DEHRADUN: Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami on Tuesday lauded
Prime Minister Narendra Modi
's leadership on the completion of 11 years in office, stating that India has emerged as a major global power under his tenure.
Speaking at the press conference, CM Dhami said, "Today, India is a major global power. The entire world sees India with hope. These 11 years of PM Modi will be written in golden words..."CM further added, "Post Independence, the people had hope from the government, but to realise that hope, it's PM Modi who has worked in the last 11 years with a motto of 'sab ka saath, sab ka vikas, sab ka prayas'..."PM Modi first took oath as the Prime Minister of India on May 26, 2014, and is serving his third consecutive term.
Marking the occasion, the Union government also released a comprehensive e-book detailing achievements across various sectors over the past 11 years. The year 2025 marks 11 years of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's government.
The book said that these 11 years have been dedicated to bringing about inclusive, progressive, and sustainable development. "The government under Prime Minister Modi has been steadfast in its commitment to creating equity and opportunity for all citizens," it added.

"PM Modi has brought the politics of development - Vikasvaad - into the mainstream, making it the focal point around which political discourse and policy action now revolve," it reads.

Professional colleges plan to boycott counselling over pending fee reimbursement dues
1 2 3 Hyderabad: With fee reimbursement dues reaching Rs 7,500 crore, all professional college managements are considering boycotting the counselling for various Common Entrance Tests (CETs), including the EAPCET, ICET and LAWCET, and refusing to accept any 'zero fee' admissions for the 2025-26 academic year. The managements of professional colleges have formed a new association, the Federation of Associations of Telangana Higher Education Institutions (FATHI), to advocate for their cause, demanding that the state clear the dues by Aug 15. The federation includes management from engineering, pharmacy, law, nursing, MBA, MCA and BEd colleges. "All professional colleges are on the verge of closure. We have not received any fee reimbursement in the last three years. If the state does not clear our dues immediately, we won't be able to survive. This is why we have decided not to accept any 'zero fee' admissions and to boycott counselling," said G Nagaiah, general secretary of FATHI. He added that the outstanding fees would total Rs 10,000 crore by next March. According to its members, the association is even considering legal action to recover the dues. Doubts arise over completing caste census afresh in 90 days
Bengaluru: Doubts have arisen over whether the govt will be able to complete the exhaustive socio-economic and education survey — or the caste census — within the 90-day time frame set by Chief Minister Siddaramaiah. Since the survey ran into stiff resistance from several communities, especially Lingayats and Vokkaligas, the Congress high command on Tuesday directed the govt to conduct the survey afresh. However, while many legislators say a re-enumeration within this time frame is an impossibility, ministers insist the Karnataka State Commission for Backward Classes (BC) can complete the survey if it is a "shortened" version of the original. The original survey took two years to complete. BK Hariprasad, MLC and former AICC general secretary, accused the govt of "giving in" to those who claimed there were lapses in the original survey conducted 10 years ago. "These lapses cannot be called unscientific data collection," said Hariprasad. The BJP on Wednesday highlighted the 'transformation in the lives of an average Indian citizen' as well as the strides in both the country's economy and its standing in the global order in the last 11 years of the Narendra Modi-led NDA government at the Centre. Union Minister Ashwani Vaishnaw gave a presentation on the 11 years of 'seva (service)', 'sushashan (good governance)' and 'gareeb kalyan (welfare of the poor)' under PM Modi's leadership. He said 'humongous tasks' had been fulfilled under the Prime Minister's leadership to put the country on the path of 'long-term growth'.
