Liverpool enter talks to sign 11-goal WONDERKID winger
Liverpool have reportedly entered talks to sign one of Europe's most-wanted wingers. The Reds have yet another signing lined up. This has been a remarkable summer at Liverpool already and we're only just getting started. Four deals have been completed thus far, with Trent Alexander-Arnold and Caoimhin Kelleher leaving to be replaced by Jeremie Frimpong and Armin Pecsi. Florian Wirtz is set for his medical on Friday and it sounds as though that one is pretty much sealed. Talks for Milos Kerkez will accelerate this week - he may well sort his transfer to Liverpool before the week is out. And this is all with Giorgi Mamardashvili joining up with the squad for the first time after completing his transfer a year ago. And there's now even more! Liverpool have entered talks with one of the most exciting prospects in Europe. Liverpool in Malick Fofana talks L'Équipe reports that Liverpool are a 'strong contender' for Malick Fofana. They're far from the only club interested in the Belgian but it's made clear here that they've pushed forward in talks. Advertisement More specifically, they're in discussions with Roc Nation, the agency that represents Fofana. Liverpool will see how those talks go before potentially pursuing a deal with Lyon. Fofana only joined Lyon from Gent in January 2024 but he's quickly established himself as one of the most promising young wingers in Europe. 11 goals in all competitions last season showcased the 20-year-old, with six of those coming in the UEFA Europa League.

Liverpool fixture dates vs Man City and Arsenal ahead of fresh title challenge for Arne Slot
Liverpool won the 2024/25 Premier League title by a 10-point margin, obliterating all its main rivals along the way. But a double-digit gap at the top of the table is the exception rather than the rule, and the biggest final lead in four years. As Liverpool's titanic battles with Manchester City over recent years show, taking points off your main rivals is key to securing first place. Advertisement It's why Liverpool fans will be intrigued to learn when it faces its closest competitors next season. While Chelsea, Newcastle United or even Tottenham Hotspur (under new management) could pose a shock title tilt, it's primarily Arsenal and City that will concern Arne Slot. But with four signings confirmed before the Club World Cup, and more expected during the course of the summer, Pep Guardiola's side could return invigorated for a fresh battle next season. Advertisement Liverpool will have to wait until November for a first meeting with City next term, by which stage it will know whether the Blues are a main challenger. The clash at the Etihad comes on November 8, when Liverpool will be hoping for a repeat of the 2-0 win in February. The return fixture comes on February 7 at Anfield, a stadium where Guardiola has never won as a Premier League manager in front of fans. Liverpool earned a first win at the Etihad in nearly a decade when it last played City. As for Arsenal, many are expecting the Gunners to return with another push for the title. The London club has finished second in each of the last three seasons, but going one better in 2025/26 will prove to be a daunting challenge. Advertisement Like City, Arsenal's standards dropped this season, resulting in a 15-point downturn on the previous year's points haul. Liverpool drew both meetings with Mikel Arteta's side this campaign and Slot will hope to earn a first win in the opening month of the season.
