Beyoncé concert surprise: Mom stuns daughter with dream tickets
Eight-year-old Nalah was stunned when her mom, Brinn Nicole, surprised her with Beyoncé concert tickets in Los Angeles.
Two iconic punk bands, hailing from the '70s, are coming together for a limited-run tour this fall.
Devo and The B-52s announced their 11-city "Cosmic De-Evolution Tour" on Monday, June 16. Tickets go on sale this week for the tour that starts in late September.
The joint tour comes after both bands have performed farewell tours. The B-52s concluded its retirement tour in November 2022 and has had a residency at The Venetian Theatre in Las Vegas, Nevada since. And Devo will finish its "50 Years of De-Evolution" tour in November (after extending the tour last year).
"In 2022, I swore I'd never get on a tour bus again," B-52s front man Fred Schneider said in a news release. "But we were careful to say to our fans that we would still perform in special situations that don't require all of the awful tour travel. Our Vegas residency is going great, and when we were offered the chance to do a small run of shows with Devo, we all said this is an extraordinary opportunity we couldn't say no to."
The B-52s and Devo, punk bands that emerged during the 1970s, reconvened for "SNL50: The Homecoming Concert" at New York City's Radio City Music Hall in February. It was here that the bands talked about doing one last kick off together.
"Believe or not, we've never done more than a festival or two together in all this time," B-52s lyricist Cindy Wilson said in a news release. "This will be amazing and I can't wait for The B-52s to share these stages with Devo."
Here's what to know about the "Cosmic De-Evolution Tour," including tour dates and cities and how to purchase tickets.

Injured WWE Superstar To Be Sidelined Until 2026: Report

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. An update has been provided on the status of injured WWE superstar Liv Morgan. The former Women's World Champion, who has been out of action since June with a dislocated shoulder, will likely be on the sidelines for several more months. According to a new report from PWInsider, Morgan was scheduled for a fresh evaluation of her surgically repaired shoulder this week. The company remains hopeful that she will be back in action in early 2026. WWE "Revenge Tour" Derailed Liv Morgan suffered the injury on the June 16th edition of Monday Night Raw. The dislocated shoulder required surgery and brought her career-best run to a sudden and unfortunate halt. At the time of her injury, Morgan was at the peak of her popularity. She had spent the previous year on an incredible "Revenge Tour," a storyline that saw her transform into a more aggressive and chaotic character, leading to a reign as the Women's World Champion. WWE Creative Domino Effect Morgan's injury could not have come at a worse time, as it forced WWE to scrap several major plans for the summer. This included a planned program against the returning Hall of Famer Nikki Bella, which was slated for the all-women's Evolution premium live event in July. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match Her injury also forced a change to the WWE Women's Tag Team Championship picture. She and her partner, Raquel Rodriguez, were the reigning champions. Morgan was replaced by NXT's Roxanne Perez, and the new team went on to lose the titles to Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss at SummerSlam. A Potential WWE Royal Rumble Return While Liv Morgan's road to recovery continues, many fans are already looking ahead to January. A surprise return as an entrant in the 2026 Women's Royal Rumble match is a classic WWE comeback story and would be the perfect stage for the beloved star to make her triumphant return. A Royal Rumble victory would instantly launch her back into the main event picture, setting her on a path to a championship match at WrestleMania. For now, however, her focus remains on rehabilitation. Liv is one of WWE's biggest female stars and would be a welcomed addition back to the roster once she's medically cleared to go. 10 New Songs You Need to Hear: Khalid, Jay Som, Steve Lacy and More

Khalid, 'In Plain Sight' With 'In Plain Sight,' Khalid dumps a cheating boyfriend and wonders how he didn't see it coming. While the singer moves from suspicion to ultimatum — 'If you're the type to sneak around / Just leave the keys on your way out' — the music bounces along, springy synth-pop R&B that barely contains his anger. Dijon, 'Another Baby!' The songwriter and producer Dijon has been a prominent collaborator with Bon Iver and Justin Bieber, abetting their experimental impulses. 'Another Baby!' from his second full-length album, 'Baby,' is just as bold. It's a love song with more than a hint of Prince. Dijon gleefully proposes, 'Let's make a baby,' in an overstuffed sonic fun house, with voices and instruments constantly popping out of nowhere: wriggly synthesizers, plinking pianos, clanky percussion, all in the service of lusty commitment. Steve Lacy, 'Nice Shoes' The songwriter, producer and one-man studio band Steve Lacy emerged from the 2010s group called the Internet to make loose-limbed, low-fi, singsong tracks like his 2022 TikTok blockbuster, 'Bad Habit.' In 'Nice Shoes,' his first new song since 2022, he sets up a loop with a breakbeat, three chords, a child's shout and a stratospheric keyboard hook. He starts out singing about idle lust, but then swerves into a slow-groove, vocal-harmony invitation to 'let down your guard and be honest.' Then he brings back a noisily distorted version of the loop and a suddenly desperate plea: 'Make it stop!' Those non sequiturs aren't so casual after all. T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo, 'Trop Parler, C'est Maladie' In the 1970s, T.P. Orchestre Poly-Rythmo — a band from Benin that mingled highife, rumba, funk, psychedelia and far more — recorded a trove of albums that were only released locally. Now the label Acid Jazz UK is releasing them, and they're a joy, with songs that run the length of an LP side and could easily have gone longer. 'Trop Parler, C'est Maladie' ('Talking Too Much Is a Disease') is a breezy, upbeat tune with a mesh of guitars that looks toward both Congolese pop and psychedelia; it stays airborne for 16 minutes. Jay Som and Mini Trees, 'Cards on the Table' Jay Som (Melina Duterte) sings about an eroding friendship, or perhaps a romance, in 'Cards on the Table.' The track places a wistful, breathy melody atop a nervous electronic pulse, while backup vocal harmonies — from Duterte and Mini Trees (Lexi Vega) — billow behind her like chemtrails. In a few verses, the singer moves from hunch — 'You give just enough to keep me around' — to certainty: 'Say it: You let me down,' she realizes. Hannah Frances, 'Surviving You' In 'Surviving You,' Hannah Frances sings that she's 'Smoldering as the rage lingers longer / There's nothing more to give toward forgiveness.' A 5/4 beat creates a heaving momentum that's compounded with layered, staggered vocals and a pileup of guitars, reed instruments and feedback. Even as she furiously breaks away, she admits to a contrary pull; the song's final lyric is a repeated word: 'homesick.' Want all of The Times? Subscribe.

WWE Hall Of Famer Leaves The Door Open For Another Match

Based on facts, either observed and verified firsthand by the reporter, or reported and verified from knowledgeable sources. Newsweek AI is in beta. Translations may contain inaccuracies—please refer to the original content. WWE Hall of Famer Torrie Wilson has addressed the possibility of an in-ring return, stating that she believes she still has another match in her. While she has not competed in a one-on-one match in over 17 years, the former star says she would be open to it for the right opportunity. Speaking with SHAK Wrestling, the popular star of the "Diva Era" confirmed that the door on her wrestling career is "never completely closed." Torrie Wilson: "The Door Is Never Completely Closed" Wilson explained that for any former wrestler, the desire to get back in the ring never truly goes away. She confirmed that she feels she could still compete at a high level, but the circumstances would have to be perfect. "I feel like if you've ever been in wrestling, the door is never completely closed," Wilson said. "People ask me a lot, do you have another match in you? I'm like, yes, of course." She added, "If something awesome came along, how would I not have that in me? It would take a lot more preparing on my end because I wouldn't want to go back and do something that didn't make people go, 'Oh wow, she is an athlete.'" After coming to WWE from WCW as part of the Invasion storyline in 2001, she quickly became a fan favorite. While known for her stunning looks and multiple Playboy magazine covers, she was also a capable in-ring performer who was part of many memorable storylines. More news: WWE Superstar Announces Retirement Match Her most famous feud was a bizarre and deeply personal angle with Dawn Marie, which controversially involved Wilson's real-life father, Al Wilson. After retiring from full-time competition in 2008 due to a back injury, she was inducted into the WWE Hall of Fame in 2019. Since stepping away from the ring, Wilson has become a successful web-based fitness instructor and coach. Her incredible physical condition at the age of 50 is a major reason why a potential in-ring return is a plausible scenario. She has made two previous one-off returns for special occasions. She was a surprise entrant in the battle royal at the first Evolution pay-per-view in 2018, and she also competed in the 2021 Women's Royal Rumble match. With other legends from her era, like Trish Stratus, making successful comebacks, Wilson's comments are sure to have fans fantasy booking potential dream matches for the Hall of Famer.
