For the most part, it will be hosted by three different countries: Spain Portugal and Morocco, with the stretch across two continents making it the first of its kind.
And last year, the latter nation announced plans to build a stunning 115,000-capacity stadium ready for sports' biggest event, known as the Grand Stade Hassan II.
The stadium will feature 32 stairways, botanical gardens and a 100-hectare sports and leisure district.
Work on the project is already underway in the Benslimane province just east of Casablanca, with the build possibly being completed as soon as 2027 - ahead of initial 2028 estimates.
However, Spanish publication Marca have suggested the bespoke stadium will not host the final.
Instead, the report claims that honour will fall to Madrid 's Bernabeu stadium, which comparatively holds 85,000 fans.
But an agreement has reportedly been reached between Fifa and Real Madrid over its use for the final.
It's claimed Fifa have never hidden its desire to place the final of the World Cup at the Bernabeu stadium.
Morocco will be the first-ever Northern African nation to host the World Cup, and were the first African nation to reach the semi-finals in Qatar in 2022.
An estimated £400million is set to be spent on building the state-of-the-art Grand Stade Hassan II and improving the surrounding infrastructure.
Each end has been crafted into a bowl shape to maximise the fan experience through the sights and sounds.
Five tiers of hospitality are also being built into the stadium to host the rich and famous.
Up to 12,000 ultra-luxurious boxes will be available to VIPs as well as a custom "royal box" for special guests.
Outside of the ground, the bizarre yet unforgettable style of the stadium is set to provide a unique fan experience.
The inspiration comes from traditional Moroccan "Moussem tents", say designers, Populous.
Concept pictures of the Grande Stade Hassan II show the structure is being made of giant aluminium sheets which appear to be slightly see through to allow for natural light.
The tented roof also covers "an oasis of greenery" which is being added to the area and built into the stadium.
Additional basketball and football pitches will also be available for fans inside the ground, according to previously released images.

Hampton has now explained how she turned the tables after noticing Coll's water bottle had been left unattended. Speaking to talkSPORT, Hampton said: 'The Spanish keeper had it (the penalty information) on her bottle, so I thought when she was going in goal, I'd just pick it up and chuck it into the English fans so she can't have it. 'I don't ever put it on a bottle because anyone can do that so I put it on my arm.' An incredulous Sam Matterface replied: Picked up her bottle and threw it?' And Hampton replied: 'Yeah, it wasn't hard. When she's gone in the goal, it's on its own isn't it? It's in the towel.' When Coll returned to her towel, she was visibly confused to find a replacement bottle – which Hampton had put there – but no notes, and was left searching for her original one. 'She was walking back to take the penalty and I was walking the other way and she was so confused, and I was just trying not to burst out laughing, being like, "I don't know what's happening!".' Matterface added: 'This is happening at the key moment in a penalty shootout for the title of European champions?' to which Hampton replied: 'Yeah, you've got to do something, haven't you?' England ended up winning the shootout, with Alex Greenwood, Niamh Charles and Chloe Kelly all converting from the spot as the Lionesses retained their European crown. Hampton meanwhile saved two penalties from Mariona Caldentey and Aitana Bonmati and Salma Paralluelo missed hers.

Newcastle 'considering move for Porto striker Samu Aghehowa after missing out on Benjamin Sesko'
Newcastle have reportedly turned their attention to Porto striker Samu Aghehowa after losing to Manchester United in the race to sign Benjamin Sesko. The Magpies have had no luck in their search for a new forward after star man Alexander Isak made it clear he wants to leave and join Liverpool. Sesko has been added to a list of attacking rejections that includes Liam Delap, Joao Pedro, Bryan Mbeumo and Hugo Ekitike. The situation is becoming somewhat desperate with the new season beginning in one week's time. And David Ornstein of The Athletic claims that Newcastle are now considering a move for Porto's Aghehowa. He adds that no formal approach has been made as of yet and there is no guarantee that it will happen. Aghehowa shone for the Portuguese side last season following his move from Atletico Madrid. The 21-year-old netted 27 goals in 45 games in all competitions and notably netted twice against Man United in the group stages of the Europa League. Aghehowa signed a five-year contract with Porto, which contains a €100m release clause, through to 2029. Brentford's Yoane Wissa and Wolves' Jorgen Strand Larsen are also of their list of potential targets.
