Warm and windy with rain conditions expected
If you have outdoor plans this weekend, we can expect some nice and warm weather, although be prepared for windy and rainy conditions on Sunday.
Tonight, there is a chance of some moisture in the air, which may lead to a few light rain showers later in the evening.
The risk for these light showers will continue through the night, depending on whether the warm front moves northward.
The Daytona500 will start an hour earlier at 1:30 pm1:30 p.m. to get ahead of the late afternoon rain that's expected around 4 to 5 p.m.

We'll also have a windy Sunday afternoon with gusts over 35 miles per hour. For the rest of Presidents Day weekend, we're looking at much warmer temperatures tomorrow, with only stray morning rain showers expected.
Another cold front will arrive on Sunday, so there is a good chance of rain and thunderstorms. Presidents Day will be cooler, with high temperatures in the upper 60s.

More warmth and higher rain chances for central Florida's work week
It was a warm end to the weekend and more warmth and higher rain chances are on the way for the work week. The scattered showers and storms will quickly end this evening and quiet conditions are expected overnight. Morning temperatures will be in the mid-70s. It seems the Saharan dust will be slow to clear out Monday. Expect similar rain and storm coverage to Sunday, with many areas remaining dry. Highs for Monday will be in the mid-90s. Moisture quickly rushes in by Tuesday, resulting in much higher chances of rain and storms. Activity will mainly be confined to the afternoon and evening hours, with temperatures on Tuesday in the low 90s. Even more moisture is likely for midweek, with elevated coverage of rain and storms expected. Temperatures are expected to reach the low 90s on Wednesday and Thursday. Drier air starts to arrive on Friday, resulting in fewer afternoon storms. Highs to close out the work week will be in the low 90s. Central Florida bracing for heat, rising humidity, and scattered showers this week
Once again, afternoon high temperatures will reach the 90s. Across the region, high temperatures will range from 92 to 95. More humidity will build up later today, keeping quiet our afternoon temperatures in check for the next week. One or two passing showers will be possible mainly along the coast this afternoon and evening. No severe storms are expected. Consistent rain chances will return on Monday. These will be typical sea breeze storms that will continue for the rest of the week. The tropics are quiet for now. Tropicana Field repairs move forward 8 months after hurricane damage
An iconic baseball stadium in Florida is one step closer to being fixed. It's been about 8 months since Hurricane Milton ripped the roof off of Tropicana Field in Saint Pete. Local leaders just approved additional funding for repairs. Those funds will be used to clean up the stadium, repair its metal panels, and provide on-site security.
