Kid Rock's Nashville Restaurant Closes Over Concerns of ICE Raid: Report
The post Kid Rock's Nashville Restaurant Closes Over Concerns of ICE Raid: Report appeared first on Consequence.
Kid Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse in Nashville reportedly shut its doors on Saturday to avoid potential ICE raids sweeping the area.
Nashville Scene reports that employees without legal citizenship were told to leave work at Kid Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse around 9:30 p.m. local time on Saturday in order to avoid detention by ICE agents.
'We were already understaffed because of the ICE raids throughout the weekend,' an employee, who asked to remain anonymous to avoid retaliation, told the Scene. 'There was no one in the kitchen to cook the food.'
While Kid Rock licenses his name to Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse, the business is actually owned by conservative restaurateur Steve Smith. Per Nashville Scene, Smith's other Nashville eateries also shut down Saturday night over ICE raid concerns, and on Sunday, some struggled with staffing as workers avoided returning to work, fearing arrest.

Madden 26 trailer puts the Super Bowl champs front and center in bold Eagles focus
Everyone's favorite sports simulation is back, and Philadelphia Eagles star Saquon Barkley was chosen to grace the cover. Correction... Everyone's favorite sim is almost ready for its return. August 14 is the release date for Electronic Arts' Madden 26 game, and yes, you read that correctly. That reads 'favorite sim'. No disrespect is intended to the makers and fans of the NBA 2K franchise. They've done a heck of a job with their product. But this is Electronic Arts' Madden NFL franchise. Come on. There's no debate. Madden is the grandaddy of them all, sort of like the Rose Bowl in Pasadena. Madden 26's trailer dropped, and it's Eagles-heavy. This one ranks among the best they've ever done. Don't take anyone else's word for it. Feast your eyes, and take a look for yourselves. This article originally appeared on Eagles Wire: Philadelphia Eagles earn top billing in Madden 26 trailer

Eminem, Post Malone Make Cameos in Adam Sandler's ‘Happy Gilmore 2' Trailer
Adam Sandler's Happy Gilmore is hitting the green nearly three decades later to stage a golf comeback, and he's bringing along a cavalcade of stars in the official trailer for Happy Gilmore 2. 'Even when you're at the top of your game, you can always shank one,' the failed-hockey-player-turned-golf-pro says, setting the scene for the challenges ahead. In the sequel, Gilmore needs to raise $300,000 for his daughter's (played by real life daughter Sunny Sandler) ballet school tuition, so he decides to take another swing at golf for the tournament cash. There are also a slew of newcomers for the sequel, including Bad Bunny, Gilmore's caddie, whom he just met and is breaking in during the tour championship. Eric André, Margaret Qualley, Martin Herlihy, Eminem, Post Malone, Travis Kelce, and Kevin Nealon are among the cavalcade of stars who make appearances in the new trailer for the film. Sandler teamed with his co-writer for the original, Tim Herlihy, to co-write the screenplay for the sequel. The Kyle Newacheck-directed film arrives via Netflix on July 25. Water from Your Eyes Announce New Album It's a Beautiful Place, Reveal 2025 Tour Dates
The post Water from Your Eyes Announce New Album It's a Beautiful Place, Reveal 2025 Tour Dates appeared first on Consequence. Water from Your Eyes are back to announce a new album, It's a Beautiful Place, out on August 22nd via Matador. They've also confirmed a major 2025 North American tour set for this fall, and revealed the first single off It's a Beautiful Place: 'Life Signs.' The former CoSigns, comprised of songwriters Rachel Brown and Nate Amos, were inspired by turn-of-the-millennial sonics, outer space, existentialism, and writing for their newly-fitted live band on It's a Beautiful Place. 'It ended up being about time, dinosaurs and space,' Amos said of the new album in a press release. 'We wanted to present a wide range of styles in a way that acknowledges everything's just a tiny blip.' Get Water from Your Eyes Tickets Here They'll be supporting It's a Beautiful Place with a sprawling North American tour this fall, which kicks off in Philadelphia on September 22nd. They'll make their way through cities like Washington D.C., Atlanta, Nashville, Chicago, Montreal, New York, Austin, Los Angeles, Seattle, Vancouver, and many more; they'll conclude the run on November 7th in Denver before heading off to Europe. Her New Knife, Winter, and Dutch Interior will provide support throughout the trek. See their full list of tour dates below. Tickets for Water From Your Eyes' 2025 tour will first be available via an artist pre-sale beginning on Wednesday, June 4th at 12:00 p.m. local time; fans can sign up for pre-sale access to their desired show date(s) on Water From Your Eyes' official website. A Live Nation pre-sale is also available for select dates beginning on Wednesday, June 4th at 12:00 p.m. local time (use code TREBLE). Tickets go on-sale for the general public on Friday, June 6th at 10:00 a.m. local time via Ticketmaster as well as the band's official website. 'Life Signs' serves as the lead single for It's a Beautiful Place and it's a moody, guitar-forward introduction to the album's expansive sound. Cycling between slightly threatening and resigned, Amos brings palm-muted arpeggios and grungy blasts of guitar while Brown narrates deadpanned, surrealist verses. The song also arrives with a music video inspired by several eras of television, and feature Amos and Brown in a variety of vintage sets and situations. Check out 'Life Signs' below. Since releasing their lauded 2023 album Everyone's Crushed, Brown and Amos have been busy; they toured frequently, embarking on a large slate of dates opening for their labelmates Interpol (including their performance in Mexico City, which drew 160,000 attendees) and a co-headlining run with Squid. They also resurfaced for a covers EP in 2024. Meanwhile, they both released solo albums: Brown shared an EP under the moniker thanks for coming, while Amos released an acclaimed debut album Box For Buddy, Box For Star last year as This Is Lorelei.
