Woman 'fuming' after walking to top of Yr Wyddfa only to see 'p*** take' on summit

Woman 'fuming' after walking to top of Yr Wyddfa only to see 'p*** take' on summit A woman has gone viral after sharing her experience of walking to the top of the mountain 'Why the hell would you want to get the train to the top of Snowdon?' asked Hettie, known as Hettie's Holidays on TikTok A woman who hiked to the top of Yr Wyddfa was left gobsmacked when she discovered she could have taken a train instead. ‌ Hettie, known as Hettie's Holidays on TikTok, shared her hilarious story on social media, leaving viewers in fits of laughter. She expressed her disbelief that others had simply taken a leisurely train ride for a day out. Her video has since gone viral, amassing over 100,000 likes. It seems there's nothing like a good old-fashioned gaffe to get people chuckling, right? ‌ In the video, she exclaimed: "Do you know what's a p*** take when you get to the top of Snowdon? People who have got the train. Firstly, why the hell would you want to get the train to the top of Snowdon?" For our free daily briefing on the biggest issues facing the nation, sign up to the Wales Matters newsletter here . ‌ "What is the point? Does that not defeat the whole object? Unless you need to get the train for any specific reason, if you've just done it to come to the top, nah." The TikToker seemed frustrated by the lack of space for her to rest her weary feet. She added: "People are sat up here having a gourmet lunch dressed in Converse, dresses, blouses - sat having like a birthday family lunch, and people have hiked and walked. We're aching, we're freezing and people are just not even offering seats." While Hettie clarified she wasn't demanding they offer their seats, she questioned why one would choose to visit the area just for lunch. She pointed out there's only "one little restaurant" and diners end up surrounded by people who are "really cold". ‌ She was left perplexed as people appeared to bring their "newborn babies" for baby showers at the location. She concluded her video with a simple statement alongside her friend: "Nah, that's not good with us." The video has since sparked a flurry of comments from thousands of viewers, who seem divided on the issue. While some sympathised with Hettie's perspective, others pointed out that climbing is entirely optional. One individual commented: "This reminds me of the time I scaled the Eiffel Tower, and everyone in the lift didn't let me sit down when I got to the top." ‌ Another echoed her sentiments, writing: "So with you. Remember when I climbed to the top of the Shard, and everyone got the lift, sat there drinking, enjoying the views. Abseiled back down ASAP." However, not everyone was supportive. A third person responded: "The thing about climbing Snowdon is that it's completely optional. Hope this helps." A fourth added: "You're making it sound like you've done a difficult climb. I've seen eight-year-olds go up Snowdon." Article continues below

Due to crowd egress and local road closures for the event vehicles parked in this area will be held until the roads are open again. The stadium is a 45 minute walk from the city centre and 20 minutes from Haymarket and is well served by public transport. ‌ * Where do I go in? There are four different colour coded entrances which will determine which side of the stadium you enter - Purple, blue, orange and green. Check you tickets for more details. Stewards around the ground in blue coat will also be able to help. ‌ Why is Scotland so important to Oasis? The band's luck and the history of music changed thanks to one night in Glasgow at King Tut's on May 31, 1993. Creation Records boss Alan McGee had arranged to meet his sister there for birthday drinks and two of the bands he had recently signed were playing - 18 Wheeler and Boyfriend, as well as a band called Sister Lovers. But unbeknown to him, Sister Lovers had invited their friends from Manchester to come along, telling Oasis they could get a spot on the line up too. ‌ The band had to beg and demand to get on and after a bit of back and forth, were allowed to play a handful of songs if they went on first to play for a tiny crowd. Thankfully McGee had arrived too early so was already there knocking back drinks. McGee writes in his book How To Run An Indie Label: 'They played Rock'n'Roll star and it sounded great. I was really surprised and thought 'who the f**k this?'. I was thinking the next song will be rubbish but it was Bring It On Down and that was great as well. Then it was Up In The Sky and I was already signing them in my head.' McGee's sister was also a fan after the trio of songs, and the band then finished with The Beatles I Am The Walrus which was 'fantastic' and McGee approached the band's sound guy Mark Coyle for an introduction to the band's leader which was Noel. ‌ In the documentary Supersonic, Noel explains: 'I'm up by the mixing desk with Coyley, Alan McGee walks up and says 'what's your band called' and I said 'Oasis' and these were his exact words he said 'do you want a record deal?'. 'We kind of went back that night, I don't remember anybody high-fiving in the back of the van thinking 'this is it'. I don't remember us being nonchalant about it either. We were going back to Manchester and getting into where I was living at 6'o'clock in the morning.' McGee signed them up after Noel, Liam and Bonehead took a train from Manchester to London and met with the Creation team. The band signed to Creation and the label pushed out a white label record of Columbia to 500 radio stations and music writers to start to create a buzz after it was played on Radio 1.
