Scary Spice Mel B's secret second wedding ceremony — see inside the lavish palace celebrations

Former Spice Girl Melanie 'Scary Spice' Brown has revealed she said 'I do' twice to her new husband, sharing private photos from inside her second wedding ceremony. Brown tied the knot with hairdresser Rory McPhee in a star-studded ceremony at St Paul's Cathedral in London on July 5. But on Sunday Brown revealed she and McPhee had travelled to Morocco to say 'I do' for a second time. 'We got married! Again! A wedding so good we kept the celebrations going with our closest and dearest,' Brown captioned a photo of the happy couple dancing. 'We had the time of our lives.' Brown looked stunning in a strapless red jewel-encrusted gown by New-York based designer Justin Alexander. She also wore a red and gold headpiece. London-based boutique Evelie Bridal said it took months to create Brown's second wedding look. 'Thank you for the laughter, the trust, and the endless fun along the way,' it said on Instagram, alongside a picture of the singer. 'You always found a way to keep things light and make everyone feel at ease.' McPhee wore a short white tuxedo jacket, black trousers and bow tie. The beaming bride revealed the venue for the second wedding — Selman Marrakech — was one the couple's favourite places. The luxurious five-star hotel's website describes it as 'a palace of singular charm, a testament to the splendor of Moorish palaces and the epitome of Arab elegance'. While 'Baby Spice' Emma Bunton was the only former Spice Girl to attend Brown's London wedding, it appears 'Sporty Spice' Melanie Chisolm was at the second destination wedding, UK news outlet The Sun reported. 'What a weekend! So happy we got to share it with you,' Chisolm—, a new addition Seven's The Voice Australia coaching panel — commented on the Moroccan wedding photo. While Bunton liked Brown's photo, she made no reference to whether she attended the second wedding, The Sun added. 'Posh Spice' Victoria Beckham and 'Ginger Spice' Geri Horner are yet to comment. Brown's sister Danielle also shared pictures and videos of the celebrations, which show Brown dancing the night away with her guests. This is Brown's third marriage. She has three daughters from her previous relationships.

Nexus Airlines moves to suspend Kimberley flight route from September 2025

In another blow to air services in the Kimberley, Nexus Airlines has moved to shut down its flights between Broome, Kununurra and Darwin by the end of August. The final flight from Broome to Darwin via Kununurra will depart on the morning of September 1, with Nexus Airlines to give out full refunds to all passengers booked to travel after that flight. Nexus Airlines managing director Michael McConachy cited increased competition from Airnorth, a Northern Territory‑based regional carrier owned by Bristow Helicopters Australia and a subsidiary of the US‑based Bristow Group, for the closure of the route. 'The additional capacity they introduced, and aggressive pricing have made it financially unsustainable to continue on this route and, despite Nexus taking a significant share of the market, ultimately they have deeper pockets and were prepared to continue to fly with unused capacity,' he said. 'It's a difficult business decision, especially as someone who is deeply passionate about tourism and regional growth in the Kimberley, but I remain hopeful we'll return to this route in the near future.' Mr McConachy said it was a 'disappointing' decision to make. 'I'm proud of what we've achieved. Nexus Airlines was created to improve air connectivity across regional WA,' he said. 'Having now lived in the Kimberley for nearly two decades, I witnessed firsthand how poor reliability and high fares contributed to market failure on this route, which was a key motivation in bringing Nexus Airlines to the Kimberley.' Other Nexus routes including between Perth and Geraldton, and between Geraldton, Karratha, Port Hedland and Broome continue to perform well and will remain unaffected by this network change, according to Nexus. Mr McConachy backed recent calls from the Shire of Wyndham-East Kimberley for the State Government to regulate the sector in the region. 'Regulation through a competitive tender process, where one airline is granted exclusive access to a route, can be a vital tool in protecting essential air services,' he said. 'In regions where passenger volumes are too low to support multiple operators, this approach helps ensure communities continue to benefit from dependable, affordable air travel. It's about safeguarding access to tourism, education, health care and local business. 'My hope is that the Kimberley route will be fully regulated. This would allow fares, frequency and service levels to be set and monitored by the State Government, delivering the best outcome for the towns and regions along the route.' It comes after Qantas decided to shutter Jetstar Asia in June — taking Broome's short-lived Singapore flight connection with it, which was the first international flight route for Broome International Airport in years. With the route lasting less than a year before being axed, Broome International Airport chief executive Craig Shaw described the move as 'disappointing' and a blow to the region's aspirations of boosting international tourism and business at the time.

Koala Airlines to launch in Australia in 2026

A new budget airline carrier will be launching in Australia. Koala Airlines is expected to launch in late 2026 in a bid to break the duopoly Virgin Australia and Qantas have in the local air travel market. The airline says it is going to do things differently compared with other budget airlines that have previously tried — and failed — to break into the market. 'While many new low-cost carriers have entered the market since 1990 and focused solely on offering cheaper fares, almost entirely leading to unsustainable competition, Koala is taking a more innovative route,' it said on its website. 'Our goal is to carve out a unique niche that enhances the industry landscape without disrupting existing standards by creating a lasting impact on the industry.' Carriers which have previously attempted to compete with Virgin and Qantas have particularly struggled on major routes, Flight Centre Travel Group chief executive Graham Turner told Sunrise on Tuesday. He said Virgin was now quite strong financially following its new partnership with Qatar Airlines this year. 'Qantas has had a couple of great years financially as well and replacing a lot of their planes with new planes, so it is going to be a tough market for Koala to break into, there's no doubt,' Turner said. Koala Airlines acquired Desert Air Safaris Pty Ltd — a charter flight and air tours company operating in Australia, Papua New Guinea and the Pacific Island since 1970 — in 2019. However, Koala does not yet have a fleet of commercial passenger jets or the relevant aviation certificate. Turner said this is probably why the airline is not launching until late next year. 'I haven't actually met with them yet. We have a meeting coming up in the next week or so, so I don't know all the details but I presume this is why they're not launching until the end of next year … so that they have time to get these things in play,' he said. Rex and Bonza, budget airlines that have most recently attempted to cement themselves in the domestic market, both entered voluntary administration in 2024. Turner said the Australian market is ready to sustain a third airline, but any competition would need some serious financial backing. 'They will need some investors with very deep pockets, I don't think there's any doubt about that,' he said. 'We've had basically two airlines for as long as I can remember. The Australian domestic market is quite a prolific one. It's a big market, even by world standards. I think Melbourne to Sydney is the fifth busiest route in the world. 'I think they can (succeed) but the financial aspects of the player will need to be very, very strong.'
