, with several candidates from the capital securing top ranks.

Residential Coaching Academy
(RCA) made a remarkable impact. Thirty-two of its students cleared the exam this year, among them 12 women.
Among them, Alfred Thomas has emerged with the highest rank at 33, followed by Iram Chaudhary (AIR 40) and Ruchika Jha (AIR 51). Several of the successful candidates are expected to join prestigious services like the IAS and IPS.
RCA provides 500 hours of coaching, covering prelims, mains and interview preparation, supplemented by mock interviews and lectures from retired civil servants and former toppers. It has a strong track record.
"In the previous UPSC cycle, 31 candidates from the academy qualified, with Nausheen securing a top-10 rank (AIR 9). Notably, Shruti Sharma, the All India Rank 1 holder in 2022, is also an alumna of RCA. Since its inception in 2010-11 under the UGC's initiative at Jamia's Centre for Coaching and Career Planning, RCA has helped 332 candidates crack the civil services exam," said an official.
Jamia's vice-chancellor Mazhar Asif and registrar Mehtab Alam Rizvi congratulated the achievers and particularly applauded the performance of the women, calling them role models for future aspirants.
Kirori Mal College (KMC) alumni also made their mark. Two former students secured AIR 18 and 20, highlighting Delhi's strong presence in this year's results.
The highest-ranked candidate from Delhi, Akash Garg, a student of Guru Gobind Singh Indraprastha University, secured an impressive all-India fifth rank. A graduate in engineering from Maharaja Agrasen Institute of Technology, affiliated with IP University, Akash completed his studies in 2022 and succeeded in his second attempt.
