Atlético Madrid star agrees contract termination
That's according to Fabrizio Romano, who points towards Saúl Ñíguez as the player in question.
Saúl for his part spent this past season out on loan away from Spain's capital, with Atléti's La Liga rivals, Sevilla.
As much came with the 30-year-old no longer featuring in the plans of Diego Simeone and his staff.
Saúl has since gone on to return to the Metropolitano, after Sevilla decided against moving forward with a permanent deal for his signature.
But as alluded to above, the former Chelsea man's stay back in Madrid will not last at all long…
As per a report from market insider Fabrizio Romano:
'Saúl terminates his contract at Atlético Madrid and leaves the club after 17 years. Trabzonspor will sign Saúl as verbal agreement is done.'

Official: Real Madrid registers one of its academy players with the first team.
Real Madrid recruits players from its academy. Getty Images After Real Madrid struggled last season due to a defensive shortage caused by injuries and player absences, and coach Carlo Ancelotti's use of some distinguished names from the reserve team, it appears that some players have decided to continue their careers with the first team and avoid having to return to the reserve team. One of the names that will clearly have an important role next season is young defender Raul Asensio, who has given his all to serve Real Madrid during this difficult period that the team has recently been going through. Raul Asencio signs for the first team Although the player was a regular first-team player for much of last season, he was still registered with the reserve team under number 35 and had not been registered with the first team. Today, however, things have changed. The player was officially registered with the first team on Monday, making it a truly special moment for him and his family to represent his dream team and the first team as well. Despite his recent struggles, Marco Asensio retains a first-team position as per his recent contract renewal terms. His squad number remains undecided. While likely to stay, Madrid may consider selling the Spanish winger following his form dip. The decision could hinge on Militao, Rudiger, and Alaba's performances, with only Huijsen currently being a guaranteed starter. Last season saw Asensio make 23 league appearances, contributing to six clean sheets while averaging nearly nine defensive actions per match.

Chloe Kelly among four England players in Euro 2025 team of the tournament despite starting zero games
Lionesses super-sub Chloe Kelly is among the England quartet to feature in the Euro 2025 team of the tournament after guiding her side to back-to-back European Championships. Having also proved the match-winner three years earlier at Wembley, Kelly fired in the deciding penalty in the final's shootout to retain England's crown and down world champions Spain. Kelly has been hailed for her contributions in England's triumph after providing game-deciding contributions in all of England's Euro 2025 knockout matches. Her crosses led to both goals in the quickfire comeback against Sweden, before bagging a 119th-minute winner in England's semi-final win over Italy. She then assisted Alessia Russo's equaliser in the final before slotting home the winning spot-kick. All of her heroics, however, came off the bench, with Kelly not starting a single game for Sarina Wiegman in the tournament. With it evident that she doesn't need a starting berth to do the damage, she has remarkably earned a place in Uefa's team of the tournament, despite her comparably inferior average game-time. Kelly is joined by fellow final hero Hannah Hampton in the team, who made two superb saves in the shootout that saw England overcome Spain 3-1 on penalties. Lucy Bronze has also been named for her contributions, with it emerging after the final that the Chelsea right-back played the entire tournament with a fractured leg. Completing the England foursome is Russo, who started up top for all six games for Wiegman, ever-present in the Lionesses' success. England's fellow finalists make up much of the rest of the ultimate XI, with Spain similarly boasting four players. The midfield three of Aitana Bonmati, Alexia Putellas and Patricia Guijarro are all named in the team of the tournament, while centre-back Irene Paredes is also included. Germany duo Jule Brand and Frankziska Kett earn their respective places, with Italy's Elena Linari rounding out the star-studded team.

Liverpool forward CONVINCED Richard Hughes to sell Luis Diaz
Liverpool will soon wrap up a €75m deal which sees Luis Diaz join Bayern Munich. The Colombia winger, 28, joined the Reds back in 2022 for an initial fee of £37.5m (€45m) and his signing has largely been a success. Diaz has won all the major honours in the domestic game - contributing 13 goals en route to the Premier League title last season. LFC x New Era Shop Now LFC Signed Merch Shop Now LFC x Titleist Shop Now Arne Slot opted to use the forward in two different positions during the title-winning campaign - wide on the left as well as in a false 9 role. But with two years left on his contract - and no prospect of a renewal - the time has come for a parting of the ways. Sporting director Richard Hughes has done great business - effectively doubling Liverpool's money on Diaz. Liverpool well-covered on left wing It had been speculated that the Reds could go into the market for a direct replacement - with Rodrygo among the options mentioned. However, according to a new report from James Pearce in the Athletic it appears Liverpool will instead spend the Diaz fee on ANOTHER target - most probably Alexander Isak. That's because the club believe that the current options they possess on the left are sufficient with Cody Gakpo, Hugo Ekitike and Florian Wirtz all capable of filling in. And the emergence of , meanwhile, may be the key factor in the Anfield club declining the opportunity to sign a left winger. Ngumoha a factor in Diaz decision 'Liverpool believe they have sufficient left-sided cover already in place," the report reads. 'Cody Gakpo, who scored 18 goals in all competitions last season, is expected to kick on and play an even bigger part. 'New signing Hugo Ekitike can operate off that flank as well as through the middle, while the emergence of Rio Ngumoha is another factor. 'It would be wrong to expect too much from Nguhoma given he doesn't even turn 17 for another month, but he's a massive talent. 'He has lit up pre-season and you don't want to block his pathway.' © IMAGO - Rio Ngumoha Liverpool
