PSG star 'tempted' by Man Utd transfer as Ruben Amorim considers major change

Manchester United no longer has the pull it once had but a PSG star is nonetheless willing to leave the Champions League winners to join the Premier League strugglers. United endured a miserable 2025-26 campaign under Erik ten Hag and his successor Ruben Amorim, finishing just 15th in the Premier League table, some 24 points outside the Champions League places. The Red Devils fared better in Europe but losing to Tottenham in the Europa League final means Manchester United will not be involved in any European competition next season. Paris Saint-Germain, in contrast, enjoyed a stunning 12 months, winning their first ever Champions League trophy and a domestic double under Luis Enrique. One of the key members of Enrique's squad, despite the abundance of attacking talent in Paris, was Italian goalkeeper Gianluigi Donnarumma. The 26-year-old European Championship winner produced a string of superb saves in PSG's Champions League knockout wins over Liverpool, Aston Villa and Arsenal. Given Donnarumma's influence in the French capital, it is a surprise that he has entered the final 12 months of his contract with PSG and yet to put pen to paper on a new deal. L'Equipe say contract talks began 'several months ago' but a positive outcome is still yet to be reached, with Donnarumma's camp said to be disappointed by the terms offered in earlier offers. The French outlet say a number of clubs are monitoring Donnarumma's situation, with Manchester United and Manchester City showing interest in bringing the shot-stopper to the Premier League. It is claimed Donnarumma is 'tempted' by switches to both clubs and has even discussed a move to the Premier League with some of his international teammates. United's interest in Donnarumma suggests Amorim is considering replacing current Old Trafford No. 1 Andre Onana, who endured an inconsistent season in Manchester. Onana featured in a Champions League final shortly before his £47m move from Inter Milan but has largely struggled at Manchester United. Man City, meanwhile, are looking for a long-term replacement for Ederson, who has spent almost a decade at the Etihad Stadium, lifting six league title. The 31-year-old Brazilian has been one of the best goalkeepers in the worldsince joining Manchester City but appears to be on the decline approaching his 32nd birthday. Asked about his future at PSG after lifting the Champions League trophy, Donnarumma said: 'I don't know yet what's going to happen. 'I haven't decided anything. For the moment, I want to focus on the matches with the national team, and nothing else. 'I will discuss the situation at the club in the coming days with the management and my staff. For now, it's still too early.' More Trending Donnarumma is not the only PSG player being linked with Manchester United. His teammate Goncalo Ramos has reportedly been offered to Sir Jim Ratcliffe. Amorim is desperate to sign a new striker this summer and Portugal international Ramos would be a cheaper alternative to Viktor Gyokeres and Benjamin Sesko. Ramos, 23, scored 18 goals for PSG last season and has nine goals in 15 games for Portugal. Manchester United considered a move for Ramos before his move to PSG in 2023 and Bruno Fernandes was at the time full of praise for his compatriot. For more stories like this, check our sport page. Man Utd and Spurs turn attention to Arsenal-linked Roma centre-back

Manchester United and Tottenham are both interested in Roma centre-back Evan Ndicka, who has already caught the attention of Arsenal, according to reports. The 25-year-old defender has long been linked with a move to the Premier League, even before he joined Roma from Eintracht Frankfurt in 2023. The Ivory Coast international instead moved to the Italian capital on a free transfer, signing a five-year contract. Since then he has become a key figure in the Roma starting XI, making 85 appearances in just two seasons, scoring once. Ndicka was named in the Bundesliga Team of the Season in his final year with Frankfurt and in the Serie A Team of the Season this season with Roma. As Roma finished fifth in Serie A and had to settle for a return to the Europa League, the towering central defender continues to be linked with a move. Arsenal were linked with a move earlier this year, but were reportedly informed that Roma had no intention of letting Ndicka leave. That has not quelled speculation and reports from France – where Ndicka was born – have linked Manchester United and Tottenham with possible bids this summer. The report from RMC Sport, via French Football Weekly, states that Ndicka is valued at as little as €40m (£33.7m). However, that seems improbably low given the likes of Paris Saint-Germain and Newcastle United have also been touted as interested parties. If Roma were to sanction a move then there would likely be a bidding way and Ndicka would have his pick of a string of huge clubs. In a recent interview with L'Equipe, the Ivorian refused to be drawn on rumours surrounding his future and insisted he remained fully committed to Roma. 'I'm not pretending that I don't see the rumours,' Ndicka told the French publication last month. But I have respect in Rome and I respect them 'I have three years remaining on my contract, we will see what happens later.' Manchester United are expected to have an extremely busy transfer window, both in terms of incomings and outgoings. More Trending Central defence is not their top priority, with both signings and sales in attack top of the to-do list. Their transfer budget and pull in the market was hampered badly by their defeat to Tottenham in the Europa League final, which saw Spurs grab the spot in the Champions League for the forthcoming season. Spurs are now expected to invest heavily, but first they must appoint a new manager after the sacking of Ange Postecoglou. Brentford boss Thomas Frank is expected to be hired as the Australian's replacement. Portugal vs Spain TV channel and live stream: How to watch Nations League final

Arch-rivals Portugal take on Spain tonight in the final of the UEFA Nations League. The eagerly awaited showdown sees one of the greatest of all-time Cristiano Ronaldo up against the heir to Lionel Messi's crown, Lamine Yamal. Ronaldo's Portugal won the inaugural Nations League in 2019 and the Manchester United legend scored the winner in the semi-final comeback victory against Germany. Spain are looking to secure back-to-back titles to go alongside their Euro 2024 victory and booked their place in the final by beating France in a 5-4 thriller. While only UEFA's secondary competition, it gives us a good indication of who the favourites will be for next summer's World Cup and the final promises to be an action-packed affair. Here's everything you need to know about the 2025 Nations League final, including how to watch on a TV channel, team news and match odds: The 2025 Nations League final is being held at the Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany, which was also the venue for PSG's Champions League final victory last month. The match will kick-off tonight at 8pm UK time. In the UK, ITV1 will be broadcasting the final with their coverage beginning at 7.30pm. You can also stream the action live on ITVX. If the scores are level after 90 minutes, the final will go to extra-time. If no one can find a winner after the additional 30 minutes, a penalty shootout will decide the Nations League champions. One change Portugal could make from the semi-final win would be to bring Vitinha, who excelled in the Champions League final, back into midfield alongside Man Utd captain Bruno Fernandes. More Trending That would push Manchester City's Bernardo Silva into the forward line alongside Ronaldo and Chelsea winger Pedro Neto. Spain boss Luis de la Fuente suggested he would make no changes to his side for the final despite nearly blowing a 4-0 lead against France. Spain – 1/2 Portugal – 8/5 Odds courtesy of Betfair Among the familiar faces likely to start are Tottenham and Chelsea full-backs Pedro Porro and Marc Cucurella, and Arsenal midfielder Mikel Merino.
