Sleeping Golden Retrievers Surprise Unsuspecting Fliers and It's Pure Cuteness Overload

Yahoo08-04-2025

Imagine you are in the middle of a plane ride when you discover an adorable pair of Golden Retrievers sleeping under your seat.
That was the situation that Nicholas Bruno and his wife found themselves in during their flight from Fort Myers, Florida, to Detroit, Michigan. And if you are wondering, yes, these dogs' dad allowed Nicholas and his wife to pet these lovely goldens.
Well, those two sleepy service dogs were absolutely precious! If this had been us, we would have been staring at our feet during the entire flight.
And of course, Nicholas and his wife were very sweet about these dogs resting under their seats, even though these adorable hounds were taking up some of their legroom.
Hey, losing a little bit of legroom on a flight is totally worth it if you get to pet two gorgeous Golden Retrievers like these.Pretty much everyone in this video's comments section agreed that all airlines should offer seats with dogs underneath them.
Many people remarked that they would pay extra to find two Golden Retrievers underneath their seat like this, even if it meant that they had no legroom.
Some people in the comments section also stated that they would have felt 10 times safer on this flight knowing that two precious fur babies were resting beneath them.
According to the Air Carrier Access Act (ACAA), Airlines are required to recognize dogs as service animals and accept them on flights within the United States.
When a service dog is on board the aircraft, they must be permitted to occupy the space under the seat in front of you. However, if a service dog is small enough, and it is safe to do so, they can sit on your lap during the flight.

Extreme traveler is walking more than 8,000 miles from the UK to Asia — here's the exact route he's taking

He's got one hell of a step count. Luke Deakin, an adventurous Brit with a backpack and a dream, is walking from his home in the United Kingdom to Southeast Asia, a journey of more than 8,000 miles — and he's just revealed his exact route. The globetrotting trekker has been vlogging the wild journey on Instagram and TikTok for months, walking alongside fellow Brit Sophie. The daring journey recently went viral after a clip caught fire on a popular Reddit group. 'Right now I'm walking from England to Vietnam and this is the route that I've taken so far and the route I'm going to take,' Deakin explained in the video, originally posted Feb. 28. 'On the 16th of September 2024 I started walking from Stratford-upon-Avon to France and then into Belgium, Luxembourg and Germany. I then headed into Austria, Hungary, Serbia and Bulgaria.' At the time, Deakin was hoofing it through Greece — with Turkey on deck. 3 Brit adventurer Luke Deakin is hiking 13,000km from England to Vietnam — and just dropped his full step-by-step route. @Chubbytrekka / YouTube Along the way, he's been filming everything: chats with locals, snack reviews, and run-ins with roadside cows. 'It's going to take me about two months to cross Turkey where I'll then head into Georgia, Azerbaijan and then take a ferry to Kazakhstan,' he said. 'This is where I'll face logistical nightmares going hundreds of kilometers without food and water. The long stretch of Uzbekistan crossing over into Afghanistan, Pakistan and then over India.' 'Why am I doing this? To prove that normal people can do great things and to have the adventure of a lifetime. I'll then cross into Bangladesh, Myanmar and down through Thailand. Navigating 40 degree heat and rainy season I'll then cross into Cambodia, then Vietnam from Ho Chi Minh to Hanoi where I'll finish my journey.' On June 3, Deakin posted an updated video about how he stays online during the trip. 'How I stay connected while walking from the UK to Vietnam! No SIM card hunting, no overpriced plans, just instant data anywhere in the world,' he wrote, plugging the app Saily. 'It's something I use every day on my trip!' He doubled down in the clip: 'Staying connected on my phone is important… imagine how difficult this journey would be without the internet.' 3 The globe-trotting Brit — joined by sidekick Sophie — has been documenting every wild step on Instagram and TikTok, and just blew up after a clip from his @chubbytrekka account landed on Reddit on June 4. @Chubbytrekka / YouTube His route? 'UK, France, Belgium, Luxembourg, Germany, Austria, Hungary, Serbia, Bulgaria, Greece, Turkey, Georgia, Azerbaijan, Kazakhstan, Uzbekistan, Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Bangladesh, Myanmar, Thailand, Cambodia, Vietnam.' He's already racked up 570K followers on Instagram and 236.4K on TikTok — but not everyone's a fan. On Reddit, skeptics questioned his odds. 'People spend 5-7 months walking the Appalachian Trail… this guy stands no chance,' one hater griped. 3 His path? A wild 13,000-kilometer haul through 24 countries — from the UK to Vietnam — with stops in France, Turkey, India, Cambodia and everywhere in between. @Chubbytrekka / YouTube Another shot back: 'He's already walked UK to Eastern Turkey… much further than the Appalachian Trail.' Some argued the real challenge wasn't the mileage — but the map. 'More politically challenging than physical,' one wrote. 'Walking through like 2 or 3 countries dealing with civil war or straight up war lol.' Others on Instagram cheered him on: 'Love following your journey. So f–king cool,' one fan wrote. In his June 1 YouTube update, Deakin revealed a visa dilemma: he had six days left in Turkey with 750 kilometers still to go. 'I want to overstay the visa for about two to three weeks and pay the fine,' he said. 'We're in Turkey. We've walked through 11 countries.' And they're 'in for another year on this trip.' From Stratford-upon-Avon to Southeast Asia? He's not just walking the walk — he's living the long-haul dream.

Bryson DeChambeau preps for U.S. Open with LIV D.C. event, practice on White House lawn

GAINESVILLE, Va. — As much as Bryson DeChambeau loves to practice and compete, the U.S. Open champion also appreciates the limited LIV Golf schedule that gives him time to pursue other interests. DeChambeau arrived at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club for LIV Golf Virginia after a characteristically busy few days that included a round of golf with President Donald Trump and some short-game practice on the South Lawn of the White House. Advertisement Now the big-hitting YouTube star turns his attention to the 54-hole LIV event that starts Friday at Robert Trent Jones Golf Club. He said the thick rough and fast greens at RTJ would help prepare him for Oakmont, where he will try next week to win his third U.S. Open after triumphs last year at Pinehurst No. 2 and in 2020 at Winged Foot. 'I think LIV afforded me the opportunity to spend more time thinking, strategizing, getting my body healthy, ready for majors in a pretty unique way,' DeChambeau said Wednesday. 'For me, it was a great thing. I thought there was an opportunity to do other things in life, and look, do I want to win every single tournament I show up to? 100%.' The RTJ event is the eighth of 14 tournaments this year for the globetrotting, Saudi-funded LIV Golf League. Although PGA Tour players have more freedom to set their own schedules, they typically play more often. For top-ranked Scottie Scheffler, the U.S. Open will be the fourth of five events in a seven-week stretch. DeChambeau hasn't competed since last month's PGA Championship, won by Scheffler . While DeChambeau was enjoying a friendly round with Trump and posting a YouTube short in which he hit golf balls from the top of a mountain and the Bonneville Salt Flats in Utah, Scheffler was finishing off his third win of the past month at the Memorial. Advertisement 'I've been doing some fun side quests, yes, there's no doubt,' DeChambeau said. When he does compete, nobody practices harder than DeChambeau. He hit 1,029 range balls — more than anyone else in the field — at the Masters, where he finished in a tie for fifth . The 31-year-old DeChambeau said he developed his practice habits as a teenager, when other junior golfers in California were beating him even though they didn't appear to try as hard. 'It stemmed from me not being as good as others and then realizing I can only be as good as how hard I work,' DeChambeau said. 'So I just became obsessed with hitting crazy amounts of golf balls.' Advertisement Known for trying to optimize his swing and his equipment to produce a consistent ball flight — a long, high draw — DeChambeau also spends time practicing the unusual shots he needs to finish off tournaments. 'As much as I am a robot, and try to swing it as straight as possible and just stable as possible, I still do have to hit cuts and draws and hit weird shots every once in a while,' he said. 'Giving myself those opportunities in the bunker, in the bush, whatever, has only aided in my golf career.'
