Kid Rock's Nashville Restaurant Closes Over Concerns of ICE Raid: Report
The post Kid Rock's Nashville Restaurant Closes Over Concerns of ICE Raid: Report appeared first on Consequence. Kid Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse in Nashville reportedly shut its doors on Saturday to avoid potential ICE raids sweeping the area. Nashville Scene reports that employees without legal citizenship were told to leave work at Kid Rock's Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse around 9:30 p.m. local time on Saturday in order to avoid detention by ICE agents. 'We were already understaffed because of the ICE raids throughout the weekend,' an employee, who asked to remain anonymous to avoid retaliation, told the Scene. 'There was no one in the kitchen to cook the food.' While Kid Rock licenses his name to Big Ass Honky Tonk Rock N' Roll Steakhouse, the business is actually owned by conservative restaurateur Steve Smith. Per Nashville Scene, Smith's other Nashville eateries also shut down Saturday night over ICE raid concerns, and on Sunday, some struggled with staffing as workers avoided returning to work, fearing arrest. I Prevail Part Ways with Founding Vocalist Brian Burkheiser
The post I Prevail Part Ways with Founding Vocalist Brian Burkheiser appeared first on Consequence. I Prevail and vocalist Brian Burkheiser have mutually parted ways. Burkheiser, who served as the metalcore band's clean-singing vocalist since its formation, had previously stepped away from the group to battle Eagle's syndrome, an uncommon disorder caused by an elongated or misshapen bone just below the ear, or an issue with a related ligament. The condition causes severe nerve-like pain in the jaw bone and joint, back of the throat, and base of the tongue, triggered by swallowing, moving the jaw, or turning the neck. Get I Prevail Tickets Here I Prevail have already been touring without Burkheiser for some time, with co-vocalist/growler Eric Vanlerberghe handling the lion's share of the singing, backed up by guitarist Dylan Bowman on additional vocals. The band officially confirmed the permanent split with Burkheiser via the following statement in an Instagram post on Thursday (May 15th): 'To Our I Prevail Family: Today we share that we are mutually parting ways with Brian Burkheiser. This was a difficult decision, but we believe it is the right one and we are all grateful for the 10 epic years we shared together. We wish Brian nothing but success and happiness in his future endeavors. Moving forward, Eric will continue to be the powerhouse frontman you've come to know and love. He'll be backed up live by Dylan who you've seen in this role many times over the years at the shows we've performed without Brian. Rest assured, we will continue to deliver the high-energy shows that we've made a pillar of our band, and we will continue to perform all the bangers from our catalogue. All scheduled shows will go on exactly as planned. New music coming soon… See you out there. Eric, Steve, Dylan and Gabe' The news comes as I Prevail prep for a major tour as part of the massive 'Summer of Loud' metalcore package alongside co-headliners Beartooth, Killswitch Engage, and Parkway Drive. The outing is set to launch on June 21st in West Palm Beach, Florida, with tickets available here. Below you can see I Prevail's social media statement announcing the departure of Brian Burkheiser. Chris Brown Arrested in England for Allegedly Smashing Tequila Bottle on Producer's Head
The post Chris Brown Arrested in England for Allegedly Smashing Tequila Bottle on Producer's Head appeared first on Consequence. Chris Brown was taken into custody in Manchester, England, on Thursday on suspicion of causing grievous bodily harm. The arrest stems from a 2023 incident at a London nightclub in which the R&B singer allegedly struck music producer Abe Diaw with a tequila bottle, according to The Sun. Diaw previously filed a lawsuit against Brown, claiming the singer 'beat[sic] him over the head' with a bottle of Don Julio 1942 tequila, then proceeded to 'ruthlessly stomp' on him. As a result, Diaw says he 'suffered severe and lasting injuries,' including lacerations on his head and torn ligaments in his leg.
