What are Texas A&M's odds to win the 2025 College Football National Championship?
As the 2025 campaign looms closer, the Texas A&M football program ranks 13th in the country on the best betting odds to win this year's college football national championship.
According to BetMGM, the Aggies are currently tied with Tennessee and Miami (FL) with +3000 odds to win it all this year. Ohio State and Texas sit in first with +5000 odds to claim the title in 2025, while Georgia (+650), Oregon (+750) and Penn State (+800) round out the top five.
The question remains: What will Texas A&M bring to the table this year? Is the talent on the roster heading into this season enough to claim the national championship for the first time since 1939?
Texas A&M head coach Mike Elko's roster features the likes of sophomore quarterback Marcel Reed, who is primed to be one of the most dangerous signal-callers in the SEC this season. Reed made an incredible first impression at the helm by racking up 1,209 passing yards, 259 rushing yards and 11 total touchdowns in five games for the Aggies.
His shiftiness and breakout speed are two of his most admirable attributes. Reed showcased his skills on the biggest stage when Texas A&M faced off against the USC Trojans in the SRS Distribution Las Vegas Bowl last season. When his name was called upon to start for the Aggies, he made sure that everyone remembered his name.
Texas A&M also has a deep running back room in Le'Veon Moss, Amari Daniels, Rueben Owens, and E.J. Smith, who rank as a top-five running back unit this season according to Pro Football Focus. Before Moss suffered an injury in 2024, he averaged 4.4 yards after contact per attempt, which ranked sixth among all Power Four backs.
The roster this season has a plethora of talented athletes who could lead the Aggies to the apex of college football. Only time will tell if the program's aspirations will become a reality.

Advertisement Unfortunately, the Pacers stole Game 1 in Oklahoma City, winning 111-110 on Tyrese Haliburton's game-winning shot with 0.3 seconds left, which meant the Thunder needed to win the next four games in a row to cash the ticket. Oklahoma City rebounded with a 123-107 win in Game 2 before losing Game 3 on Wednesday night 116-107 in Indianapolis. Game 4 is on Friday night, with the Thunder favored by 5.5 points with a game total of 225.5 at BetMGM. The Thunder are still -235 favorites to win the finals at BetMGM, despite being down 2-1 in the series.

A byproduct of that is that he gets a chance to reconnect with a couple of other former Buckeyes that he played with in Columbus. We've already heard from receiver Garrett Wilson on his excitement to play with the former Heisman Finalist and first-round NFL draft pick, but the electric receiver isn't the only former OSU player donning a Jets uniform. Former tight end Jeremy Ruckert, who played for Ohio State from 2018 to 2021, got to block for and catch passes from Fields on the banks of the Olentangy for two years. So yeah, he too has some history with the guy the Jets' brass hopes turns around the fortunes of the J-E-T-S, Jets, Jets, Jets. Ruckert was asked by the New York media what it means to be playing with his college teammate again, and was excited more for the team than himself. "Any time you get a chance to reconnect with one of your teammates, whether it's in the League or college, it's great,: Ruckert told reporters. "I'm excited where we're going as a team and the culture we're setting, and I think he's (Fields) perfect for that role, and just these last couple of weeks to get back on the same page and get our timing right with all the guys. It's been special to be a part of that, but also kind of get the other guys rolling and continue to grow as a unit." If you are an Ohio State fan, there aren't too many storylines that jump out more than what Fields does in New York. If he can use his athletic gifts the right way and still find a way to stay poised and present in the pocket, we could see a budding star coming to light just a little later than we thought. Jones or Nate McCollum, expect to see Shipp earn starting minutes in 2025. Joining Shipp in the wideout room are Michigan State transfer Aziah Johnson, Colorado transfer Adrian Wilson and Washington transfer Jason Robinson Jr., while the likes of Javarius Green, Chris Culliver and Paul Billups are 2024 holdovers.
