Jean (Gillian Wright) made a surprise proposal in Monday's episode of EastEnders as she asked Harvey Monroe (Ross Boatman) to marry her.
As EastEnders fans will know, Harvey's been sneaking around behind Jean's back - carrying on a steamy affair with none other than Kathy Beale (Gillian Taylforth).
With Jean shutting him out as she supports her grief-stricken clan after Martin Fowler's (James Bye) tragic death, Harvey's found comfort in Kathy's arms - but how long can the secret stay hidden?
Harvey was all set for a Slater family camping trip - but things hit the skids when a fiery row between Stacey (Lacey Turner) and Lily (Lillia Turner) causes the whole getaway to be called off.
Harvey turned to Kathy for comfort.
But wracked with guilt over their affair, he headed home to reveal all to Jean… only to be blindsided when Jean popped the question.
Jean said: "I'm a lucky girl, Harvey. I'm lucky to have you and I don't tell you often enough and I know I give you a hard time sometimes.
"But honestly, there's not a single day that goes by when I don't look at you and thank my lucky stars."
As Harvey interrupted Jean and asked her: "Do you think we can go somewhere in private?"
Jean chimed in: "I want to do something - Harvey Monroe... will you marry me?"
EastEnders win TV Bafta for the first time in six years after Emmerdale was forced to withdraw
However, Jean's spontaneous decision to propose sets off a chain of events that shockingly exposes his and Kathy's affair.
Upcoming scenes will see Harvey finally pluck up the courage to tell Jean the truth - but just as he's about to confess, he ends up accidentally accepting her proposal.
As the Slaters pop the fizz to toast the news, Harvey sneaks off for a cheeky snog with Kathy - unaware that their stolen moment is being secretly filmed by a smug Cindy Beale (Michelle Collins).
And for Cindy, who's still hellbent on revenge after Kathy's Christmas Day attack, it's the golden ticket she's been waiting for.
Best soap affair love triangles
LOVE triangles are a fundamental part of soap-land, but which ones have become the most iconic?
EASTENDERS
Bradley/Stacey/Max: Stacey Slater began an affair with boyfriend Bradley Branning's dad Max in 2007.
Despite their romps, Stacey still married Bradley, but their deceit came out in an iconic Christmas Day episode that year.
Grant/Sharon/Phil: Heading even further back in Walford history, EastEnders fans were gripped in the 90s as Sharon Watts had a one-night stand with her brother-in-law Phil Mitchell.
Sharon confided in best friend Michelle Fowler - not realising it was caught on tape - and her husband Grant eventually found out and played it in front of everyone at the Queen Vic.
Syed/Amira/Christian: Syed Masood was engaged to Amira before realising he had feelings for another man, Christian, which he confessed to him on his wedding day.
A devout Muslim, Syed refused to admit his true sexuality and went ahead and married Amira anyway, but when they returned, the two men started an affair before being caught in the act by Amira.
CORONATION STREET
Shelley/Peter/Lucy: Peter Barlow took the concept of a love triangle and ran with it in Coronation Street - extending it to bigamy.
He was in a relationship with Shelley Unwin but started dating Lucy Richards, and quickly married her after she fell pregnant with his son, Simon.
But it didn't stop him also marrying Shelley, but he was eventually caught when Lucy turned up in Weatherfield and the two women confronted him.
Ken/Deidre/Mike: Back in 1982, Deirdre Barlow started sleeping with her husband's nemesis Mike Baldwin in secret, before confessing all a year later.
When Mike turned up at the marital home, Deirdre was being throttled by her husband who then kicked her out, but years later they reconciled.
Maria/Aidan/Eva: In 2017, Aidan Connor started sleeping with girlfriend Eva Price's best friend, Maria Connor.
Eva eventually found out and she decided to take revenge by faking a pregnancy, spending his money and planned to confront him on their wedding day.
But she had a change of heart when a remorseful Aidan confessed, and decided to marry him anyway, only for Maria to arrive and expose her fake pregnancy.
EMMERDALE
Ross/Debbie/Pete: Debbie Dingle found herself torn between two brothers, Ross and Pete Barton in 2015 in Emmerdale.
She eventually decided to marry Pete but yet again, a soap wedding day was ruined when the groom learned of his bride's betrayal via a recording played at the wedding.
Chrissie/Robert/Aaron: Robert Sugden was married to Chrissie White and all seemed well - until he began a steamy affair with Aaron Dingle.
Robert's ex Katie Sugden almost exposed the affair - but fell to her death before she had the chance.
However, a guilty Aaron eventually cracked and told Chrissie about the affair - after which she announced it to the whole pub.
Later in the week, The Vic is packed to the rafters as the Square raises a glass to Lauren Branning (Jacqueline Jossa) and Peter Beale's (Thomas Law) new bundle of joy.
But things quickly take a turn when Cindy - still fuming after being frozen out by her family - decides it's payback time.
In classic Cindy style, she hijacks the celebration and stuns punters by playing the explosive video of Kathy and Harvey's steamy smooch… right in front of a devastated Jean.
Will Jean kick Harvey to the kerb for good - or is there still hope for the unlucky-in-love cabbie?
EastEnders airs Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One or stream from 6am on BBC iPlayer.

Cain is left reeling after unexpected new discovery in Emmerdale

Kammy Hadiq (Shebz Miah) is a man who takes risks in Emmerdale, always in the hope they'll be worth it. But pretending he's the manager of Cain Dingle's (Jeff Hordley) garage was a risk that was never, ever going to pay off. A few days ago, Belle Dingle (Eden Taylor-Draper) received confirmation that she was now officially divorced from Tom King (James Chase). Once Tom's relatives Nicola and Jimmy King (Nicola Wheeler and Nick Miles) discovered the development, they offered Belle some support, and Nicola wondered how long it would be until she started getting back into the dating scene. Belle set up a profile on an app and Nicola managed to grab her phone and swipe on a few accounts, one of them being Kammy's. Of course in the moment his phone pinged with the notification, Kammy didn't know that Nicola had swiped, which meant the next time he saw Belle, he was coy and giggly, wondering how long it would be until they went out on a date. Because of Belle's anxieties surrounding relationships, she quickly shut Kammy down and said she wasn't interested at all. In tonight's episode though, it was clear that wasn't entirely true. Belle arrived in the café and found Kammy. They joked about Kammy lying on his profile and pretending that he's the boss at Cain's garage. And then he arrived. Cain questioned Kammy about this and it left him fearful, but it was clear he wasn't being totally serious. As he approached the counter for a drink, Cain glanced back at Belle and Kammy. They were laughing together and Cain realised that his sister was very much enjoying Kammy's company. A while later, Cain found Kammy in the village. He apologised again about the profile lie, but then found himself feeling even more awkward when Cain wondered if there was something going on between him and Belle. Kammy reassured Cain and said they're just mates. Cain can clearly sense something is going on though as if not, he wouldn't have felt the need to remind Kammy that Belle has been through an awful lot, and doesn't need someone messing her around. More Trending In the pub, Belle discovered what Cain had said to Kammy, and reiterated that they were just friends. Want to be the first to hear shocking EastEnders spoilers? It certainly left Kammy feeling a little bit crushed, but he will find himself smiling in the coming days, as he spends more time with his new pal. Belle is encouraged by Lydia Dingle (Karen Blick) and decides to relish in the good vibes Kammy brings. Great British Bake Off to return as trailer reveals hosts and judges lineup

The Great British Bake Off has dropped a trailer for its upcoming season of the hit baking show. A minute-long teaser for the Channel 4 reality programme was released on Wednesday (13 August), which features the voice of comedian Joe Wilkinson who takes the audience on a journey through space and time - and baking ingredients. In the trailer, hosts Noel Fielding and Alison Hammond can be seen as animated characters. "From it grew life, intelligent life, adorned in knitwear and leopard print,' Wilkinson narrates. After various shots of the big bang mixed with baked goods, the camera pans out of Paul Hollywood 's eye. 'Once there was nothing, and then there was Bake Off,' Wilkinson states. Prue Leith is not featured in the trailer, though Channel 4 confirmed she will be taking part.
