On today's Beyond The Gates recap:
Dani's Home: Andre and Dani are in full-on afterglow mode. Andre asks about Bill and Dani says he'll be fine if he can follow directions. Dani goes on and on about how Bill would rather die than admit a weakness. Andre thinks her heart is gigantic as she is still willing to forgive him even after everything, he put her through.
Dani explains what happened the day before in Bill's hospital room. Andre tries to relate to Dani's situation, but she thinks he's too good in bed to be this sensitive. Dani gets serious saying she wants him but something inside her broke when Bill dumped her. Andre wants to help fix her. Just then, they hear Vernon calling out from below. Dani screams she will be right there and tells Andre to stay put.
Vernon gets a call from Jacob saying he needs help with Naomi. He's convinced it has something to do with Bill. Vernon says he is on his way. He calls up to Dani saying he's out but will stop by later. She calls upstairs to let Andre know he's gone. Dani admits she is an ungodly mess. Andre and Dani get dressed as she needs to check in on Bill.
Garfield Memorial Hospital – Lobby: Chelsea is following Madison around with her livestreaming phone much to the young doctor's chagrin. Chelsea asks her questions about being a doctor, but Madison says she graduated school early because it was and is her passion.
Madison goes on and on about Chelsea's social media presence and how awkward she feels when she's in front of the camera. With that, Madison heads out to do some doctoring.
Garfield Memorial Hospital – Bill's Room: Ashley tries to look after Bill while he is on the phone dealing with a case. She calls him Mr Hamilton and instructs him to rest if he wants to get better. Bill pushes and then almost falls out of bed when trying to grab his Bluetooth handset. Just then, Hayley walks in.
Bill pretends like Ashley is hitting on him and demands to be released. Hayley plays around with Ashley and says she thought the doctor said Bill had some sort of his faculties remaining. With that, she heads over to Bill and kisses him good morning.
Hayley looks around and demands to know which person brought him the work to review. Bill refuses to admit the identity of the culprit. She offers to bring him some parenting books, instead. Bill asks how she's doing, and she admits she was somewhat thrown for a loop. Dr Montgomery returns and gives Bill another stroke protocol test. He does better but she notes Bill is a bit weaker on the left than right. Bill wants everything to move faster but Hayley notes she isn't a miracle worker. Chelsea jumps in saying Dr Montgomery is great at her job. Just then, Dani arrives to check in. Madison says if Bill wants to get better, he will require rehab.
Anita and Vernon's Mansion: Vernon asks about closing the door on The Articulettes. She says she has, and Vernon can't believe it but knows she doesn't close herself to anything so easily. She doesn't really care and moves along to worrying about Dani after Bill's stroke. He thinks they should go check up on her now and they head out. As they exit, they run into Tracy and Sharon. Anita gets rude saying she should have revoked their passes. Tracy barges in and says she is now going to have her say.
Anita tells Vernon to go on to see Dani without him and he exits. She re-enters the room to reluctantly chat with Tracy and Sharon. Tracy says it's time to have her say.
Tracy says being at each other's throats won't bring Barbara back from the dead. She asks how they move past their issues to find a way at least to a final concert. Anita isn't certain they can ever get past the pain and Sharon agrees. Tracy guarantees she can convince them otherwise.
She gets Tracy and Sharon to sit down and reminds them of the origin story of The Articulettes and how much they loved each other. They all remember how they were all for one and one for all. Tracy remembers when she lost her father and how they all dragged her out back into the world. She says the sisterhood was real and all they have to do is reclaim it. Tracy thinks it might be there last chance to be this close and gain some applause.
Anita says she is feeling hopeful and the Articulettes are her first love. She knows they had something special. Anita is down to salvage any part of their sisterhood. They are both stunned when Sharon agrees and says it's exhausting to hold onto all this anger. She thinks they will never know if they don't give it a shot. With that, they all join hands and agree they are better together, sisters forever and Articulettes strong.
Orphey Gene's: Naomi and Jacob take a seat and talk about one of her cases. Jacob is impressed with her energy as she tossed and turned the night before. Jacob asks when they are going to see Bill, but Naomi says no. Just then, Vernon arrives. Naomi says she can't be at the hospital because she's the one responsible for his hospitalization. Jacob quickly excuses himself and leaves them alone.
Vernon can't believe Naomi is blaming herself for Bill's condition, but she says she saw the signs and just let it happen. Vernon refuses to let her go down this path saying that kind of guilt can eat a person alive. He uses the example of someone (Anita) who blamed themselves for someone's death.
Naomi can't believe either of her grandparents would ever have anything to feel guilty about. Vernon says most young folks think they invented mischief and bad behavior. Naomi is intrigued and Vernon moves along to tell his granddaughter about his Uncle Cornelius in the summer of '69.
He recalls when his uncle was around once, and they were playing a game of HORSE. Suddenly, he hit his knees but told Vernon he was ok. He didn't tell anyone and the next thing he knew, there was an ambulance at the house wheeling out his uncle. Cornelius had a stroke but eventually made a full recovery. Naomi says there's no way he could have known and, after a bit more conversation he relates it back to Bill and tells Naomi to go be with her father. With that, Naomi hugs her grandfather.
Garfield Memorial Hospital – Bill's Room: Dr Montgomery tells Bill and family the hospital PT is great and would be her go to. Hayley inquires and Madison says the PT is right outside. Just then, Shanice walks in. She re-introduces herself and Dr Montgomery leaves them in her capable hands.
Hayley is confused as she thought Shanice was a nurse. Shanice says she is a supervisor of nurses but started her career as a PT. Bill asks how long it's been since she was in direct care and Shanice says two days ago as she never really left. She says she has references. Hayley says it's certainly not necessary, but Bill says he needs ALL OF THE REFERENCES! Dani jumps in and reminds him of a case the year before and says the success was because of Shanice. They chat a bit more and Shanice says she'll be back in a bit for his first session.
Garfield Memorial Hospital – Lobby: Andre runs into Ashley and is very happy to see him. He's there to drop off the footage for his documentary. Since no one else is there to take it for her, Ashley agrees to hold on to it. Ashley wonders if the hospital's request to see his raw footage is actually about Leslie's case.
Anita and Vernon's Mansion: Vernon returns home, and Anita tells him the reunion concert is back on. She says she is headed to Chicago, and she says she has to get back to her roots to make sure this reunion works.

Diddy allegedly wanted one last drug-fueled night after rehab push: testimony

Sean "Diddy" Combs' ex-girlfriend, testifying under the pseudonym Jane, told jurors Wednesday that the rapper wanted one more "sobriety party" before he pursued rehab. Jane claimed there were three entertainers at the party, and she allegedly did not take any drugs. She testified that while she agreed to the party, she also resented Diddy "for knowing how much I loved him and knowing how I couldn't say no to him." Under direct examination last week, the government asked Jane if she and Diddy experienced "hotel nights" without drugs. Jane explained that the former couple attempted the nights a handful of times, and it was at Diddy's request in October 2023 that they tried a "sobriety party." "Around this time I just really wanted my partner to get sober," Jane testified. "I just really cared so much about Sean's health, and I could see that he just, like, was excessively partying on top of just so many pills that he takes daily for I don't know what. And I just really wanted him to get clean and just get better." She continued, "And he said, okay, I'm going to do like 30 days without anything, and I'll be sober. But let's just have, like, one more, one more sobriety party. Just one, like, sobriety party." When asked what drugs Diddy used during the "sobriety party," Jane replied, "I believe ecstasy. And cocaine. I don't know." She also alleged the party lasted "too long," claiming it was "close to 12 to 18 hours." Diddy's ex testified Tuesday that she broached the subject of rehab for the "I Need A Girl" rapper after allegedly witnessing him "overdoing the partying." She claimed he would offer her ecstasy before engaging in role play and that Diddy liked to use the words "voyeurism" and "escapism" to describe his fantasies of watching her participate in sexual encounters with male escorts. WATCH: DIDDY'S EX-GIRLFRIEND PREPS FOR CROSS EXAMINATION AFTER 'GRAPHIC, DAYS-LONG' TESTIMONY Jane also claimed the rapper made her delete social media posts showing him while allegedly forcing her to participate in "hotel nights." The jury was shown a photo of Diddy at the popular sushi spot, Nobu, before a "hotel night." Jane confirmed she and the "Gotta Move On" rapper went to dinner before with two male escorts, Paul and Don. Jane testified during cross-examination that Combs made her delete a social media post from the dinner. The jury was then shown text messages between Jane and Diddy dated March 2, 2022. Jane was coordinating coming to Miami before the Nobu dinner. Diddy's text read, "Everyone can post…" Jane responded, telling Diddy to have another woman delete a post. According to Jane, this was a fight that occurred after a "hotel night" because Jane saw the rapper's other girlfriend, Gina, post a picture wearing a "love necklace." Jane claimed she had a matching "love bracelet." Jane explained that those nights were so "emotionally excruciating, so to see these things was really hurtful." Jane testified she was upset that Gina could post on social media, but she could not. Jane's cross-examination began Tuesday by Diddy's criminal defense lawyer, Teny Geragos. She questioned Jane about her relationship with the rapper and her participation in the allegedly forced "hotel nights." Jane testified Diddy was upfront with her about dating multiple women at the start of their relationship in 2021. She explained the rapper was "polyamorous" and she was okay with that at the time. She testified at first she didn't mind because she was just getting to know Diddy. Diddy paid Jane's rent through their "love contract," according to her testimony. The ex-girlfriend told the prosecution that she felt obligated to perform at "hotel nights" for the rapper because he had threatened to stop paying for her home. For "hotel nights," Jane claimed she was expected to dress in lingerie and have sex with other men in front of the rapper. The cross-examination became heated when Geragos began questioning Jane about the money he spent on her and gifts she received from the rapper. Texts to Diddy from Jane about the "Last Night" rapper buying purses for another woman were brought up in court. Geragos commented that Jane also received a bag of her own. "No, I only got trauma … after three-and-a-half years, I really don't think I garnered anything," Jane told the court. Geragos pressed, "How much do Bottega bags cost?" to which Jane replied, "How much does my body cost?" before asking the court for a break from testimony. When court resumed, Jane apologized to Geragos. Geragos also brought up Diddy's alleged drug use. Jane testified that when she first met the raper, she knew he consumed drugs. However, she claimed she didn't know how much. During a trip early on in their relationship, Jane claimed it became apparent the rapper wasn't taking care of himself after she noticed his eyes and teeth. The music mogul allegedly appeared jaundiced, his gums were gray, and his hands were shaky from over-consuming alcohol. Jane said she spoke to him about rehab and suggested a trip to Thailand. "What the h---, you think I need rehab?" Jane claimed Diddy said at the time. Before cross-examination began Tuesday, Judge Arun Subramanian denied Diddy's second request for a mistrial. Diddy's legal team had argued that the prosecution knowingly presented false testimony to the court in a letter filed June 7 and obtained by Fox News Digital. WATCH: WITNESS DETAILS HOW DIDDY 'DANGLED' HER OVER A BALCONY IN EXPLOSIVE NEW TESTIMONY The defense pointed to testimony from Bryana "Bana" Bongolan, who claimed Diddy dangled her off a 17th floor balcony in September 2016. Portions of her testimony were questioned after she couldn't remember details of the alleged incident, including what drugs she was on at the time. However, the federal judge ruled there was no interference. Judge Subramanian noted the defense was able to, and did, attack Bongolan's testimony to undermine her credibility. According to the judge, there was no prejudice to an exhibit that had helped the defense's case.

Diddy calls his ex a ‘crack pipe' in audio released in rapper's sex trafficking trial

Audio released in Sean "Diddy" Combs' sex trafficking and racketeering trial features the rapper calling his ex-girlfriend a "crack pipe." Diddy sent the audio message to his ex-girlfriend, who testified under the pseudonym Jane, after a "hotel night." Jane claimed she was forced to continue having sex with multiple male escorts after becoming sick. "Hey, baby, we had a great time, stay in the light. It's all good, get your rest," Diddy can be heard saying in the audio message. "You are the crack pipe. That's my new name for you, crack pipe, or should I call you CP? But yeah, I want you to stay in the light. You know what I'm saying? We had a very, very good time together. Like so much, so much so much so much f---ing fun, so much f---ing fun." "Now go rest up, get in your bag," he added. "You know what I'm saying, you got your contract, find a nice little spot, put your mind at ease and yeah, I had a great time and I really, really want you to get some rest. I didn't know about you throwing up and all that. That's when I was like, hold up a second. All right, get some rest baby, love." LISTEN: JURY HEARS AUDIO MESSAGE DIDDY SENT TO HIS EX-GIRLFRIEND The jury was also shown photo evidence of damage allegedly done by Diddy to Jane's home. Multiple photos were entered as evidence of the master bedroom door, the master bathroom door and a guest bedroom door of Jane's home. Jane testified that Diddy kicked the doors "literally off the hinges" during an altercation that occurred after she confronted the rapper about another woman. "I just – I was making an assumption that he was with another woman, and it just had really angered me, I think at this point in our relationship," she told the court Monday. "I just was bottling up a lot of resentment and anger towards him." Jane called Diddy a "pedophile" during the confrontation because the age gap between him and this other woman "rubbed [her] the wrong way." Jane felt the fight escalated after she pushed Diddy's head into a marble countertop and threw candles towards the rapper. According to Jane, she did not strike Combs with any glass. The rapper allegedly followed her into the master bedroom, bathroom and closet before she attempted to run for the front door. "Sean kicked me from the back of my thigh, and then I fell down on my butt," Jane testified. "And then he picked me up in a chokehold and choked me." Jane claimed she ran about six blocks away from the home and waited for approximately two hours before returning. Once home, the fight between her and Diddy continued. As the fight turned physical, Jane recalled Diddy punching her twice. She ran into the backyard and laid down in the grass, covering her face, head and body with her hands. Diddy allegedly punched and kicked her "several times" while in this position before he dragged her back into the home. Jane said she "just kept saying, 'Leave me the f--- alone. Leave me the f--- alone. Just leave. Just leave.'" She added: "And I just kept saying that I hated him." Jane recalled getting into the shower to clean off. At this point, Diddy allegedly slapped her until she lost her balance and fell over. Jane told jurors Wednesday that the rapper wanted one more "sobriety party" before he pursued rehab, which she had suggested. Jane claimed there were three entertainers at the party, and she allegedly did not take any drugs. She testified that while she agreed to the party, she also resented Diddy "for knowing how much I loved him and knowing how I couldn't say no to him." When asked what drugs Diddy used during the "sobriety party," Jane replied, "I believe ecstasy. And cocaine. I don't know." In Sean "Diddy" Combs trial, "Jane" testifies she resents Combs "for leading me into the lifestyle"

Cross-examination resumed Thursday of an ex-girlfriend of Sean "Diddy" Combs in his sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy trial. The woman is testifying under the pseudonym "Jane." Wednesday, the defense played voice notes where Jane is heard telling Combs she loves him. She testified they'd break up and get back together. Jane has alleged that Combs forced her to have sex with male prostitutes. She previously testified she took part at the music mogul's request because it made her feel loved by him, but now regrets what she came to recognize as the "cuckold" lifestyle. She previously testified their three-year relationship lasted until the Bad Boy Records founder was arrested in September at New York hotel, where she'd been planning to meet him. Combs, 55, has pleaded not guilty to sex trafficking and racketeering conspiracy charges that carry a potential penalty of 15 years to life in prison. He has been jailed without bail. Prosecutors allege Combs used violence, threats and a network of employees and associates to control and abuse women for two decades. His lawyers have told the jury in federal court in Manhattan that although there was domestic violence in his relationships, everything he did sexually was consensual. Earlier in the trial, R&B signer Casandra " Cassie " Ventura testified over four days that Combs physically abused her and that she participated in hundreds of "freak-off" sexual performances during a nearly 11-year relationship that ended in 2018. The Associated Press doesn't name alleged victims of sexual abuse without their consent unless they have shared their identities publicly, as Cassie has. "I resent him for leading me into the lifestyle he led me to" Attorney Teny Geragos, representing Combs, cross-examined Jane on Tuesday by leading her into discussing the drug-fueled sexual marathons choreographed by Combs — which Jane said sometimes happened weekly — by reminding her that she mentioned regrets in earlier testimony. "I resent him for leading me into the lifestyle he led me to," Jane said. "I resented the way he went about introducing me to this lifestyle." She said she agreed to these "hotel nights" while "under a lot of emotional pressure" — and already hooked on love and a desire to stay in a relationship with Combs. Jane testified that she partook in the encounters, sometimes grudgingly, because they pleased Combs and she enjoyed spending time alone with him afterward. Jane testified she began therapy about three months ago. She previously met with lawyers on Combs' defense team but cut off those meetings in April, days before the trial began. She said she struggles to understand why she kept participating in "hotel nights" even though she only wanted to have sex with Combs, however the reasons are "becoming more and more clear" as she proceeds with therapy. Jane initially felt it was "something very special" to have these secret sexual experiences with Combs. She said she didn't want to judge him and "really wanted to just go along with these things because if I can be my partner's escapes than I would be." Jane said she researched sexual variations in 2022 and came across the words "cuck" and "cuckold," which seemed to fit the lifestyle she found herself in because she said a man known as a "cuck" derives pleasure seeing "his woman receive pleasure" from another man. "He likes to use the words 'voyeurism' and 'escapism,'" Jane said. She added: "I would use the word cuck for him more so." Geragos reminded Jane that she had testified last week that she loves Combs currently. "I do," she responded. Geragos had Jane read aloud some of the many sexually explicit messages in which she expressed the types of activities she wanted to engage in during "hotel nights" with Combs and male sex workers as she tried to portray Jane as a willing and eager participant in frequent sex events. In earlier testimony, Jane provided recent examples of Combs acting violently toward a woman while seeking to fulfill his sexual desires. Cassie sued Combs in November 2023 alleging sexual abuse. The lawsuit was settled within hours for $20 million, but it touched off the criminal investigation into Combs.
