The area is popular with kite-surfers and wind-surfers due to the windy nature

It is often named the kite-surfing capital of Europe thanks to its strong winds making it a popular sport there.
Travel influencer Scarlett compared the vibe to being "Santa Cruz in California".
However, it is also often called the Bali of Europe thanks to its huge sandy beaches.
Another influencer, Travel with Rafa, sad: "It feels like a tropical paradise in the middle of the Mediterranean. It feels like the Bali of Europe!"
Playa de Bologna beach is one of the popular beaches where you can also go hiking as well.
Otherwise there is also Playa de Los Lances which is where you will spot most of the kitesurfers and windsurfers.
Or the Bali-like beach is Playa de Valdevaqueros, which is home to the surfer-style Tumbao Beach Bar.
Tourists also head to Waikiki beach bar, with Bali-like thatched umbrellas, or Aloha Bar for €3 cocktails.
Near this is also the Baelo Claudia, a 2,000 year old Roman town now ruins.
If you want to explore the Old Town, it is home to beautiful tapas bars, nightclubs and local shops.
Exploring the Beautiful Costa de la Luz
This is where the nightlife is as well, with many of the streets filled with both tourists and locals.
But while it is very Spanish in its atmosphere, it is also easy to see Moroccan influences as well with Moorish architecture.
Puera de Jerez is the ancient entrance of the walled town, and where you can also visit the 800-year-old Castle of Tarifa.
On a long walkway is also Isla de Tarifa which has some of the best views of the town as well.

While there are a number of hotels and B&Bs to choose from there are also a number of campsites and caravan sites.
For example, there is Via Villagio Tarifa, which has glamping pods right on the beach or Dunas Tarifa with palm tree cabanas and safari lodges.
Tarifa is also easy to get to, being around an hour from Gibraltar by car.
Or, if in Morocco, it is around one hour by ferry from Tangier which you can fly to from the UK for £20 with Ryanair.
Here is why you should visit the city of Tangier as well, which named a top holiday spot by Vogue last year.
Not only are new luxury hotels popping up, but it has even been used to film Jason Bourne, Mission Impossible and James Bond.
What is a holiday in Tarifa like?
Here's what one writer thought after visiting.
Old town Tarifa after 11pm turns in to what, in Britain, we might class as a street party.
There is a courtyard with bars all around it and seating in the middle which is so lively it almost has festival vibes.
Poniente's lazy start to the day looks even better when you learn that the clubs don't even open until 2am so you'll be needing that lie-in.
So if you go to Tarifa and find kitesurfing really isn't for you then you won't be short of things to do.
They say if you can kite in Tarifa, you can kite anywhere.
In the mean time, here is another Spanish island off the coast of Africa.
And a £5.1billion underwater tunnel could connect Spain and Morocco.

Flight attendant reveals real reason why you should never swap seats

By Switching seats on a plane is always controversial. And now a flight attendant has taken to social media to warn passengers not to let another holidaymaker switch seats with them. Leanna Coy, a cabin crew member based in the USA, posted a TikTok video titled ' Why you shouldn't switch seats on the plane'. The flight attendant explains that she was recently asked to switch seats with a passenger on a United Airlines flight. Leanna says that the woman asked her to swap her aisle seat for another aisle seat in a different row. She reveals: 'Normally, I am absolutely 100 per cent against changing seats. Your lack of planning should not constitute me having to move.' But on this occasion, Leanna explains that she decided to swap seats. However, the flight attendant quickly regretted her decision. The cabin crew member says that if the woman did anything against the aircraft's rules, such as smoking in the bathroom, her behaviour would be associated with Leanna's seat number. And there's another reason that Leanna says she was left 'anxious' by her decision to trade seats. 'I realised I'm flying United,' explains Leanna. 'If you know anything about United's service, if you want to buy drinks or anything, you have to put your card onto the app ahead of time, which I've done before.' This means that the passenger who swapped with Leanna would be able to access her card to pay for items. Leanna claims that she spoke to the flight attendant who confirmed that the passenger would be able to use Leanna's card to order items to the seat. She adds: 'Now, do I think this lady was trying to scam me out of money on my card? No. But that's just something to be aware of. 'I fully support you if you don't want to switch seats. You are entitled to the seat that you chose.' In the comments, TikTok user and cabin crew member 'FAWN' says: 'I always ask people their last name when they buy a drink to verify it's the saved card. 'Honestly I don't ever charge without verifying because I'm always scared I'll charge the wrong person.' And another flight attendant agrees, saying: 'Usually we ask for last names for inflight purchases'. But a user who said they worked as a United gate agent, also warned passengers not to switch seats on the plane. 'Molly' says: 'Please never switch up seats without telling the gate agents/flight attendants, for the exact reasons you said and we can get in trouble.' A flight attendant recently revealed why crew are required to carry two flashlights at all times.

Scots offered chance to relocate to remote island with stunning beaches & incredible wildlife

ISLE BE OFF Scots offered chance to relocate to remote island with stunning beaches & incredible wildlife SCOTS looking to soak in one of the most beautiful corners of the country might finally be able to do just that thanks to a rare opportunity. With white sandy beaches, turquoise waters and incredible wildlife, life on the tiny Scottish isle of Papa Westray in Orkney sounds idyllic. 1 Papa Westray Community School is advertising for a one-day-a-week school teacher Credit: Alamy And thanks to a long-standing job vacancy, it could become a reality for someone ready to adapt to island life. Papa Westray Community School is advertising for a one-day-a-week school teacher. The tiny community school has just seven pupils in one composite class of primary one to seven pupils. The school is currently supported by staff from Westray Junior High School but is hoping to fill the position permanently. Papa Westray has a population of less than 100 with the lowest population being just 54 in the 1990s. Due to its small population and remote location the teaching post has been advertised since 2019. The island is home to the world's shortest scheduled passenger flight, with the record for the 1.7-mile trip to neighbouring island of Westray being only 53 seconds. The school, which is run by Orkney Council has performed well and was praised by education watchdogs last year. Last year The National Trust of Scotland was advertising the role of Pier Manager on Canna, a tiny island off the west coast, that's home to just 15 permanent residents. The once in a lifetime "dream job" to live and work on the island would see the the successful candidate "ensure the smooth operation and maintenance of Canna Harbour, an essential facility for the Isle of Canna community." Relocate to Spectacular Scots Island The NTS, who look after the island after it was bequeathed to them in 1981, said they were looking for a person with "marine or seafaring experience, a strong health & safety ethos, and a passion for preserving Scotland's incredible places and heritage." Based on the island of Canna the Pier Manager role will be to manage the operation and maintenance of Canna Harbour.
