After posing for photos and selfies, some of the fathers even had the chance to play their own music for the pair of New York rap veterans throughout the afternoon.
'A lot of kids grew up, parents used drugs and parents in jail and all that — the fact that I had my father, a real leader in my household, and working and always kept me focused on the right things,' Joe said of his relationship with his father.
'Kiss reflected on the importance of helping reintegrate those who were incarcerated back into productive members of society. 'Just hitting that switch to let them know that they can come back and get right due to whatever hardships they went through,' Jada said. 'There's some hope now when you come back to get readjusted. Hopefully change your financial situation.'
Joe also implored fathers who have fractured relationships with their kids to reconnect. 'Reconnect with your kids because sometimes kids can get bitter their parents were away in jail,' Joe added. 'You gotta find that bond. It's always there, but you gotta find that red tape to get in sync.'
He continued: 'Start now. Forget if you messed up the last 10, 20, 30 years. Start now to be a productive father and get your relationship with your kids. … On New Year's everyone want to lose weight; I think Father's Day should be an adjustment with you and your kids.'
Joe and Jadakiss hosted the event in collaboration with Sei Less co-founder Dara Mirjahangiry and the REFORM Alliance, ensuring that this Father's Day these families had something to celebrate.
'Working with Fat Joe, Jadakiss and REFORM to celebrate these fathers at Sei Less was truly special,' Mirjahangiry said. 'Ahead of Father's Day, we really wanted to shine a light on these fathers who have been impacted by the criminal justice system and support their re-entry journey with compassion. It was a powerful way to bond through culture, community and cuisine.'

Early does he rise at morn, To his work he goes His day's duty to perform Without pain or woes. Fully well is he aware Of his family's needs, Amply does he store prepare, And. always succeeds. Post Malone on going country and what's next: 'I make what makes me happy'
Post Malone on going country and what's next: 'I make what makes me happy' Show Caption Hide Caption Travis Tritt talks Post Malone's passion for Country music on Opry 100 red carpet Travis Tritt talks Post Malone's passion for Country music on Opry 100 red carpet A crop of musicians has gone country recently, from Tate McRae's chart-topping collaboration with Morgan Wallen on "What I Want" to Beyoncé's Grammy album of the year winner "Cowboy Carter." But perhaps none has been more fully embraced by the genre's fans and surrounding industry than Post Malone. Already a musical chameleon – with No. 1 hits in hip-hop, pop and rock – Malone went all-in on country with his sixth album, "F-1 Trillion." The 2024 release topped both the all-genre Billboard 200 and Top Country charts, earned him a Coachella headlining spot and sparked his most ambitious tour yet, the Big Ass Stadium Tour with Jelly Roll. "I want to make sure I do things with respect. I feel honored that everyone has been accepting and patient with me," Malone tells the Tennessean, part of the USA TODAY Network, in support of Sony's "For The Music" campaign. Post Malone setlist: All the songs he and Jelly Roll played on the Big Ass Stadium Tour Post Malone: Chart-topper and collaborator Malone has a long history of working well with others. Eleven of the 14 songs he's landed on Billboard's Top 10 were collaborations, including "Rockstar" featuring 21 Savage in 2017, "Take What You Want" with Ozzy Osbourne and Travis Scott in 2019, and "Fortnight" with Taylor Swift in 2024. He's also partnered with brands including Bud Light, Crocs, Oreo and Doritos. In his campaign with Sony's For The Music, he's promoting products including noise-canceling headphones and wireless speakers, along with the idea that the combination of music, technology and creativity leads to a greater connection between fans and artists. "I've always just tried to make music that's true to who I am — no matter," Malone says. "I make what makes me happy. So to be part of something that celebrates artists for doing their own thing and pushing boundaries, that feels really special." What's next for Post Malone? Malone doesn't have plans to leave country music anytime soon. He revealed to Billboard in April he's already working on his seventh album and has made trips to Nashville to record. Acclaimed country guitarist Derek Wells, who has worked with Malone while recording and playing live, has high praise for Malone and teases what to expect on the upcoming project. Review: Post Malone fires up first stadium tour with trusty accomplice Jelly Roll "Performing country music is an entirely different discipline and requires an entirely different vocal delivery from working in pop," Wells says. "Moving away from having his voice saturated with vocal effects and treatments has him really working, especially onstage, to deliver a quality show every night. "There's also more fiddle, pedal steel, guitar solos. Where we started as two feet over the line into traditional country on 'F-1 Trillion' has turned into head, chest, shoulders and feet across the line on where we're headed with the next batch of songs." Father's Day in the shadow of dementia
Father's Day is hard, but not because my dad is gone. Well, he is and he isn't. He has dementia. Cindy, my stepmom, called with the news in the summer of 2020. My Dad, Charles, had been displaying symptoms for a few years, but we all wrote it off. Maybe his hearing was going. Maybe his memory was getting fuzzy. Or so we thought. His diagnosis came at the height of the pandemic shutdown, and no one was going anywhere. After an excruciatingly long wait, I got vaccinated and started making plans to take him on a trip the next summer. Should we road-trip to the 'Field of Dreams' in Iowa? No, my stepmom cautioned me, Dad is changing. Instead, in June 2021, I flew from Los Angeles to their home in Delray Beach, and I settled on a Tampa Bay Rays homegame against the Washington Nationals, which required a 3 1/2 hour car ride across the state. For the first time in my life, I was taking care of my dad. I made all the arrangements. A hotel. A tee time. Tickets to a ballgame. I borrowed my stepmom's car, and we hit the road. I filled the car with music I knew he would like. Tom Petty, The Eagles, Bruce Springsteen. 'Ants Marching' by the Dave Matthews Band came on and my dad slapped his knee and sang along. Maybe a part of him was still intact. We got to the hotel, changed and walked to get dinner. It was hot. I worried he was getting uncomfortable but couldn't express it. Without the sonic wallpaper of music, the quiet of our walk was deafening. How was he feeling? 'Fine.' More silence. 'How would you feel if you had to live in a memory care facility? Like Grandma?' 'We'll see,' he said. 'Maybe later.' The next day started with golf. It was a bust. Next was lunch in Tampa's historic Ybor City. I suggested we get our spouses a souvenir. 'That's a good idea.' We went into an antique store, and it hit me: Dad would never get my stepmom another gift on his own. He would never buy her flowers or surprise her with an anniversary trip. I felt unspeakably sad for her. That night was the game. By now I knew how much Dad had changed. I tried not to call attention to it. Still, Dad paid attention the whole game. It was the most peaceful I had seen him during the trip. It was a tight game but the home team won. We went back to the car. A torrential Florida rainstorm started. I put on the radio and drove slowly. It rained so hard I considered pulling off. Even though I was with my Dad, I was on my own. In the years since, I've gone back and visited as much as I can. Each time he's worse. Last September, he moved into a memory care facility. I've spent the last five years grieving — the loss of his cognitive function, his personality, his ability to contribute to my life and the world around him. When I first learned the news, I told my wife what hurt most was running out of time. In my heart was a list of experiences I hoped we would share We were not candid with our feelings, Dad and me. But during the last five years I've opened up. I thanked him for all the things he's given me. I thanked him for supporting my decision to move to L.A. and chase a dream. He did see me get married, and I knew then just how precious those moments can be. This year I'll go see the Los Angeles Dodgers play and I'll think about him every game. I'll keep score just as he taught me and make memories with my wife and friends. He won't be there, and yet he will. It's exactly what he would want for his son.
