The 30-year-old, who played for Southern League club Bashley, was on the way home from an away game at Tavistock in Devon when the accident happened.
Bashley hosted AFC Bournemouth's development side for Chiedozie's benefit on Friday, with the youngsters winning 6-1.
On X, Bashley FC's page said the result paled into insignificance as its supporters came out in force to show their support for him.
"The football came second today, it was all about showing support and love to the inspirational Jordan Chiedozie," it said.
Chiedozie played for the Cherries' academy side for seven years earlier in his career and was recently given a tour of the club's new performance centre by head coach Andoni Iraola.

He told the BBC on Friday that support from the football community "means everything" to him.
Chiedozie lost his right leg and suffered open fractures on his left leg, along with a cracked pelvis.
"I've still got a long journey, learning a whole new lifestyle with the prosthetic leg," he said.
"It's hard to process - you are happy and blessed to be here but you have still gone through serious injuries."
Having started his career at AFC Bournemouth, he went on to play for clubs including Cambridge United, Margate, Poole Town and AFC Totton.
After Chiedozie was injured, many football clubs organised match day collections, along with an online fundraiser.

More than £34,000 has been raised to help the self-employed striker, who also worked in the building industry.
A 44-year-old woman, from Wraysbury in Berkshire, was arrested on suspicion of drink driving and causing serious injury by dangerous driving and was later bailed until 1 May, extended until 1 August.

Caitlin Clark injury update: Fever superstar exits Sun game late
The Indiana Fever got the 85-77 victory over the Connecticut Sun at TD Garden on Tuesday night, but the win could prove to be incredibly costly. Superstar guard Caitlin Clark left the game with less than a minute left in regulation and looked to be in noticeable pain. Advertisement After she's missed 10 games this season with both a quad strain (5 games) and a groin injury (5 games), the troubling sequence of events that closed Tuesday night's contest could hint to yet another injury. The Sun game was the fourth contest she's played in since her second return from injury last week. While there is no official word on Clark's condition as of now, her status for Indiana's Wednesday road game against the New York Liberty and the 2025 WNBA All-Star Game festivities are officially in question. After the game, Fever coach Stephanie White indicated that Clark "felt a little something in her groin," per IndyStar's Chloe Peterson. An evaluation will follow, per White. It's possible that this could be a new groin injury on the right side of her body, per a reporter's observation from the post-game press conference. We'll keep you updated once we know more on Clark's condition. Advertisement This article originally appeared on For The Win: Caitlin Clark injury update: Fever superstar exits Sun game late

Caitlin Clark aggravates groin injury in Fever win over Sun, days before All-Star Game, 3-point contest in Indiana
Indiana Fever's Caitlin Clark (22) gestures to the crowd during the first half of a WNBA basketball game against the Connecticut Sun Tuesday, July 15, 2025, in Boston. (AP Photo/Michael Dwyer) Caitlin Clark started slow, but finished strong on Tuesday as the Indiana Fever secured an 85-77 win over the Connecticut Sun. She then sat the game's final seconds in clear discomfort in her fourth game back from a groin injury. Clark left the game with 39.6 seconds remaining and the Fever holding an 84-77 lead. After the game, Fever head coach Stephanie White told reporters that Clark "felt a little something in her groin." Advertisement She'll undergo further evaluation for the apparent injury. The injury takes place days away from the All-Star weekend in Indiana, where Clark is slated to participate in the 3-point contest and captain her All-Star team in front of her home crowd. Her status for the events was not clear in the immediate aftermath the game. Clark clutched her right thigh after a pass in the game's final minute and walked to the bench with a grimace on her face. She did not return to the game. It wasn't immediately clear if Clark had sustained an injury. Either way, she remained on the bench with the Fever in control of the game. Advertisement Another poor shooting night for Clark before strong finish Clark struggled from the field but finished strong to help close out the win. She faced an against an aggressive Sun defense in her fourth game back from a five-game absence due to her groin injury and struggled with her shot. She missed her first five field goals of the second half and didn't score in the half until a jumper midway late in the fourth quarter. She also missed her first five 3-point attempts before hitting a late deep ball to extend Indiana's lead to 80-71. She finished 4 of 14 from the field and 1 of 7 from 3. The effort marked Clark's fourth straight game since her return from injury in which she shot 33.3% from the field or worse. Advertisement But Clark scored nine straight Fever points late in the game to help put the Sun away. And she contributed outside of the scoring column as she finished with 14 points, seven rebounds and a game-high six assists. She turned the ball over five times. Fellow Fever All-Star Aliyah Boston was also limited in an 11-point effort while shooting 2 of 6 from the floor. She didn't score her first field goal of the game until the third quarter. But Natasha Howard (18 points) and Kelsey Mitchell (20 points) picked up the slack to spoil the Connecticut showcase in front of a sold-out TD Garden crowd of more than 19,000 fans in the home of the Boston Celtics. No repeat of tension from previous Sun-Fever tilt Their previous meeting on June 17 resulted in multiple scuffles and three late-game ejections after Indiana's Sophie Cunningham committed a hard foul on Connecticut's Jacy Sheldon. That foul led to a tussle under the basket and Cunningham, Sheldon and Connecticut's Lindsay Allen getting tossed. Advertisement By then, the outcome of the game was squarely in hand in favor of the Fever. Cunningham's foul of Sheldon appeared to be in retaliation for an eye-poke of Clark in the first-half that sparked another scuffle that resulted in Marina Mabrey shoving Clark to the court. Mabrey wasn't ejected, but the WNBA upgraded her shove of Clark to a flagrant 2 after the game. The game prompted criticism of the officials for letting the physical play get out of hand. There was no such drama Tuesday night. Though Clark did give officials an earful after they granted Connecticut a challenge of an out-of-bounds call. Clark continued to talk to officials as the review ensued. It was ultimately ruled in favor of the Sun, and Connecticut was granted possession of the ball, overturning the call on the floor. That was largely the extent of any tension Tuesday as Connecticut played Indiana to a much closer game, whose outcome wasn't decided until the final moments. But the Fever prevailed to improve to 12-10. They'll face the reigning champion New York Liberty Wednesday in their last game before the All-Star break.
