Skipton's 2025 gala queen and her attendants announced
DELILAH Gray is set to be crowned this year's Skipton Gala Queen following a selection process at the town's Alexander's cafe bar.
Delilah, who will be crowned at June's gala, will be joined by attendants, Joshua Gaunt and Cara Hextall, who were also chosen at the event.
A spokesperson for Skipton Town Council, which is organising the gala for the first time, thanked Susannah Daley and the Alexander's team for hosting the evening.
Judges were Skipton Mayor, Claire Nash; Alexander's general manager, David Broughton, and managing director of Peel X and Peel Roleplay Jessica Wright.
Mr Broughton said: "It was really wonderful to host the event at Alexander's and meeting all of the fantastic applicants. I feel we've picked a very special Gala Queen in Delilah, and very worthy attendants in Cara and Joshua.
"All three demonstrated the kind and caring nature of Skipton and will do the Gala and the town proud. Well done to all the runners-up too, it was a tough decision to make with so many worthy candidates."
The town council spokesperson added: "The expertise and dedication of the judges ensured a thoughtful and smooth selection process, ultimately helping us choose the best representatives for the 2025 gala.
"We look forward to sharing more details about Skipton Gala in the weeks ahead and are excited to celebrate together with our wonderful community on Saturday June 14."
