'I tested Amazon's top-selling Belissima Styler and the results surprised me'
Shopping Writer Meghan has got her hands on this Bellissima Air Styler that's one of Amazon's top-selling hairstyling tools - putting it to the test, she says she 'was not expecting these results'
As someone who was born with naturally very curly hair, I never had to learn how to create curls with heated tools - if I wanted to rock curly hair on any given day, I'd just leave my hair dry naturally and be done.
That said, I've been dipping my toe into the world of hair stylers in recent years, and one I've always been curious about is the iconic Dyson Air Wrap - but they're not known for their affordable price tags, as a typical set retails for £500, so they're not the most feasible choice when it comes to your average budget.
I recently got my hands on this Air Multi Styler from Bellissima. It retails for substantially less than the likes of Dyson and is so popular that it's nearly always sold out on Amazon. The retailer's top-selling air styler is currently up for grabs for the reduced price of £159.99, but it's running incredibly low in stock, so you'll need to be super speedy to snatch one up before it's out of stock again.
If you miss your chance on Amazon or don't mind splashing a tad more cash, you can pick up the same Bellissima Prodigy Air Multi Styler directly from Bellissima (where it's currently up for grabs for the discounted price of £179.99 down from £249.99) or you can shop at Boots, where the set is available for the same price.
Set to be the ultimate air styler for stepping up your hair routine with easy and damage-free hairstyles, the Prodigy comes with an impressive six heads to switch between, offering plenty of versatility when it comes to picking your preferred look. The set includes a handy beauty bag that's ideal for keeping your kit safe and easy to take with you when you travel, and the following six styling options: detangle and smooth (flat brush head), extra wavy (round brush), volumise and straighten (oval brush), two coanda prodigy (curling wands), and gentle dry (a hair dryer attachment).
The air styler also offers plenty of flexibility to best suit your hair and styling needs, as it comes with three fan speeds, three temperatures and a cold blast, which is recommended for locking in your look.
Boasting Hi-Pro Ceramic Technology that promises shiny and glossy hair, without damage, this styler comes armed with a digital motor and digital heat control that ensures five times the pressure of a conventional hairdryer, providing ultra-fast drying while the tool checks the temperature 50 times per second, avoiding heat damage. The gadget also boasts Ion Care Technology, which means you don't have to worry about frizz and flyaways, as it prioritises shinier and smoother locks.
On to my experience with the styler; as I said earlier, I'm not proficient when it comes to hairstyling tools, but this device was surprisingly easy and hassle-free. Yes, it did take me some time to get into a rhythm, but when I was using the Coando Curlers, I found it to be seamless to use, and I barely had to do anything. Thanks to Bellissima's Coanda Technology, which generates 200 micro-flows of air, your hair wraps around cylinders smoothly without you needing to painstakingly wrap every segment around or risk burning your fingers.
I was hoping for defined waves and curls, and I was shocked by how little time it took. I will note that the hair styler is relatively big, longer than your average straightener or curling wand when the Coanda Prodigy curlers are attached—while I got used to this, as a beginner, this does take some time to get used to. That said, once I familiarised myself with how this thing operates (with easy-to-use controls that let you seamlessly switch between temperatures and speeds), it took a surprisingly short period of time to get the curls I was hoping for.
I will point out that I have relatively short and thin hair, so I imagine styling would take longer for someone with thicker and longer hair, but all in all, I think it took me 20 minutes. I did section my hair into three layers to make grabbing sections easier without too much hair getting in the way, but I don't think this would be necessary depending on the style you're trying to achieve. I would recommend sectioning if you have more hair than I do, as the air styler did have a tendency to pick up hair outside of my section, if I wasn't paying attention - so if, like me, you want tighter curls, you'll need to keep an eye to make sure too much hair isn't wrapping around the curler.
While I did play around with the other heads, the Coanda Prodigy curlers have definitely proven to be my favourite for getting smoother, more defined curls that beat even my natural hair. Regardless, I was blown away by this set's versatility and its catering to plenty of hair types and styles. It's super easy to use, with a coherent set of instructions also included, making it simpler than ever to achieve coveted styles without the need for experience or proficiency with other hairstyling tools.
It's also important to note that as someone with bleached hair, I always worry about my hair getting fried by too much heat. After using this air styler, my hair didn't feel dry or brittle at all. In fact, I did think my curls felt noticeably smoother, and my hair appeared to have a bit more of a shine to it. That said, I did use a heat protector spray, which may have contributed to those results. I used the Colour Wow Dream Coat.
And it's not just me who's obsessed with this hair styler. Bellissima shoppers have bestowed a near-perfect rating on this set, currently boasting an impressive 4.8 out of 5 stars. One satisfied shopper shares: "I bought this last week, and it's AMAZING! It dries my (long and thick) hair within 10 minutes. Especially for this price, it is the best out there! Additionally, this product simply looks beautiful and very aesthetically pleasing."
Another fan of the Prodigy Air Styler beams: "This air styler is a must have for anyone. I have been amazed by the results, taming my hair to make it smooth and aleek And very simple styling. I'm amazed how the air style works. The curling tongs are great. It comes in a beautiful gag and has several attachments which are easy to attach and swap."
And a third chimes in: " Absolutely amazing product! So versatile! Works so effectively for many different hair styles! So durable and very portable for travel! Feels very safe to use no concerns whatsoever!"

POLL: What do you think to Prince Harry's strange plan for his kids?
Prince Harry and Meghan may have stepped back from royal life - but they're not shutting the palace gates for their kids just yet. The couple reportedly want Archie and Lilibet to keep their titles, sparking debate over whether it's about choice … or mixed messages. Despite Prince Harry and Meghan Markle stepping away from their royal duties and all the palace drama a while ago, it seems they're keeping the door open for their kids to walk a different path. They reportedly want Prince Archie and Princess Lilibet to hang onto their royal titles - just in case they decide they do want to be working royals one day. Apparently, Harry and Meghan see it as giving their kids the option when they're older. But here's where it gets a bit sticky, as the 'plan' comes after the source claimed the Sussexes feared passports for their children were being held up due to the use of their royal titles. It has all raised a few eyebrows., with former BBC royal correspondent Jennie Bond asking why the Sussexes are holding so tightly to the titles when they've been so outspoken about wanting out of the royal system in the first place. So, what do you think? Is Harry being thoughtful about giving his kids future choices — or is it a bit contradictory after everything he and Meghan have said about the monarchy? What do you think to Harry's plan? Take our poll below. If you can't see it, click here Jennie Bond told the Mirror: "I really don't understand why, having extricated themselves from a life they did not enjoy and in which Harry has publicly spoken of 'feeling trapped', they want to give their children the option of re-joining. It makes no sense. "Who knows what's going to happen in the future? But it's very hard to see how two children who are clearly now more American than British would want to change their whole way of life and become working members of the royal family." Archie and Lilibet got prince and princess titles when their grandfather King Charles became monarch in 2022. The first time their titles were formally announced was after Lilibet's christening in March 2023. Due to the reported hold-up in their British passports, it is said that Harry started to explore the possibility of changing his family surname to Spencer in a nod to his late mother, Princess Diana. And Jennie added: "I think Harry has always been more Spencer than Windsor, so if he was ever going to change his name, it would be to Spencer. "But this would be a final nail in the coffin of his relationship with his father and his brother. It would amount to a public declaration that he no longer saw himself as part of the royal family." There has been continued controversy over the Sussexes' HRH titles since the pair quit their royal roles five years ago. As part of their Megxit negotiations with the Palace, Meghan and the Duke of Sussex agreed to stop using 'Her Royal Highness' and 'His Royal Highness' at the end of March 2020. They still retain the styles, with Harry having had his since birth, but they are essentially held in abeyance. However, earlier this year, it emerged Meghan had used her HRH style on a gift basket sent to make-up entrepreneur Jamie Kern Lima last year, with a monogrammed card reading: 'With Compliments of HRH The Duchess of Sussex'. Kern Lima showed an image of the present in footage of her podcast interview with Meghan. It contained a jar of Meghan's jam which she has started selling as part of her As Ever lifestyle business brand. A source described the basket as a 'personal gift'. The duchess's representatives denied that the couple used them, but a source later said that the Sussexes did not use HRH publicly but retained the style, and did not use it for commercial purposes.

Meghan shares video of family trip to Disneyland for Lili's fourth birthday
The montage also features a clip of Archie, six, and Lili meeting Disney princess Elsa, from the film Frozen. Meghan wears a Minnie Mouse hat in some of the snaps featured in the video, while another image shows a two-tier Little Mermaid-themed birthday cake for Lili. The duchess captioned the video: 'Thank you @disneyland for giving our family two days of pure joy!' The footage was reminiscent of photos taken of the duke when he was eight and his mother Diana took him and William to Walt Disney World. At the time, the royal siblings were photographed sitting at the front of a log on the Splash Mountain ride, with adults from their mother's entourage behind them and Diana seated at the back. Meghan's post follows a number of family shots over recent days to mark Lili's birthday. In one, she posted a throwback video of herself twerking in a bid to bring on labour while pregnant with the princess, while another post featured a black and white snap of herself cuddling Lili. In another post, she described how Lili's relationship with Harry was 'the sweetest bond to watch unfold'. She shared two photos of the princess with her father the duke, adding: 'Daddy's little girl and favorite adventurer. Happy birthday Lili!' Lili – the Duke and Duchess of Sussex's youngest child – was born on June 4 2021 and was named Lilibet Diana Mountbatten-Windsor. Lilibet is named after her great-grandmother Queen Elizabeth II.

Meghan Markle's awkward joke to Kate met with 'yawning silence' at huge event
In his memoir Spare, Prince Harry recalled how his sister-in-law the Princess of Wales asked his new wife Meghan Markle what she thought of her first Trooping the Colour in 2018 - and it seems the response was awkward It's just days before one of the biggest events in the royal calendar - Trooping the Colour. It sees all the royals out in force for the annual Sovereign's Birthday Parade followed by them Firm appearing on the Buckingham Palace balcony. In recent years, spots on the balcony for the RAF flypast have been reserved for working members of the monarchy only - however, this wasn't always the case. And before quitting as working royals and carving out a new life in the United States, Prince Harry and Meghan Markle were regulars at the major event. Meghan's first appearance was in 2018, just weeks after she tied the knot with Prince Harry in a fairytale ceremony in Windsor Castle. But in Harry's controversial memoir, Spare, it was revealed Meghan tried to crack a joke with her sister-in-law Kate, but it led to a "yawning silence". At that year's event, Meghan looked stunning in a baby pink dress and matching hat, standing proudly next to her new husband who was dressed in his military uniform. And while Meghan was seen chatting with Kate, William and Camilla, Harry claims things were far more awkward behind-the-scenes. Harry claims that once they stepped back inside, Kate asked Meghan what she thought of her first Trooping the Colour and she replied: "Colourful". Harry writes: "A yawning silence threatened to swallow us all whole". The Sussexes attended Trooping the Colour the following year, but since that they've not been on the balcony with the rest of the royals. And it seems Meghan has another important event to go to on the same day of Trooping this year. It has been revealed she will speak as the guest of honour at a museum's Night of Wonder in the US, as part of her work championing community wellbeing. Meghan will be joined by other high-profile guests at the Natural History Museum in Los Angeles, as the space is transformed into an enchanted nocturnal garden. The event will feature live music and installations representing local ecosystems and the LA landscape, and guests will be treated to a farm-to-table dinner that uses ingredients from the museum's nature gardens. The duchess's mission to advance community wellbeing and uplift young women "dovetails with the museums' approach to connecting community and science by fostering meaningful educational experiences that empower young minds", the Office of Prince Harry and Meghan said. Among the programmes shared on the website of their charity, the Archewell Foundation, is The Welcome Project, where Meghan focuses on addressing "the social isolation recently resettled women experience around the world and building more inclusive and connected communities". NHMLAC's president and director Lori Bettison-Varga said: "We are proud to honour Meghan, Duchess of Sussex, a native Angeleno, whose work to advance community wellbeing and expand opportunity, especially for underserved communities, aligns with our equity-focused approach to developing science literacy for the next generation, including through our Stem and Steam Pathways programmes."
