Jennifer Love Hewitt says she "haven't seen" Sarah Michelle Gellar since 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' premiered
Jennifer Love Hewitt
, who rose to fame as a teen star for her role as Julie James in the horror film 'I Know What You Did Last Summer', shared that she has not spoken to her co-star
Sarah Michelle Gellar
since the slasher debuted in 1997, reported Variety.
Despite the lack of communication, Hewitt maintains there are no difference between them.

She continued, "I haven't seen Sarah. Literally, we've not talked since I saw her at 18 years old when the first movie came out.
That's why it's so funny to me. People were like, 'Say something back' And I'm like, 'What am I going to say? I've not seen her.' On my side, we're good. I have no idea where this is coming from," according to Variety.
Hewitt and Gellar reprised their 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' roles for the 2025 reboot, which was released recently. 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' is a 2025 slasher film directed by Jennifer Kaytin Robinson, who co-wrote the screenplay with Sam Lansky from a story by Leah McKendrick and Robinson.
It is the fourth instalment in the 'I Know What You Did Last Summer' franchise and the sequel to 'I Still Know What You Did Last Summer' (1998). The film stars Madelyn Cline, Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers, Sarah Pidgeon, Billy Campbell, Gabbriette Bechtel, and Austin Nichols, with Freddie Prinze Jr. and Jennifer Love Hewitt. Sarah Michelle Gellar and Brandy from the first two films, respectively, appear in cameos.
Other cast members include Chase Sui Wonders, Jonah Hauer-King, Tyriq Withers, Sarah Pidgeon and Billy Campbell, according to Variety.

Hari Hara Veera Mallu North America Premiere Final Advance Booking: Pawan Kalyan starrer ends pre-sales with an underwhelming USD 565k
Pawan Kalyan led Hari Hara Veera Mallu, costarring Nidhhi Agerwal, Bobby Deol, Nargis Fakhri, Nora Fatehi, Sathyaraj, Vikramjeet Virk, Jisshu Sengupta, and others, is all set for a grand release worldwide on the 24th of July, 2025, with premieres from 23rd July. The final North America premieres stand at USD 565k, based on data derived by 'Venky Box Office'. The total ticket sales are roughly 20,000. These exclude USD 60k worth of tickets sold in movie chains like AMC and Regal, which have either put shows on hold or have cancelled them due to content delays. Hari Hara Veera Mallu Heads For An Under USD 1 Million Premiere Day; Final North America Presales Stand At USD 565k The premiere collections head towards USD 750k - 850k, which is underwhelming for a star of the stature of Pawan Kalyan. There is an outside chance of USD 1 million, but that's only if the shows put on hold are listed back online, and there are huge spot-bookings if the word of mouth favours. Hari Hara Veera Mallu Is Pawan Kalyan's Most Expensive Movie To Date This is Pawan Kalyan's most expensive film to date, so the stakes are higher. Not only does the film have to do well, it has to do exceedingly well, to make up for the shortfall of a slow start. If the movie does well at the box office, it will benefit the sequel, that's already in the works. Reportedly, 20 percent of the sequel is already shot. If Hari Hara Veera Mallu fails, we may most likely not have a sequel. Hari Hara Veera Mallu Will Be Followed By OG And Ustaad Bhagat Singh Powerstar fans don't have much to really worry as they are set to get a lot of Pawan Kalyan movies in the times to come. In exactly two months from the release of Hari Hara Veera Mallu, there is They Call Him OG, which is unquestionably the actor's most awaited film. After that, there is Ustaad Bhagat Singh, which will mark the return of the star in his iconic cop avatar. Stay tuned to Pinkvilla for more box office updates on Hari Hara Veera Mallu.

Pawan Kalyan Breaks Silence On Quitting Films For Politics: ‘Won't Act But…'
Pawan Kalyan, Deputy CM of Andhra Pradesh, prioritises administration over acting. He plans to finish pending films and focus on producing. Actor-turned-politician Pawan Kalyan has clarified his future in cinema following his appointment as the Deputy Chief Minister of Andhra Pradesh in June 2024. Amid ongoing criticism over juggling his administrative responsibilities with film commitments, the Jana Sena Party chief has now addressed concerns and revealed where his priorities lie. In an interview with ABN, Kalyan said that although he attempted to complete his pending films before the elections, unforeseen political developments delayed the process. 'When I signed these three films, I had planned to complete them before the elections. However, I lost crucial time before the elections due to some political incidents," he explained. 'I asked the producers of all three films to forgive me because I needed a few more days to complete the films. Even after I came into power, I took time to shoot for films and only did it for two hours a day." Kalyan is currently wrapping up work on three major films: Hari Hara Veera Mallu, They Call Him OG, and Ustaad Bhagat Singh. He confirmed that he has not taken on any new acting projects. 'I have completed shooting for OG and have around five days left to complete Ustaad Bhagat Singh. I will definitely not act anymore if I have political clashes because my priority is the administration and the Janasena Party," he stated. While distancing himself from acting, Kalyan hinted at continuing in the film industry in a different role. 'I need cinema for my financial sustenance. So, I will look to producing films in the future. Even if I do act, it will only be for two hours per day. But right now, I haven't signed any more films." Among his upcoming releases, Hari Hara Veera Mallu, in production for over five years, will hit theatres on July 24, with paid premieres on July 23. Directed by Krish and Jyothi Krisna, the historical action drama stars Bobby Deol and Nidhhi Agerwal alongside Kalyan. Meanwhile, OG is helmed by Sujeeth, and Ustaad Bhagat Singh is directed by Harish Shankar. Disclaimer: Comments reflect users' views, not News18's.
