Florida Canyon mine boundary there exists several large volumes of historically mined low-grade gold-mineralized dump material, averaging below the historical mine cut-off grades. This material is a product of decades of past mining and has been identified as a high-potential, low-strip, near-surface oxide gold target for growth. Potential has been demonstrated by the historical in-pit mine dumps (historical backfill material), which are already being partially utilized by current operations and offer an immediate opportunity to expand reserves with minimal mining cost. Objectives for drilling:
Confirm gold grade continuity and distribution within the historical North Dumps;
Provide material for metallurgical testing, including bottle rolls, column tests, and permeability assessments;
Support potential conversion of this material into mineral reserves through inclusion in the updated resource and reserve block model and mine plan; and
Increase operational flexibility by providing readily available, gold-mineralized material suitable for heap leaching, that will not require blasting.
This strategy directly supports Integra's objective of improving near to medium term ore feed without significant capital investment, while also reducing reliance on higher-strip in-situ fresh rock material.
A similar strategy was utilized at the Company's DeLamar Project ("DeLamar" or the "Project") located in Idaho. In 2022, Integra drilled numerous stockpile and backfill areas at DeLamar, which were mined by previous operators of the Project, but were discarded as waste as the material did not meet the cut-off grade of the operation at the time. In 2023 Integra successfully added a significant quantity of potentially heap-leachable material to the total mineral resource at the Project (refer to the Company's news release dated September 23, 2023 and report titled "Technical Report for the DeLamar and Florida Mountain Gold-Silver Project, Owyhee County, Idaho, USA", available on the Company's website and on SEDAR+ at www.sedarplus.ca and EDGAR at www.sec.gov).
Figure 4 – Conceptual Section of Central/Radio Tower Saddle Drilling Section:
https://wp-integraresources-2024.s3.ca-central-1.amazonaws.com/media/2025/05/FCM-NR-Fig-4-Saddle-Section-2025-05-07_v3.pdf
Integra will target in-situ gold resource expansion opportunities within "saddle" and "ridge" zones located between existing open pits. Several of these areas remain sparsely drilled and offer significant upside gold potential, with historical drilling demonstrating encouraging intercepts of oxide mineralization at or near surface. Objectives for drilling include:
Testing the Central/Radio Tower Pit Saddle: material directly connecting two large areas of known gold mineralization;
Testing Florida Canyon Saddle: area requires an improved structural geologic understanding and offers potential to host additional oxide mineralized gold material; and
Testing North Pit Saddle: location of a potential satellite pit adjacent to an existing pit; drilling is required to follow up on a high-grade gold vein system that was historically underexplored.
Success within these identified zones has the potential to meaningfully increase mineral resources and reserves by extending existing pit limits within the current Florida Canyon Mine Plan of Operations.
Opportunity 3: Testing Lateral Extensions and In-Pit Infill (RC drilling: ~3,000m)
Additional drilling is planned to test lateral extensions of existing pits and to complete infill drilling within current areas planned for pit pushbacks. These areas offer potential to improve resource classification, optimize mine planning, and potentially increase short-term gold ore feed to the heap leach pads. Objectives for drilling include:
Testing the North and Central Pit areas: the upper portions of the planned pit pushbacks are currently classified as inferred. Although this material is generally low-grade, infill drilling has potential to improve classification, enhance short-term mine planning, and increase oxide gold heap leach pad feed.
Testing Jasperoid Hill Pit area: most of the near-surface oxide mineralization has been mined or is expected to be largely depleted within the next few years. However, at current gold prices, opportunities exist to potentially define additional near-surface gold mineralization.
Limited infill drilling has been historically completed within these areas and the 2025 drilling program aims to de-risk future production and unlock potential for readily accessible gold oxide material in a historically productive zone. By reducing geological risk and increasing oxide gold mineral inventory in accessible mineralized zones at Florida Canyon, the 2025 drilling program is expected to enhance both short-term operational flexibility and long-term mine planning.
Drill Program Timing
The 2025 growth-focused exploration drilling program at Florida Canyon is expected to be completed in the third quarter of 2025. Results from the drill program will support an updated mineral resource and reserve estimate and life-of-mine plan targeting early 2026. The drill program forms an important part of Integra's broader strategy of maximizing value from its portfolio of high-quality assets through disciplined capital allocation, operational excellence, and targeted near mine and regional exploration.

RC samples were collected at 5-foot intervals directly at the drill rig using pre-labeled bags. Diamond drill ("DDH") core samples were cut in half, sampled at 5-foot intervals, with one half sent for analysis and the other half retained for reference. Diamond drill holes were sampled on 5-foot intervals. Samples were submitted to American Assay Laboratories ("AAL") in Reno, Nevada, an ISO/IEC 17025 accredited laboratory. Sample preparation involved drying, jaw crushing to >70% passing 2 mm (10 mesh), and pulverizing a 300 g split to >85% passing 75 microns.
Gold analysis was performed on a 30-gram pulp using fire assay with ICP-AES finish. Samples returning >10 ppm Au were re-assayed using a gravimetric finish. Additionally, samples with Au >0.150 ppm underwent cyanide-soluble analysis and preg-robbing tests to assess metallurgical characteristics. Quality control protocols included the routine insertion of blank samples, certified reference materials (standards), and field and pulp duplicates. Blank material and standards were purchased from Moment Exploration Geochemistry. AAL also inserted internal control samples and duplicates within each batch.

Biggest-ever aid cut by G7 members a death sentence for millions of people, says Oxfam
Aid cuts could cost millions of lives and leave girls, boys, women and men without access to enough food, water, education, health treatment G7 countries are making deliberate and deadly choices by cutting life-saving aid, enabling atrocities, and reneging on their international commitments Low and middle-income countries face reduced aid, rising debt, and trade barriers — a perfect storm that threatens development and recovery. OTTAWA, ON, June 10, 2025 /CNW/ - The Group of Seven (G7) countries, which together account for around three-quarters of all official development assistance, are set to slash their aid spending by 28 percent for 2026 compared to 2024 levels. It would be the biggest cut in aid since the G7 was established in 1975, and indeed in aid records going back to 1960, reveals a new analysis by Oxfam ahead of the G7 Summit in Kananaskis, Canada. "The G7's retreat from the world is unprecedented and couldn't come at a worse time, with hunger, poverty, and climate harm intensifying. The G7 cannot claim to build bridges on one hand while tearing them down with the other. It sends a shameful message to the Global South, that G7 ideals of collaboration mean nothing," said Oxfam International Executive Director Amitabh Behar. 2026 will mark the third consecutive year of decline in G7 aid spending – a trend not seen since the 1990s. If these cuts go ahead, G7 aid levels in 2026 will crash by $44 billion to just $112 billion. The cuts are being driven primarily by the US (down $33 billion), Germany (down $3.5 billion), the UK (down $5 billion) and France (down $3 billion). "Rather than breaking from the Trump administration's cruel dismantling of USAID and other US foreign assistance, G7 countries like the UK, Germany, and France are instead following the same path, slashing aid with brutal measures that will cost millions of lives," said Behar. "These cuts will starve the hungry, deny medicine to the sick, and block education for a generation of girls and boys. This is a catastrophic betrayal of the world's most vulnerable and crippling to the G7's credibility," said Behar. Canada allocated $10.17 billion to official development assistance in 2023/2024. Although its foreign aid budgets have been declining for the past two years, Canada is one of the few G7 countries that as not announced its intention to cut ODA. Oxfam Canada is calling on the federal government to clearly affirm its commitment to combating global inequality by maintaining its international aid budget for the coming years. "The Canadian government's recently announced intention to increase Canada's military spending to meet the NATO target of 2% of GDP makes the announcement all the more necessary. International aid makes a crucial contribution to global stability by focusing on prevention and providing essential services that strengthen social cohesion," said Lauren Ravon, Executive Director of Oxfam Canada. Economic projections show that aid cuts will mean 5.7 million more people across Africa will fall below extreme poverty levels in the coming year, a number expected to rocket to 19 million by 2030. Cuts to aid are putting vital public services at risk in some of the world's poorest countries. In countries like Liberia, Haiti, Malawi, and South Sudan, US aid had made up over 40 percent of health and education budgets, leaving them especially exposed. Combined with a growing debt crisis, this is undermining governments' ability to care for their people. Global aid for nutrition will fall by 44 percent in 2025 compared to 2022: The end of just $128 million worth of US-funded child nutrition programs for a million children will result in an extra 163,500 child deaths a year. At the same time, 2.3 million children suffering from severe acute malnutrition – the most lethal form of undernutrition – are now at risk of losing their life-saving treatments. One in five dollars of aid to poor countries' health budgets are cut or under threat: WHO reports that in almost three-quarters of its country offices are seeing serious disruptions to health services, and in about a quarter of the countries where it operates some health facilities have already been forced to shut down completely. US aid cuts could lead to up to 3 million preventable deaths every year, with 95 million people losing access to healthcare. This includes children dying from vaccine-preventable diseases, pregnant women losing access to care, and rising deaths from malaria, TB, and HIV. G7 countries are not just reneging on commitments to global aid and solidarity, they are fuelling conflicts by allowing grave violations of international law, like in Gaza where people are facing starvation. Whether in Ukraine, the occupied Palestinian territory, the Democratic Republic of the Congo or elsewhere, civilians must always be protected, and aid is often the first line of protection they get. G7 countries are illuminating a double standard that risks more global instability, conflict and atrocities. While G7 countries cut aid, their citizen billionaires continue to see their wealth surge. Since the beginning of 2025, the G7 ultra-rich have made $126 billion, almost the same amount as the group's 2025 aid commitment of $132 billion. At this pace, it would take the world's billionaires less than a month to generate the equivalent of the G7's 2025 aid budget. By taxing the super-rich, the G7 could easily meet their financial commitments to end poverty and climate breakdown, whilst also having billions in new revenue to fight inequality in their own countries. "The world is not short of money. The problem is that it is in the hands of the super-rich instead of the public. Rather than fairly taxing billionaires to feed the hungry, we see billionaires joining government to slash aid to the poorest in order to fund tax cuts for themselves," said Behar. Oxfam is calling on the G7 to urgently reverse aid cuts and restore funding to address today's global challenges. More than 50 years after the United Nations set the target of 0.7 percent for aid spending, most G7 countries remain well below this. Oxfam is also urging the G7 to support global efforts led by Brazil and Spain to raise taxes on the super-rich, and to back the call from the African Union and The Vatican for a new UN body to help manage countries' debt problems. NOTES TO EDITORS According to OECD Data Explorer, the combined annual aid expenditure of the G7 in 2024 was $156.694 billion. Canada spent $7.323 billion, the United States $61.821 billion, Japan $17.583 billion, France $15.047 billion, Germany $31.382 billion, Italy $6.534 billion, and the United Kingdom $17.005 billion. Donor Tracker estimates that the decline in combined annual aid spending of the G7 countries for the period 2024 to 2026 will be -$44,488 billion. In 2024, aid from G7 countries declined by 8 percent, and projections for 2025 point to a sharper drop of 19 percent. Modelling using finds that 5.7 million more Africans would fall below the US$2.15 extreme poverty income level in the next year if Trump's administration succeeds in its aid-reduction ambition. This assumes a 20 percent reduction of aid to Africa, considering that some US aid would be maintained as the US alone accounted for 26 percent of aid to Africa before the cuts. The dismantling of USAID and major aid reductions announced by Western donors threaten to undo decades of progress on malnutrition. A 44 percent drop in funding from 2022 levels could lead to widespread hardship and death. Up to 2.3 million children with severe acute malnutrition risk losing life-saving treatment, warns the Standing Together for Nutrition Consortium. There are 2,968 billionaires in the world, and 1,346 live in G7 countries (45 percent). New Briefing from the Energy Transitions Commission (ETC) Addresses Global Trade Challenges in the Energy Transition
LONDON, June 11, 2025 /CNW/ -- The ETC's new briefing note, Global trade in the energy transition: principles for clean energy supply chains and carbon pricing, highlights how technology progress and carbon pricing can accelerate the global energy transition. However, growing concerns over concentrated supply chains and perceptions that carbon border adjustments are protectionist could significantly delay global progress. The ETC briefing proposes an optimal way forward on two crucial trade-related issues: Developing domestic supply chains: six principles for policy. Carbon pricing and carbon border adjustment mechanisms (CBAMs): gaining global agreement to policies which can drive decarbonisation of "hard to abate" sectors. Nearshoring clean technology supply chains: six principles for policy The cost of several clean energy technologies has plummeted in the last decade. Solar PV module prices dropped 94% since 2011, lithium-ion battery prices fell over 92% since 2010 while doubling in energy density, [1],[2] and in 2024, almost two-thirds of electric vehicles sold in China were cheaper than Internal Combustion Engine (ICE) vehicles of equivalent size and quality. [3] China has led this progress and now holds dominant market shares in multiple clean technologies: this primarily reflects strategic vision, low capital costs, technological innovation and dynamic entrepreneurship rather than simply low labour cost. In response to China's dominance, many countries seek to diversify supply chains through nearshoring. This reflects concerns about "energy security" and a desire to grow local value and employment, but badly designed nearshoring could add significantly to the cost of the energy transition. The ETC therefore proposes six principles to guide optimal policy: 1. Aim for diversified supply chains, not complete autarky (i.e. complete self-reliance). 2. Clarify different dimensions of "security" - economic vs national security – with different implications in different sectors. 3. Tailor policy by technology, focussing nearshoring efforts on sectors where cost-competitive domestic production can be achieved. 4. Base any use of tariffs on factual analysis of current subsidies in compliance with World Trade Organization (WTO) rules. 5. Focus primarily on the location of employment and value-add rather than ownership, recognising that inward investment can be a major driver of technology transfer. 6. Work with China to increase climate finance flows to lower-income countries, supporting accelerated deployment of clean technologies. "In an ideal world, free from geopolitical tensions or supply chain risks, China's stunning technological progress and cost reduction would be welcomed as enabling a faster and cheaper energy transition worldwide. But there are economic and security-related reasons for seeking to develop domestic supply chains. Well-designed policy can ensure that those objectives are met in a way that drives further technological progress and cost reduction," said Adair Turner, Chair of the Energy Transitions Commission. Carbon pricing and CBAMs: gaining global agreement to a vital policy lever In some sectors of the economy, low-carbon technologies are already cost-competitive, but in "hard to abate" sectors such as steel, cement, chemicals and shipping, using available decarbonisation technologies will entail a "green cost premium". Carbon pricing is therefore required to make decarbonisation in these sectors economically feasible. While 53 countries now have some form of carbon pricing, covering over 20% of global emissions, [4] only the EU has prices high enough to significantly influence the economics of decarbonisation. But if one country or bloc, such as the EU, imposes carbon prices on energy-intensive internationally traded sectors, production will shift to other countries which do not impose carbon prices, and no emissions reduction will be achieved – unless equivalent carbon prices are in place. The ideal solution would be globally agreed carbon prices applied to "hard to abate" sectors, and the International Maritime Organization recently agreed a crucial step towards that approach for shipping. [5] Until that approach is in place for other "hard to abate" sectors, CBAMs are essential to support decarbonisation, are not protectionist, and are the only way by which developed countries can take responsibility for imported emissions. The ETC therefore strongly supports the EU imposition of a CBAM and its recent commitment to make the CBAM more robust. Progress towards the ideal internationally agreed solution should, however, be fostered by: Seeking agreement, for instance through the WTO, on international standards for the measurement of carbon intensity. Providing technical assistance to developing countries seeking to deploy carbon pricing. Allocating some of the revenues which will accrue to the EU CBAM to support climate finance flows to lower-income countries. "The world is entering a new industrial era powered by clean energy. Clean industrial projects are flourishing in diverse geographies, opening opportunities for new trade dynamics. But well-designed policies, including carbon pricing, supply-side financial incentives, and demand-side regulations are essential to make projects viable and precipitate final investment decisions." said Faustine Delasalle, Vice-Chair of the Energy Transitions Commission and CEO of Mission Possible Partnership. Global trade in the energy transition: principles for clean energy supply chains and carbon pricing builds on existing ETC analysis, Better, Faster, Cleaner: Securing clean energy technology supply chains. However, the institutions with which ETC's Commissioners are affiliated have not been asked to formally endorse this briefing. Highlights: Fieldwork to commence on June 13th at the Triple L and Elmer East properties, in collaboration with Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd. Intensive surface exploration program will include 35 traverses across high-priority targets. Triple L Property exploration will focus on refining MAG and TDEM anomalies using a Beep Mat to identify potential copper-nickel mineralization. The 17-day program will involve two experienced field teams, with Comet's VP of Exploration, Vincent Cardin-Tremblay, actively participating in the exploration efforts. ROUYN-NORANDA, QC, June 10, 2025 /CNW/ - Comet Lithium Corporation (TSXV: CLIC) (FSE: 8QY) ("Comet Lithium" or the "Corporation") is pleased to announce the launch of its 2025 Phase 1 Exploration Program, set to begin on June 13, 2025, on its 100%-owned Triple L and Elmer East properties in the Eeyou Istchee James Bay region of the province of Québec. Prospecting Program: A Targeted, First-Pass Program Comet's 17-day field campaign will be conducted in partnership with Dahrouge Geological Consulting Ltd., adding proven technical expertise to the Corporation's exploration efforts. Two experienced field teams will carry out investigation, detailed mapping, sampling, and traverses across 35 planned lines in areas deemed most prospective for mineralization (shown in red in Figures 1 to 5 below). Triple L Property High-priority targets at Triple L Property were identified and selected through the interpretation of 2024 high-resolution magnetic (MAG) and time-domain electromagnetic (TDEM) survey results, alongside satellite image interpretation. Several prospective anomalies will be investigated by the field team, with support from a Beep Mat to refine target detection for potential copper-nickel mineralization. These high-priority zones are highlighted in red on the maps (see Figure 1). Geophysical surveys are not definitive, and the results are still at an early stage of interpretation, with no guarantee of a mineral discovery. The Beep Mat is a portable electromagnetic survey instrument that continuously records subsurface readings as it is pulled along the ground by an operator. It emits a distinctive audible "beep" when a conductive body is detected within approximately three metres. Elmer East Property At the Elmer East Property, priority prospecting targets were identified via satellite image analysis. The high-priority zones, shown in red (Figure 2), represent areas where bedrock is most likely outcropping or sub-outcropping, with potential for lithium-bearing pegmatites. Several outcrops have been identified in the southern block of the Elmer East Property. "We're excited to kick off the 2025 exploration program at our Triple L and Elmer East properties," said Vincent Metcalfe, Chair and CEO of Comet Lithium. "This initial phase is a critical step in advancing our portfolio, and our systematic, first-pass approach is designed to efficiently evaluate multiple high-priority target areas. At Triple L, identifying copper-nickel showings is a key focus, and our early geophysical interpretation and satellite analysis have revealed highly promising anomalies. With the expertise of our field teams and partners, we're well positioned to uncover meaningful mineralization and unlock the broader potential of both properties."
