Disney unveils spectacular plans... including a brand new US theme park
Disney fans will be overjoyed to learn that Walt Disney World may be introducing a whole new kingdom.
A fifth sprawling theme park is reportedly in the works, according to a new Comprehensive Plan 2045 from the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District.
The plans detail a reserved development capacity for a 'major theme park' and two 'minor theme parks' to be built over the next few decades.
The new park at the Orlando resort could be expansive - mirroring the scale of other popular parks such as Magic Kingdom, Epcot, Disney's Hollywood Studios, and Disney's Animal Kingdom.
The documents allotted 400 to 500 acres for the new park which would be Disney's first all-new gate in over 25 years.
It is thought that the two smaller parks will be water parks, spanning an estimated 147 acres each.
Disney fans have been eager for a new attraction since the last grand opening was Animal Kingdom way back in 1998.
Walt Disney World has not officially confirmed a fifth Florida theme park - but DailyMail.com has reached out for comment.
In a map of the proposal, shared in the Central Florida Tourism Oversight District report, land has been earmarked for various uses.
Among them was commercial, conservation, entertainment and hotels.
The plan also revealed that the park has requested permission to build underground communication lines and facilities - known to be used by cast members to move around the parks.
This latest venture comes after Disney World fans threatened to boycott the theme park after it unveiled the first major details on its upcoming Cars land.
The Happiest Place on Earth announced last year that it would be getting rid of Tom Sawyer Island in Magic Kingdom's Frontierland to make way for a new Lightning McQueen-themed area.
It has since revealed when it will officially be shut down - and the news has left hoards of Disney fans across the globe outraged.
Tom Sawyer Island, as well as the Liberty Square Riverboat ride, will have its final day of operation on July 6, 2025.
That means guests only have a little more than a month left to enjoy the serene island inspired by the stories of Mark Twain.
Immediately, Disney park-goers took to X, formerly Twitter, to share their heartbreak over the announcement, and some even admitted that they no longer wanted to visit the park.
'Canceling my trip in October and sadly, will never visit that park again,' one user announced.
'This is an abomination and a real disservice to all those who booked summer trips hoping to enjoy all this one more time,' added another. 'Talk about timing. Thankful we enjoyed it recently.'
'Never going back,' someone else wrote. 'I have a lot of happy memories there, and I'll keep them.'
'Huge mistake. Huge,' a fourth tweet read, while a fifth said, 'Largest downgrade.'

The young woman, who said she was ''not rich but not poor'', had clearly gone out with the eye-catching interior. The overall theme in the property appeared to be silver and black, with bedazzled vases, a few glittery Chanel placemats on a pristine clean dining table and more. The open living room area also consisted of a huge L-shaped sofa that was covered with half a dozen black cushions with silver elements, as well as grey artwork on the white walls. As Mia slowly made his way to the second part of the room, she showed the 2.2million viewers her epic Chanel-themed lamp, with a bedazzled clock in the background. Review, The Bear, Disney+ returns to the original recipe
*** AFTER the blood, sweat, tears, burns and shouting - lots of shouting - the review is in. What review you ask? How quickly they forget. Season three of The Bear, the Disney+ tale of a Chicago restaurant desperate for a Michelin star, was taken up with waiting for a make-or-break review. Sounds dull, was dull. The new 10-part series, which dropped today, opens with said review. As expected, it's a mixed bag, at once praising the restaurant's ambition while slating it for chaos and inconsistency. Sounds about right, both for restaurant and series. The Bear's creator, Christopher Storer, had a choice here: to double down on the misery and introspection, or strike out for pastures new. That he opens with a clip from Groundhog Day is a detectable-from-space clue to where he is heading. As is culinary wonderboy Carmy (Jeremy Allen White) breaking into a smile, and something approaching a chuckle. The Bear gets happy - I kid you not. That's the good news. The bad is the restaurant is bleeding money and will be forced to close in months if the team can't land that Michelin star. Finally, a cause that everyone can rally around. Front of house manager Richie (Ebon Moss-Bachrach), still the show's best character and its secret sauce, can forget his ex is getting married and his daughter has a new daddy. Sydney (Ayo Edebiri) can seize the day and sign the partnership agreement. Carm can start helping people again instead of screaming at them. There is so much motivation going on, I half expected the theme tune from Rocky to strike up and the staff to run out en masse to climb the nearest steps. Wrong city, but everybody loves a comeback tale, right? Whether the hardcore fans of The Bear will feel the same I'm not sure. Can a show built on the unhappiness of its characters change so much and have the same appeal? Storer gives viewers no time to ponder. All that good stuff of old comes to the table - breakneck editing, pumping music, a sense of the team against the world, everybody yelling 'Doors' as the restaurant opens, and of course calling each other chef. There's a new character, the maitre d from Olivia Colman's old joint, who looks promising. There's even an attempt at some comedy, though so far that's still a work in progress. While it is fun getting back to The Bear basics, the show will stand or fall on its main characters, led by Carmy. In the last series, however, he was the weakest of the bunch, and you do wonder how much he has left to say. Others can take up the slack, starting with Jamie Lee Curtis as Carm's mommie dearest, Richie and Carm's sister Sugar (Abby Elliott). They will have to. Whatever its more passionate defenders thought, The Bear did not change television in the way, say, The Sopranos did. It was always soapier than it seemed, and it's no bad thing to go back there.
