Bollywood fans are in for a treat as Sanjay Dutt is all set to star alongside Aayush Sharma for the very first time in a film titled My Punjabi Nikaah. The film is being directed by Sohail Khan, who shared the exciting news through his social media account. Fans are thrilled about this fresh pairing and are already looking forward to what's in store for them.
According to sources close to the development of the film, My Punjabi Nikaah won't focus on the usual high-octane drama with which both the actors are often associated. Instead, the upcoming Sohail Khan movie will be a comedy filled with laughter and lighthearted moments. An insider quoted by Moneycontrol said, 'Sohail Khan is excited to bring together Aayush Sharma and Sanjay Dutt in a narrative that will be a fresh experience on the big screens."
Speaking about the theme of the film, the source added, 'Offering something new and lighthearted to the audience, the film will ditch action and will solely focus on heartfelt comedy, bringing more fun and camaraderie than conflict to the screens. It's been a while since the audiences have experienced good laughter in the theatres, and 'My Punjabi Nikaah' promises to serve just that!"
Following his fierce role in the action thriller Ruslaan, Aayush will be seen portraying a completely new character, very different from anything he has done before. The upcoming project could be a big step in the actor's career and help him show his acting versatility. As for Sanjay Dutt's role, nothing has been confirmed yet. Besides the duo, the comedy caper will also feature Annu Kapoor and a new actress.
Just a week back, Sohail Khan took to his Instagram account and announced his directorial My Punjabi Nikaah. His post featured pictures with the Governor Of Punjab, Gulab Chand Kataria, the Chief Minister Of Haryana, Nayab Singh Saini and the Chief Minister Of Punjab, Bhagwant Mann. Through his post, Sohail informed fans that all three politicians gave a green signal for the shooting schedule of his film in Punjab and Haryana.
A part of his caption read: 'I was overwhelmed, and my heartfelt thanks to all the senior politicians who are making my ambitious journey as comfortable as possible. The love, affection, support and accommodations extended to us is highly appreciated. Communal post case: Influencer Sharmishtha Panoli gets bail by Calcutta HC; to furnish bail bond of Rs 10,000
Sharmishtha Panoli (File photo) NEW DELHI: The Calcutta high court on Thursday granted interim bail to social media influencer and law student Sharmishtha Panoli, nearly a week after her arrest for allegedly hurting religious sentiments through an Instagram video. Panoli was arrested on May 30. The high court directed Panoli to furnish a bond worth Rs 10,000. The 22-year-old, who was taken into custody by Kolkata Police from Gurugram last Friday, had been sent to judicial custody by a local court in Kolkata till June 13. However, her legal team moved the high court seeking relief, arguing that the case was a matter of free speech and that Panoli had already removed the controversial video and issued an apology. Her counsel, Md Samimuddin, said the court directed the state to ensure Panoli receives basic amenities while in custody, noting that such provisions were currently lacking. 'The High Court has also instructed the authorities not to register any fresh FIRs on the same cause of action,' he added. The arrest stemmed from a complaint filed by Wajahat Khan Qadri at the Garden Reach police station in Kolkata.
