Yahoo13 hours ago

Queen Letizia of Spain embraced a classic silhouette with contemporary flair for her latest royal outing on Monday in Montserrat, Spain. The royal couple attended a ceremony to commemorate the 1,000th anniversary of the foundation of the Monastery of Montserrat alongside their 21-year-old marriage, King Felipe VI.
For the summertime outing, Queen Letizia opted for a sleeveless denim dress courtesy of Carolina Herrera, a designer the Spanish royal regularly wears. The fit-and-flare midi dress is crafted from cotton denim and accented with vertical seams and contrasting stitching.

Elements of the Carolina Herrera-designed dress included a round neckline, side pockets and a belted waist with buckle lined in the same fabric. The belt detail gave the dress added definition to the silhouette, creating a form-fitting look and feel with classic elements married to a contemporary edge.
For the finishing touches to her look, Queen Letizia added a pair of patent leather red shoes with a slight heel and buckle details. She also wore a pair of delicate earrings with green colorways. Her glam included bold brows and lined eyes, with her hair styled with a side part.
Carolina Herrera is a prominent designer in Queen Letizia's royal wardrobe. The Spanish royal recently wore another look by the Venezuelan American fashion designer on Friday for the celebration of the 2024-2025 academic year of the College of Europe in Bruges, Belgium. The elegant blue midi dress was paired with heels courtesy of Spanish brand Magrit.
Rewears, a popular trend among royals, are also a staple of Queen Letizia's wardrobe, with Carolina Herrera designs among the Spanish royal's go-to pieces. In December 2024, Queen Letizia re-wore the designer's Poppy Print Knit Skirt in black, pairing it with a red blouse and black boots.
The summer 2024 season also saw several Carolina Herrera designs worn by Queen Letizia. The Spanish royal wore a floral shirtdress from the designer's CH Carolina Herrera label and a red midi dress for the 2024 Union of European Football Associations Championship Euro match, both occasions in July 2024.

Underrated Canceled TV Shows

For every show that feels like it majorly overstayed its welcome, cough — Grey's Anatomy — there always seems to be another show that studios prematurely axe at exactly the same time. Hundreds of television shows fail to catch the attention of general audiences year after year and ultimately get cancelled after a slew of poor ratings and lack of fanfare. However, some of these shows are genuine hidden treasures and don't deserve to be buried by the algorithms of popular streamers. In our current cultural landscape that is so obsessed with nostalgia and reboots, I've ranked 10 shows that I believe deserve their turn on Hollywood's reboot ride. Some you probably haven't heard of (or, more likely, watched) some of them. However, I highly recommend taking a day to binge. House of Anubis (2011 to 2013) Many Gen Z'ers will understand why this show is on the list, but for those who don't, just know that House of Anubis was Nickelodeon's best venture into the mystery genre. Some would argue it's Are You Afraid of the Dark? or that one scary episode of SpongeBob SquarePants where he gets stranded in that town and can't leave, but it's really this show. The perfect blend of mystery, British accents, and impeccable uniforms. It is a must-watch and due for a reboot! High Fidelity (2020) A reboot within a reboot — what's not to love? High Fidelity is the 2020 reboot of John Cusack's 2000 film of the same name, and it was the best TV show I watched that year, and I watched a lot during lockdown. It also has a Black female lead, played by Zoë Kravitz, who gave an absolutely amazing performance. So, to me, I think Hulu TV execs need to give it a second, I mean third, chance! Fear Itself (2008) A victim of underwhelming ratings that deserved better. Fear Itself is a masterful anthology horror series that had some really unique episodes and deserved to have multiple seasons. It didn't even get to air all of its episodes that summer on NBC. I'd give an arm and a leg for this one to come back from the dead. Harper's Island (2009) Another underrated gem that CBS canceled. The greatest whodunnit television series of all time, and there was definitely some plot left to continue the show for at least two more seasons. We, the fans, were robbed, and we want our show back! 1899 (2022) From the creators of the groundbreaking, jaw-dropping thriller, Dark, there's another mind-bending, altogether bonkers show whose time was cut too short. It's a good sci-fi with an international cast and should have been given more room to breathe. I Am Not Okay With This (2020) It ended with a frustrating cliffhanger, and fans never got an answer, so yeah, this one needs to be uncanceled immediately. And while I know they're older and grown adults adults, I want the OG cast! Rome (2005-2007) Great show. High production costs. So, of course, it ended up canceled instead of landing on lists like Game of Thrones and Breaking Bad. But Rome absolutely deserves to be in that tier, if not above it. HBO needs to cease with the GOT spinoffs and bring back this historical masterpiece. The Wilds (2020) A feminine take on Lord of the Flies and an even better (dare I say) version of Yellowjackets. Of course, it only had one season; if it kept going, it would have been too powerful. But jokes aside, this show was good and the actors equally as much — a fun watch and would make for a great multi-season show. Generation (2021) A funny, teen show that, in my opinion, had the best depiction of the average Gen Z'er. It didn't last long, but my memories of laughing out loud from this show did. Just absolute fun, and that's what we all need now more than ever. Let's hope HBO Max is listening... And Grand Army (2020) The greatest teen drama show of the past decade. Grand Army may have lacked high ratings, but it made up for it with its rich, authentic storytelling. A very diverse cast, all of whom deserved better, and frankly so did the show's marketing. Which recently canceled show would you dig back up from the grave? Share all your thoughts in the comments!

Somni Just Became Los Angeles's First Three-Michelin-Star Restaurant

Just six months after Aitor Zabala resurrected his ambitious Spanish tasting menu restaurant, Somni, in West Hollywood, it has become Los Angeles's first three-Michelin-starred restaurant. The previous iteration of the restaurant inside the SLS Beverly Hills, which earned two Michelin stars, closed in August 2020 amid the pandemic. This is the first time a restaurant in Los Angeles has been awarded three stars since the guide arrived to the city in 2008. Somni's three-star designation was revealed in a video posted to the Michelin Guide's YouTube channel in advance of the 2025 ceremony on June 25 in Sacramento. The video quickly circulated on Reddit, but is now marked as unlisted. A Michelin Guide representative confirmed the Somni three-star designation to Eater. Zabala's impressive resume includes restaurants like Alkimia, Abac, El Bullí, Akelarre, and numerous José Andrés restaurants. He opened the first version of Somni, which means 'dream' in Catalan, in 2018 as a 25-course tasting menu with 10 seats at a blonde wood curved counter. (The first version of the restaurant was opened with Andres as a partner, though he is no longer involved.) 'Somni is our American dream — our opportunity to add to the legacy and culture of Los Angeles,' he told Eater in 2018. But just two years later, the restaurant closed when its contract, along with the Bazaar's, was terminated with the SLS Beverly Hills. After years of anticipation, Zabala debuted the current iteration of Somni in West Hollywood in November 2024. The restaurant is a fully realized version of the dream he had in 2018, encompassing multiple spaces that include a tree-lined courtyard and an auditorium-like dining room. Somni seats 14 diners across two curved counters, set in a high-ceilinged dining room. Zabala and chef de cuisine Ismael Parra, along with a team of cooks, assemble intricate dishes as guests look on, like a Parmesan feather and a dashi meringue crowned with caviar. An evening here is as much of a meal as it is an exhibition of Zabala's work as an artist and chef, weaving Spanish influences and California sensibilities. Somni's recognition as the first three-Michelin-starred restaurant in Los Angeles is a significant milestone for the city. Before the 2025 ceremony, Los Angeles restaurants had only ever been awarded two stars. Undoubtedly, Zabala has ushered in a new era of Michelin-caliber dining in Los Angeles — and in California. In a complete rebirth, former two-Michelin-star restaurant Somni has opened in a new West Hollywood location under chef Aitor Zabala. Somni occupies a cloistered set of buildings just north of Santa Monica Boulevard serving precise Spanish-inflected modernist tasting menus to a rounded duet of countertops. The high-ceiling space acts as a theater of sorts to Zabala's kitchen crew, assembling dashi meringue fish topped with Astrea caviar or escabeche mussels dressed with borage flowers. Expect every flavorful turn to be delightful, especially for the sky-high $495 price that will inevitably feel justified after experiencing perhaps the most innovative meal in Los Angeles. — Matthew Kang, lead editor, Eater Southern California/Southwest See More:

Can Brad Pitt's ‘F1' Movie Finally Deliver Apple a Big-Screen Hit?

When the team behind this week's Brad Pitt movie 'F1' first pitched their idea around Hollywood, nearly every major entertainment company wanted in and a bidding war quickly erupted. Then Apple AAPL 0.63%increase; green up pointing triangle bigfooted them all. The tech giant agreed to spend nearly $250 million, more than any other studio thought the drama about an aging driver's last shot at glory was worth, said people with knowledge of the matter. Pitt was paid more than the $20 million standard for A-list movie stars and will get a cut of the film's revenue if it's a hit.
