Akhilesh Yadav helps crash victims

Kanpur: Samajwadi Party national president Akhilesh Yadav halted his convoy while travelling from Saifai to his uncle Rajpal Yadav's residence in Friends Colony after witnessing an accident involving an injured couple and their daughter. Yadav personally ensured that all three were taken to the Uttar Pradesh University of Medical Sciences in Saifai and spoke with doctors there for better treatment. On Saturday, Akhilesh Yadav visited his ancestral village Saifai to celebrate Raksha Bandhan. In the afternoon, after meeting with the party workers in Saifai, he was on his way to visit his uncle Rajpal Yadav's house in the city's Friends Colony. On the way, near Chhimara Road on the Mainpuri Highway, he saw a husband, wife, and their daughter lying injured and with blood all around on the road, prompting him to stop his convoy. Akhilesh used an ambulance from his fleet to transport the three to Saifai Medical University. At the hospital, they were identified as Deepchand (52), a resident of Mandi Road, Bharthana, his wife Sunita (50), and their daughter Shivani (16). Deepchand told the hospital that they were travelling by moped to his in-laws' village of Bhaisan in the Jaswant Nagar police station area when a car hit them near Chhimara. Akhilesh Yadav also instructed CO Ramgopal Sharma, who arrived at the scene, to gather information about the vehicle involved in the accident and initiate action.
