There's an unspoken rule in many pet-owning households: the pet runs the house. They choose when to eat, where to sleep, and apparently, who's allowed to sit next to whom on the couch. In a recent Instagram video, a dog made it very clear to her owners that seating arrangements are not up for negotiation, especially when it comes to her favorite parent.
Shmoo, a rescue Pit Bull, isn't afraid to express her feelings. In a viral video posted by her owners, she throws what can only be described as a tantrum. Normally, Shmoo enjoys sitting cozily between her mom and dad. But in this particular moment, both parents chose to sit on the same side, leaving Shmoo alone on the opposite end. Her face says it all — ears back, eyes full of betrayal. The disappointment is real.
In an effort to make it right, her dad stands up and offers her his spot so that the dog can sit next to his favourite parent. However, the pup is not impressed. Instead of moving over, she begins to whimper, turning her head away and expressing her disapproval loud and clear. It's as if she needed to make sure her dad understood just how wrong he was for sitting next to mom. Eventually, in a show of defeat, the dad leaves the room so balance — and Shmoo's preferred arrangement — can be restored.
The video is captioned with a playful jab: 'Why would a man be there? *no dads were hurt in the making of this video.' Not surprisingly, the comments section quickly filled with laughter and support for the moody pup. One person wrote, 'The way she's looking at you like 'how very dare you,'' while another joked, 'Shmoo! You are communicating SO CLEARLY and Dad is just not getting it!' Others chimed in with their own relatable stories. 'I thought my baby pittie was the only one who did this,' one said. Another called dad 'the spare human,' adding, 'He got above his station.'

SAO PAULO (AP) — Khaby Lame, the world's most-followed TikTok personality who left the U.S. after being detained by immigration agents, went to Brazil where he's been spending some time with friends, local authorities said Thursday. Lame is staying with AC Milan player Emerson Royal, and has been enjoying time with local fans, Paulo Eduardo Dias Junior, a city councilman from Americana, about 78 miles (125 kilometers) northwest of Sao Paulo, told The Associated Press. On Wednesday night, they played a friendly soccer match with locals. Lame left the United States after being detained on June 6 by immigration agents at Harry Reid International Airport in Las Vegas for allegedly overstaying his visa. The Senegalese-Italian influencer, whose legal name is Seringe Khabane Lame, was allowed to leave the country without a deportation order, according to a statement from U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement. Junior organized Wednesday's match on behalf of the nonprofit he leads, Instituto Jr Dias. He said that Lame and Royal's participation helped collect 150 food baskets for vulnerable families. 'Emerson Royal is a role model for the children in our community, and so is Khaby, who is globally known through social media. He's a sensation among kids today,' Junior said.
