Sheetal Maulik credits Sachin Pilgaonkar for kickstarting her acting career; says ‘He had offered me a role in a Marathi show'
Actress
Sheetal Maulik
, who is all set to portray Priya Jaiswal in the upcoming TV show
Meri Bhavya Life
, recently opened up about how her journey into acting began — all thanks to a life-changing suggestion from veteran actor
Sachin Pilgaonkar
.
Reflecting on her early days, Sheetal shared, 'Acting just happened. I'm a trained classical dancer, and I remember performing during one of my stage shows when Sachin Pilgaonkar sir happened to be in the audience. After the performance, I went to meet him to pay my respects, and that's when he suggested I try acting.'
Initially hesitant, Sheetal admitted that she had no formal training in acting at the time. 'I told him I didn't have any acting education.
But he must have seen something in me. He offered me a role in a Marathi show, and that became my acting debut,' she said.
Sheetal, widely known for her role as Sonali Chavan in
Ghum Hai Kisikey Pyaar Meiin
, quickly found her footing in the
Marathi television
industry. 'Soon, I started getting more roles in shows like Char Divas Sasuche and Avaghachi Sansar. I picked up the craft by being on set — learning to face the camera, deliver dialogues, and express emotions. My journey as an actor began from being a dancer.'

Friday figures se detach hona bahut zaruri hai, says Kartik Aaryan
The actor talks about how he deals with the pressures of opening-day collections While box office numbers are extremely crucial, and Kartik Aaryan has enjoyed several box office successes, he believes that actors should learn to have a certain sense of detachment from the pressure that comes with the Friday performance of a film. Addressing how he copes with industry demands, the Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 actor said, 'I think it's crucial to know the reality. Everything is temporary in the industry, whether it is success or failure. Kartik says that he hasn't let fame entirely change the way he likes living his life. 'Main jo bhi pehle karna chahta tha, woh sab kuch ab bhi kar raha hoon. Mere jo shauk thay maine pure kar liye hain, and I am still enjoying them. I still go to malls and enjoy roadside food. I don't let fame stop me from enjoying the simple pleasures of life,' he says. Kartik in a still from Bhool Bhulaiyaa 3 Kartik, who spent considerable time in the City of Nawabs (Lucknow) while shooting Pati Patni Aur Woh, said he was overjoyed to return. 'Lucknow is a city where our Hindi films are widely loved across UP,' he said, adding with a smile, 'Yaha aakar muskurahat khud hi aa jati hai!' -With inputs by Manas Mishra
