Anti-Israel activist confronts former IDF soldier on New York beach, gets questioned in return
The incident, captured on video and posted by ILTV Israel News, shows the activist shouting accusations and interrogating the man and his friends in an increasingly heated exchange.
"Yesterday, an unhinged pro-Hamas protester targeted a former IDF soldier on a New York beach, simply for wearing a Star of David," the outlet captioned the clip on Instagram.
"Despite her shouting and offensive behavior, the Israelis stayed calm, respectful, and composed. The only hate in that video came from one side as usual and it wasn't theirs," the post continued.
In the video, the activist approaches a man sitting on a towel with a woman and another man, accusing him of war crimes.
"You went to Gaza, right? You fought children? You killed children in Gaza?" she shouts at him.
Both men calmly answered her questions. One of them confirmed he served in the Israel Defense Forces and had been stationed in Gaza. The woman he's sitting with adds, "He went to Gaza to help all the children that your people killed."
As the woman continues filming and yelling, one of the men attempts to de-escalate.
"So if you want to see a picture of [my brother] over there right now, I can show you what's going on."
The protester screams back, demanding to see it.
"Please show me a picture of your brother in Gaza, please do. Please. The world wants to see your faces. The world does want to see your faces!" she screams at him.
She then asks if he is proud of his service. Smiling, he replies, "I'm proud of serving my country."
That only fuels her anger. "You think killing other people and radicalizing them makes your people safer?" she shouts.
He calmly fires back, bringing up the Oct. 7, 2023 Hamas attack, in which over 1,200 Israelis were slaughtered and hundreds taken hostage.
The man invites her to have a real conversation. She refuses.
He asks if she's ever been to Gaza.
"I cannot go to Gaza," she replies. "Your people are not letting me."
"If you go there right now, dressed like that, they'll slaughter you," he says, pointing to her bikini.
"That's not true!" she screams back.
A lifeguard eventually approaches, attempting to mediate. The protester claims the Israelis insulted her and that they are IDF soldiers who "killed people in Gaza."
"Insulted you? How did I insult you?" the man asks, still calm.
He again offers to talk — she declines.
"Why would I want to talk to your guys? You guys have killed my people! You're killing children," she yells. "Why are you sitting with people who kill children? Is that cool for you?" she asks the other man sitting in the group.
"Just leave us alone," the man replies.
As she walks away, she shouts one final slogan: "Free Palestine!"

Greg Gutfeld Hugs Jimmy Fallon and Plugs His Game Show in Fox News Host's First Late-Night Crossover
Greg Gutfeld made his broadcast late-night debut on 'The Tonight Show Starring Jimmy Fallon' Thursday evening, marking a rare network crossover with the Fox News host visiting NBC's 30 Rock. A conservative media personality is a rare booking for 'The Tonight Show' and the 10-minute segment between Gutfeld and Fallon largely steered clear of politics. After being introduced to the stage, Gutfeld met Fallon with a big hug, lifting his own feet off the ground mid-embrace before taking a seat. Gutfeld then nosedived into a story about meeting Fallon roughly 15 years ago at a Hell's Kitchen bar, in which both parties were 'wasted.' More from Variety Donald Trump Claims He Was Not 'Solely Responsible' for Canceling Stephen Colbert's 'Late Show,' Adds 'Less Talented' Jimmy Kimmel and 'Very Insecure' Jimmy Fallon Are Next Stephen Colbert 'Late Show' Features Cameos by Jimmy Fallon, Jon Stewart, John Oliver, Seth Meyers, Adam Sandler and More in Spoof of Coldplay Kiss-Cam Video Jimmy Fallon Teases New NBC Show 'On Brand' and Playing Frisbee Golf With Brad Pitt for Upcoming 'Tonight Show' Episode: 'We Both Showed Up in Tie-Dye Outfits' In the segment, Gutfeld also gave an account of various 'firings' that led him to working at Fox News. He shared that his hired his mother as a 'senior correspondent' for his first Fox News show, 'Red Eye.' His mother's duties amounted to watching Fox News and catching Gutfeld up on the stories of the day. After Fallon congratulated Gutfeld on 'everything you've done,' the conversation concluded with a plug for the new Fox Nation game show 'What Did I Miss?,' in which contestants are sequestered for 100 days and then asked if recent news headlines are real or fake. After a jokey tangent about how 'we didn't pay them anything,' Gutfeld did bring up the topic of Trump and how 'you never know what he's going to do,' adding to the appeal of his show's premise. Fallon added: 'You wouldn't even have to sequester people.' Though 'Gutfeld!' airs 90 minutes earlier than traditional broadcast late-night programs, like Fallon's and Jimmy Kimmel's, the Fox News host has often touted that he draws a larger viewership than such programs. When Stephen Colbert announced on-air that 'The Late Show' would be ending in 2026, Fox News published an article about the consistent growth in ratings for 'Gutfeld!' since its premiere in 2021. The piece also underlined that 'Gutfeld!' has drawn a bigger audience than Colbert for nearly two years on the smaller reach of a cable network, albeit in an earlier time slot. 'They just didn't cancel the show. They canceled the whole show,' Gutfeld said about Colbert's show being canceled in July. 'This was an 'institution,' and rather than put someone in his place they just said, 'We're closing up.' Imagine being a chef. You're such a bad chef that they cancel food. … It's so obvious. You can't do a comedy show and a sermon at the same time.' The Fox News host teased his appearance on 'The Tonight Show' last week, calling the taping 'the biggest crossover since the Harlem Globetrotters visited the Golden Girls.' He also side-eyed other late-night hosts by adding, 'Unlike the other guys, Jimmy sitting with me proves he's not afraid of upsetting his peers or afraid of my mesmerizing charm.' Fallon took a few jabs at President Trump in Thursday's monologue, with jokes like 'The only places Trump didn't [tariff] are North Korea and Epstein Island.' However, 'The Tonight Show' has largely opted out of political commentary in recent years, even as other late-night hosts like Colbert, Kimmel and Fallon's NBC peer Seth Meyers have all leaned further into the subject. The Jonas Brothers also guested on Thursday's episode of 'The Tonight Show,' while Good Charlotte provided a music performance. Encore casino crash suspect in critical condition after being shot by police, DA says
A man who stole and crashed a Republic Services trash truck near Encore casino in Everett Thursday afternoon was shot by police during the incident and is now in critical condition, according to Middlesex County District Attorney Marian Ryan. Everett resident Admilson Vizcaino is facing charges including armed assault with intent to rob, carjacking and leaving the scene of a car crash involving property damage in connection with the incident, Ryan said during a Thursday evening press conference. What authorities say happened The incident began around 12:45 p.m. when Medford police received a report that a person at a Sunoco gas station — who was later identified as Vizcaino — was 'acting erratic,' Ryan said. Viscaino left the gas station in a black Chevrolet SUV before officers arrived. Medford police asked other local police departments to be on the lookout for the SUV, and soon after, a Stoneham police officer unsuccessfully attempted to pull Vizcaino over, Ryan said. Around 2 p.m., the SUV was spotted at a 7-Eleven in Billerica, where a shoplifting incident had just taken place. Around 3:15 p.m., Malden police responded to an address after a relative of Vizcaino's reported that he was there, Ryan said. Officers arrived at the address as Vizcaino was leaving in the SUV. They then began pursuing him, but lost sight of him as he crossed into Everett. Soon after, Vizcaino crashed the SUV near the Encore casino, but kept driving it until it became completely inoperable, Ryan said. He then tried to steal several nearby vehicles — including a moped — but was unsuccessful. Vizcaino continued down the road until he came to the trash truck, which was stopped at a red light, and tried to force the driver out, Ryan said. By this time, Everett and State Police had caught up to him and began trying to de-escalate the situation. Read more: Suspect crashed stolen car near Encore casino, stole Republic Services truck, police say Vizcaino ignored commands from police to get away from the truck, and police shocked him with a Taser several times as he tried to force his way in, Ryan said. As he was trying to pull the truck door open, an Everett police officer shot at him several times and struck him. Vizcaino still managed to get the truck door open and struggled with the driver while wielding a knife, Ryan said. The passenger in the truck exited through the passenger side door, and officers were eventually able to safely remove the driver from the truck. Vizcaino then got into the driver's seat of the truck and began driving down Broadway, striking utility poles, fire hydrants and a scooter and causing other property damage on the way, Ryan said. State Police troopers soon deployed 'stop sticks' to deflate the truck's tires, and the truck eventually came to rest on the Alford Street Bridge that leads to Boston. Troopers and police officers from other departments surrounded the truck and arrested Vizcaino as he tumbled out of it, Ryan said. He was taken to a hospital, where he remains in critical condition. Police later searched the SUV and found a gasoline can that Vizcaino had been seen with at the 7-Eleven, Ryan said. Authorities are still investigating what he planned to do with the gasoline, but the district attorney described the presence of the can as being among 'very concerning facts.' What's next Vizcaino will be arraigned on the charges at a later date if he recovers from his injuries, Ryan said. The district attorney would not say how many people were injured during the incident, if any. The officer who shot Vizcaino has been put on administrative leave, per Everett police policy, Everett Police Chief Paul Strong said during the press conference. 'It is more likely than not that these officers and troopers saved many lives today during this event,' he said.
