‘Dilbert' creator Scott Adams, battling same cancer as Joe Biden, says Donald Trump called to offer help
Scott Adams
Scott Adams, the creator of the famous comic strip Dilbert, revealed in a recent livestream that US President
Donald Trump
called him amid his battle with aggressive prostate cancer, the same illness former President
Joe Biden
has.
Adams shared the story on Thursday while livestreaming on the video platform Rumble. He explained that Trump first called from an 'unknown' number, which Adams initially ignored due to receiving many calls from people checking on him about his cancer diagnosis. When he later checked his voicemail, the transcription began with, 'This is your favourite president.' Adams joked, 'Did I send the most important person in the world to voicemail?'
Later that day, Adams answered a second call from the same number and spoke with Trump directly.
At the end of their chat, Trump offered his support, saying, 'If you need anything I'll make it happen.' Adams described the moment as both 'weird and incredible,' especially given his difficult health situation.

'I am always in pain, use a walker to get around and expect to die sometime this summer. The pain [is] basically intolerable,' Adams said.
He also expressed sympathy for Biden and his family following the former president's announcement about his cancer diagnosis. Adams noted, 'I have the same cancer Joe Biden has... I've had it longer than [Biden] has had it. Well, longer than he's admitted to having it.'
Adams has been open about the severity of his illness, saying that despite the pain, he values the time left to organise his affairs and say his goodbyes.
'This [cancer] is really painful. Like, really, really painful. But it's also kind of good that it gives you enough time while your brain is still working to wrap things up,' he said during his livestream.
Meanwhile, medical experts have suggested that Joe Biden's cancer may have been present for years, possibly even before he became president in 2021. Oncologists point out that prostate cancer is typically easy to detect early, making the timing of Biden's recent announcement a subject of discussion.

Gunmen kill 25 in restive central Nigeria state
- JOS: Gunmen over the weekend killed 25 people in two attacks across north-central Nigeria's Benue state, local authorities told AFP Monday, the latest violence in a region known for deadly land disputes and reprisals. Attackers killed 14 people on Sunday in the community of Ankpali, said Adam Ochega, chairman of the Apa local government council, warning that "there are still some threats here and there". Muslim ethnic Fulani nomadic herders have long clashed with settled farmers, many of whom are Christian, in Benue over access to land and resources. In a recent report, Amnesty International tallied 6,896 people killed over the last two years in Benue, part of Nigeria's so-called Middle Belt, a mixed-religious region where such disputes often take on a sectarian dimension. A police spokeswoman confirmed the attack but did not provide a toll. In a similar attack Sunday evening on Naka village, of Gwer West local government area, 11 people were killed by what authorities said were suspected Fulani militias. "So far we have recovered 11 dead bodies and five people are confirmed injured," says Gwer West council chairman Ormin Victor. Last month, 44 people were killed in a span of four days in Gwer West. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Free P2,000 GCash eGift UnionBank Credit Card Apply Now Undo Motives for the violence in that attack were not clear, but Victor blamed the "coordinated attacks" on Fulani cattle herders. Herders across the region meanwhile say they are also the victims of deadly attacks by farmers, land grabs and cattle poisonings. Land used by farmers and herders in central Nigeria is coming under stress from climate change and human expansion, sparking deadly competition for increasingly limited space. Benue has been one of the states hit hardest by such violence between nomadic herders and farmers who blame herdsmen for destroying farmland with their cattle grazing. When violence flares, weak policing all but guarantees indiscriminate reprisal attacks, which often occur across communal lines. A spate of attacks across Benue and neighbouring Plateau state left more than 150 people dead in April alone. Land grabbing, political and economic tensions between local "indigenes" and those considered outsiders, as well as an influx of hardline Muslim and Christian preachers, have heightened divisions in Plateau state in recent decades.

Karol Nawrocki clinches narrow victory in Poland's presidential race
Karol Nawrocki , a conservative nationalist and EU sceptic, has narrowly won Poland 's presidential election, continuing a significant shift in the country's political power landscapes and intensifying the nation's deep ideological divisions. According to official results released by the electoral commission on Monday, Nawrocki secured 50.89% of the vote. He won against liberal, pro-European Union rival Rafał Trzaskowski , the mayor of Warsaw, who garnered 49.11%, representing Civic Platform (Platforma Obywatelska) party. Nawrocki, 42, is a historian and amateur boxer closely associated with Poland's right-wing Law and Justice (PiS) party. His campaign focused on prioritizing economic and social policies for Polish citizens, often at the expense of foreign nationals, including Ukrainian refugees. He has also voiced skepticism about Ukraine's potential NATO membership, a stance that drew criticism from Kyiv and further highlighted the election's geopolitical significance. The election outcome is a setback for Prime Minister Donald Tusk 's centrist, pro-EU government, which had sought to reverse many of the nationalist reforms enacted during PiS's eight-year rule. by Taboola by Taboola Sponsored Links Sponsored Links Promoted Links Promoted Links You May Like Villas Prices In Dubai Might Be More Affordable Than You Think Villas In Dubai | Search Ads Get Quote Undo Nawrocki's presidency ensures that the powerful presidential veto—frequently used by outgoing President Andrzej Duda—remains in the hands of the nationalist opposition, complicating Tusk's efforts to liberalize policies on issues such as abortion and judicial independence. Nawrocki's victory was celebrated by his supporters, with chants of 'Karol Nawrocki, the president of Poland,' as he declared, 'We will win tonight'. The result was closely watched across Europe, the United States, and Russia, given Poland's strategic role on NATO's eastern flank and its support for Ukraine against Russian aggression. Live Events The narrow margin and high turnout—over 71%—underscore Poland's polarization, with Nawrocki drawing strong support from younger voters and rural regions, while Trzaskowski prevailed among expatriates and in western urban centers. As Nawrocki prepares to take office, Poland faces a period of political uncertainty, with two competing power centers—the government and the presidency—likely to clash over the country's future direction.
