Arab Finance: The General Authority of the Suez Canal Economic Zone (SCZone) has launched its first roadshow for fiscal year (FY) 2025/2026 in China to promote opportunities and attract Chinese investments in Egypt, according to a statement.
The authority mainly aims to draw in investments in the fields of textiles, ready-made garments, automotive, ports, and logistics services.
During his tour, Waleid Gamal El-Dien, the Chairman of the SCZone, discussed Hong Kong-based Crystal International's plans to establish a textile factory on an area of 1.5 million square meters in the Qantara West zone, with expected investments ranging between $250 and $300 million.
The project is expected to offer job opportunities for 30,000-35,000 people.
The Chairman also inspected the Shenzhen Qianhai Exhibition Hall, hosted by the Qianhai Authority, to review the development projects in the Qianhai Special Economic Zone, which include industrial, logistics, and port-related activities.
He also visited the Yantian International Container Terminals, which is managed by the global operator Hutchison, the same operator of the Sokhna Port Container Terminal.
The terminal boasts a 1,200-meter quay length and a yard area of 720,000 square meters, with an investment cost of $250 million. It is expected to open soon.
The first day of the SCZone delegation's tour of Shenzhen concluded with a visit to BYD's headquarters, where they learned about the company's leading products in the electric vehicle (EV) industry.
BYD also specializes in the manufacture of electric car batteries, storage batteries, and solar panels.
Moreover, Gamal El-Dien met with the company's officials to discuss its presence in the SCZone as a gateway to reach African and Middle Eastern markets.
He emphasized that the company's investment in the zone will strengthen the establishment of a major industrial base, including the manufacture of EVs, electric car batteries, and solar panels.

Egypt: Midar partners with Adeer to develop Boulevard project in Mostakbal City with $1.43bln investment

Egypt - Midar for Investment and Urban Development, the master developer of Mostakbal City and MADA City in East Cairo, has announced the signing of a strategic revenue-sharing agreement with Adeer International, a subsidiary of Saudi-based Sumou Holding. The partnership will see the development of an integrated mixed-use urban project spanning over half a million square metres in Mostakbal City, with total investments exceeding EGP 70bn. Ayman ElKousey, CEO and Managing Director of Midar, highlighted the company's commitment to partnering with leading investors and developers who have proven track records in local and regional markets. He noted that Midar's cities—Mostakbal City and MADA—continue to position themselves as top investment destinations in New Cairo, attracting dozens of major investors over recent years thanks to their unique offering focused on sustainability, luxury, and smart infrastructure management. ElKousey added that the agreement reflects Sumou Holding's confidence in Midar's vision and projects. It comes as part of a broader investment alliance launched earlier this year, which brought together Midar, Sumou Investment, Adeer International, and Hassan Allam Properties to develop luxury hospitality and entertainment projects across premium Nile-front locations and within Midar's cities, with total investments of $2bn as announced in the memorandum of understanding signed at the start of the year. He also noted that unveiling the new project during a meeting between the leadership of Sumou Holding Group and Midar, alongside Egypt's Prime Minister Mostafa Madbouly, demonstrates the high level of official attention the project is receiving, as well as the extensive government coordination aimed at ensuring the successful completion of all its phases. ElKousey stressed that the meeting reflected the Egyptian state's commitment to supporting serious investments and overcoming any challenges that might slow progress in key projects. Commenting on the announcement, Bassel El Serafy, CEO of Adeer International, said: 'Our partnership with Midar is built on a shared strategic vision and deep mutual trust in Egypt's real estate and investment potential. Boulevard is not just a flagship development; it represents a long-term ambition to redefine modern living in Egypt through fully integrated, sustainable, and smart urban planning.' El Serafy also announced the establishment of a new joint venture between Adeer International and Paragon Developments to lead the Boulevard project. This step forms part of Sumou Holding's wider strategy—executed through Sumou International Investment—to foster impactful Egyptian-Saudi partnerships, transfer expertise, and deliver flexible, future-ready urban models aligned with the sustainable development goals of both countries. © 2025 Daily News Egypt. Egypt: DOJA Developments launches Galini project in North Coast

Egypt - DOJA Developments has announced the launch of its latest project, Galini, located in the Sidi Abdel Rahman area on Egypt's North Coast. The mixed-use residential, touristic, and hotel resort is set to receive total investments of EGP 1.5bn. Mahmoud Adel, Chairperson of DOJA Developments, highlighted that the project's strategic location supports year-round occupancy and strengthens its appeal as a promising real estate and tourism investment. This aligns with the state's broader vision to transform the North Coast into a year-round destination, rather than being active only during the summer months. Adel noted that Galini enjoys a prime location—approximately 15 minutes from New Alamein City and around two hours from Cairo. The development will include 160 serviced residential units designed to offer the highest standards of luxury and comfort, alongside a hotel comprising 110 rooms. He added that the company has introduced flexible payment plans tailored to meet the needs of different customer segments. Galini will also offer a full suite of hotel and entertainment amenities, including full room service, a modern gym, underground parking, an indoor restaurant, an outdoor café, a poolside bar, a dedicated children's play area, and a commercial zone featuring a range of restaurants and retail outlets. Adel also announced a partnership with FM Plus, a subsidiary of Concrete Plus, to oversee the project's operations and maintenance. Leveraging its deep expertise in facilities management, FM Plus will play a key role in safeguarding the project's investment value and maintaining the highest service quality standards. In addition, DOJA Developments has partnered with Azal Hotels & Resorts, a subsidiary of the Garrana Group, to manage and operate the hotel component of Galini. This collaboration aims to deliver a hospitality experience that meets top international standards. The company is offering competitive payment options, starting with a 10% down payment and instalments over eight years, coupled with prices described as among the most attractive in the North Coast market. Adel concluded by noting that the land for the project has been fully paid for and that Galini will be entirely self-financed, drawing on DOJA Developments' established track record in the market. The project's smartly designed units, featuring compact layouts, are aimed at buyers seeking affordable and flexible ownership opportunities on the North Coast.
