Emirati ace Nadia Taryam soars to glory at prestigious HH Sharjah Ruler Cup
Acclaimed Emirati rider Nadia Abdul Aziz Taryam once again dazzled the show jumping world, proving her mettle at the 145m jump-off competition sponsored by Sharjah Tourism, held as part of the prestigious HH Sharjah Ruler Cup International Show Jumping Championship 2025.
With poise, precision, and an unbreakable bond with her magnificent steed, Gabrielle Sol'Heure, Nadia delivered a masterclass in skill and speed. Her first phase was a display of sheer perfection—flawless and breathtakingly fast at 34.51 seconds.
Yet, it was in the heart-pounding jump-off that she truly soared, carving through the course with lightning speed to clock an astonishing 22.71 seconds.
A triumph of grace, power, and unrelenting determination, Nadia's victory was more than just a win—it was a statement, a testament to her brilliance in the saddle.
Germany's seasoned veteran, David Will aboard Dream Star One, finished mere fractions of a second behind Nadia.
Great Britain's rising talent, Joseph Stockdale, riding Billy Santorini, completed the first round in a swift 32.60 seconds.
However, a jump-off time of 23.17 seconds saw him settle for third place.

Recently, Nadia emerged victorious after a nail-biting two-horse jump-off, finishing clear in 41.92 seconds riding Gabrielle Sol'heure at the CSI2* Grand Prix 1.45m Jump-Off presented by Abu Dhabi Sports Council, which saw 44 starters.
The event was part of the 8th Al Shira'aa International Horse Show held in Abu Dhabi last month.
The HH Sharjah Ruler Cup kicked off at the Sharjah Equestrian and Racing Club on Thursday and will conclude on February 23.
Meanwhile, Abdelkebir Ouaddar emerged victorious in the highly anticipated 1.40m Grand Prix qualifier.
The seasoned rider from Morocco, known for his remarkable horsemanship, soared to the top spot with the stunning 13-year-old SF mare, Ceika Malouine.
Chasing him down was Bekzod Kurbanov, whose determination and precision on Santos Hippica ensured a nail-biting finish.
The pair, riding the 11-year-old gelding Santos Hippica, showcased both speed and agility in their bid for the top spot. Despite their best efforts, the combination fell just short of first place, but their performance was strong enough to earn them a third-place finish.
Belgium's Constant van Paesschen, riding Kismet, finished in second place.
Not far behind in fourth place was UAE's Hazza Hamad Aldhaheri, who made an impressive appearance with the talented Arezzo VDL son, Eloy.
