Beyond The Gates Recap: Kat Builds Her Case Against Leslie and Eva

Beyond The Gates Recap: Kat Builds Her Case Against Leslie and Eva originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Beyond The Gates recap: Anita and Vernon's Mansion: Vernon arrives and Anita says Sharon and Tracy are on their way. Just then, the doorbell rings and Anita finds Tracy at the door, alone. Inside, Vernon inquires, and Anita thinks the worst. Tracy says Sharon is in town but resting up at the hotel. They will have lunch a little later at Orphey Gene's. Anita was setting up lunch at the house but Sharon was insistent. Vernon thinks they should all head over to the restaurant but Tracy thinks it's best if she goes by herself, for now. With that, she exits. Uptown: Dani arrives to see Pamela and tells her about Hayley's pregnancy. Just then, Adam walks up and Dani thinks he is a perspective model for their new agency. Adam course corrects and Dani realizes Pamela has sired him for her. The two begin to back and forth and Dani is intrigued when he wants to take her shopping and perhaps a private tour of the Smithsonian. Dani is incredibly receptive before sending him on his way. She is put off a bit by her friend when Pamela notes it's not like she's seeing anyone. Pamela tells Dani everything she does is a reaction to Bill and Hayley and she needs to move on. Dani isn't hearing it and loses her s*** when she says Hayley is faking her pregnancy. Pamela says Dani needs to move on and meet a man. Dani loses it again and says she already has a man and is enjoying the ride. Pamela can't believe Dani is sleeping with Andre. Dani says she has to keep quiet as she doesn't want to deal with Nicole about this situation. Pamela promises to keep quiet but wonders how Andre feels about the situation. Nicole and Ted's Home: Kat is giving Mona a box of clothes to donate. Mona is impressed with her generosity. She realizes Kat needs to talk and asks about dinner with her father. Kat says she walked in on Ted with Leslie. As she describes the scene to Mona, her mother walks in. Kat tries to hide the truth, but Nicole isn't buying it. Kat show Nicole the video of someone going into Laura's hospital room the night she was poisoned and says she thinks it was Leslie. Mona apologizes for not being able to identify Leslie but Kat says she's not giving up. With that, Mona thinks they should get back to sorting the clothing donations. Kat puts on a leather jacket from one of the boxes and finds something suspicious in the pocket – a parking ticket for a motorcycle. Kat thinks it might be the jacket the driver was wearing the night of Laura's 'accident.' They note the address seems to be very close to the site of the accident. Kat says it's on the same street of the warehouse which supplied the footage. Nicole notes the parking ticket doesn't tie Leslie to the accident. Kat finds a receipt from a coffee shop with the name, 'Cherie C.' She notes that Leslie used the name 'Sherry' when she pretended to be a woman on the verge of suicide. She wonders just how easy it could have been for a barista to spell that name in a different way. Kat is the smartest woman in the room as she deduces Leslie gave the leather jacket away because she knew about the clothing drive. Nicole thinks her theory makes sense and Kat thinks they have enough proof to move forward. Kat, Nicole and Mona decide to go to the coffee shop together to try and put together the puzzle pieces so Jacob can make an arrest. Kat thinks Leslie will now know what happens when she messes with the Dupree family. Ted's Hotel: Andre and Ted are talking about Leslie's visit the night before. Ted says she came over to discuss Eva, but she ended up flinging herself at him. Unfortunately, Kat walked in and completely misinterpreted the situation. Andre tells Ted about the footage of someone going into Laura's hospital room but there is no way to identify who it was. They switch to talking about the Dupree family and how he's now on the outs. Andre says his only job is to pull Nicole closer, but Ted says she isn't particularly receptive. They shift topics to Andre's lack of relationships. Andre says he has people, but Ted thinks they are just a run of nameless, faceless situationships. Andre loses his cool and says he's been with Dani. Andre explains and says he cares a lot about her. Ted realizes it might be more than casual. Andre says he's in, but Dani is still recovering from her divorce. Ted promises to keep the situation quiet, and Andre promises to be careful. Ted thinks Andre cares more than Dani does, but he thinks she cares more than she wants to admit. Leslie's Apartment: Leslie is listening to music and messing around in her closet when she finds her motorcycle gloves from the night of Laura's 'accident.' Just then, Eva walks in and finds her mother rummaging through her stuff. She walks back out and acts like she just arrived. Leslie opens the door and says she was listening to The Temptations and goes on and on about the sexy new lead singer (In real life, Trisha Mann-Grant is married to a member of The Temptations). Eva says she is there to pick up her stuff and Leslie points her in the direction of her pile. Leslie makes mention of having run into Kat at Ted's hotel room. She giggles when she says she doesn't think Eva's sister likes her very much. Eva tells her mother to stay away from Kat. Leslie mentions the audacity of Eva's half-sister to record her without her knowledge. Eva still hasn't gotten over her mother accusing her of going after Laura on the aforementioned tape. Leslie says she was defending her daughter and none of it matters because there is no evidence against either of them. Leslie pushes Eva to leave but she says she likes being around her mother. Leslie says she now has better. She tells her daughter she knew all of her secrets and stories and Eva took that information and betrayed her. Eva thought the plan was always about getting her close to her father but realizes it was her own personal revenge. Leslie thinks, either way, the goal of getting Eva close to the Duprees was accomplished. Eva says she really does miss her mama but Leslie says she blessed the day she walked out. She says she no longer needs her daughter cramping her style as she has done since birth (me thinks mama Leslie doth protest too much). She asks her daughter for her key and sends her packing. Eva grabs her stuff and is in tears (as is her mother) when she leaves. After Eva closes the door, Leslie breaks down. Orphey Gene's: Tracy and Sharon arrive and take a seat. Tracy looks around and pushes Sharon's focus to the picture of the Articulettes on the wall. She then shows her the tiny jukeboxes on the table which feature their songs. Sharon gets all kinds of snarky and Tracy wonders if her coming to town was a mistake. Sharon says if Anita and Vernon think they are having a glorious family reunion, they have another thing coming. Tracy thinks it's time for all of them to stop punishing each other. Sharon wonders why Tracy constantly cuts for Anita. Tracy says it's time to move on and celebrate the fact all three of them are still alive. Anita and Vernon's Mansion: Vernon tries to comfort Anita (or change her mind) by saying she should let it all go and let the younger generation sing and create harmonies. Anita realizes he is using reverse psychology and Vernon admits he's been pushing too hard. If she isn't up for it, he thinks they can simply go back to their everyday life. Previous Beyond The Gates Recap: Endings Vernon asks Anita, one last time, if she really wants to move forward with the reunion. Anita admits it's all she wants. She can't wait to be back on stage with her sisters, but it also scares her to death. Just then, there's a knock at the door revealing Sharon on the other side. Ted looks at a picture of Nicole when he gets a call from someone. He notes something has been delivered and thanks the person on the phone. Nicole gets a bouquet of flowers and a note from Ted. He tells Nicole he just wants her to read his message. Ted reminds her of their time in Hawaii and watching the sunrise. He does everything he can to entice her back to being in love. Nicole puts the note down, smells a flower and puts it behind her ear. Kat and Mona arrive at Orphey Gene's discussing how they might be on to Leslie in a way where they can present the evidence to Jacob. Just then, Leslie arrives and says she thought it took three witches to make a coven. She wonders what these two witches are trying to brew… Eva arrives back at her Leslie's apartment saying she broke in like her mama taught her. She goes directly to the closet and pulls down the bag which contains the proof Leslie took down Leslie. Keep checking back for the latest Beyond The Gates recaps! Beyond The Gates Recap: Sharon Has Anita Shaking in Her Boots

Beyond The Gates Recap: Sharon Has Anita Shaking in Her Boots originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Beyond The Gates recap: Anita and Vernon's Mansion: Sharon arrives and immediately lets Anita know she's not there for small talk. Vernon walks up and Sharon greets him with a warm hug. Anita wonders where Tracy is but Sharon thinks they should chat one on one. With that, Vernon makes his exit. Anita and Sharon get right into it. She knows she had to disassociate from her feelings in order to get where she needed to go. Anita hopes she and Sharon can put everything out on the table. Sharon can't with Anita still trying to be the one in charge when that is what ruined them. Anita says she wants to take anything Sharon is ready to throw her way. Sharon suspects it's easy to feel the heat when Anita has so much money supporting her. Anita admits to making a ton of terrible mistakes but says she has worked hard for everything she has. Sharon notes they were all talented and says she had offers to go solo but chose to stick with the group. Once Anita left, those offers dried up. Sharon notes how rumors spread she had a drug and alcohol problem and knows Anita and Dante were responsible for spreading them. Anita claims to have no knowledge of how those rumors spread. Sharon says it doesn't change the fact that Dante did what he needed to do to elevate Anita's career. Anita wants to do the concert with the two of them to make amends. Sharon says it is too late for her to make amends or have peace of any kind. Anita walks in with tangerines and cheese as she remembers they were Sharon's favorites. Sharon remembers they were so poor and these were the only things they could afford. They chit chat a bit about the good old days when Sharon stops her. She says she's not there to reminisce and asks how much Vernon knows about what actually happened to split up the Articulettes. Anita says he knows she and Tracy were angry about her siding with Dante but told him the rest was complicated. Sharon is not surprised to learn Anita let Vernon think everything Dante spread in the press was accurate. Further, they were never able to defend themselves because he made them sign NDAs simply to receive their final payment. Anita says she never knew, and Sharon gets it as she wouldn't return their calls. Anita admits the pain she caused but says Sharon cannot blame her for the decisions they made together. Sharon loses her s*** and says Anita was the one who decided to break ranks. She was the one who was going to follow her dreams no matter the consequences for the rest of them. Sharon is clearly talking about two different topics when she says Anita told them they could go along with her plan or not. Anita says they did and Sharon confirms – but may God forgive them (I'll admit to being a touch confused). Sharon wants to leave but Anita says they need to get everything out. She doesn't want to be the only one to wonder how much responsibility the bear, individually or together, for what happened (WHAT HAPPENED?!?!). Sharon is having NONE of Anita. She thinks maybe it's time everyone learns the truth about Anita, including Vernon (that look of panic on Anita's face!). Police Station: Detective Walker arrives to speak with Jacob to help with Laura's case. He is an expert in video analysis and Jacob asks the different ways they could make a match. Fairmont Country Club: Chelsea runs into Martin and says she they want Samantha to be the teen face of their purse line. It will allow her to be in the game without going full force. Chelsea wants to join him for lunch but Martin says he's meeting up with his dad. They move along to discuss Hayley's pregnancy. Chelsea thinks the entire situation is cringe worthy. Martin takes a seat and the waiter (who is also following folks around) pours his coffee. He quickly makes his exit when Ted arrives. Martin says he's been thinking about how they keep secrets. He loves his father and doesn't like how he treated his mother but thinks he deserves more compassion and understanding. Martin asks how things are going with his mother. Ted thinks they've made progress but it's not enough. He now thinks Leslie is far more dangerous than anyone ever knew. The waiter watches from a distance as Martin and Ted continue their conversation. Ted fills Martin in on his worries about Leslie having run Laura off the road and how Eva is in danger. He would love to talk to Nicole about this situation and Martin mentions possibly collaborating with Bill to get her gone, once again. Police Station: Kat and Leslie arrive to speak with Jacob. Kat presents him with the leather jacket and the receipts, but Leslie is there purely out of curiosity. Kat begins the presentation of the leather jacket. Jacob says it could have been touched and/or worn by anyone. She moves forward with a tag from the thrift shop, a ticket for a motorcycle without a license plate, and a coffee shop receipt. Kat notes the coffee shop receipt is for a 'Cherry C' which is very similar to 'Sherry C' which is the name Leslie used when she pretended to need Nicole's psychiatric assistance. Jacob asks if Leslie has anything to say for herself. She says she does and asks how she can file for a restraining order against Kat. Leslie is completely over Nancy Drew and her investigation. She says the 'evidence' Kat is presenting could have originated anywhere and has nothing to do with her. Leslie says the harassment has to stop and is serious about the restraining order. Kat calls her an 'arrogant bitch' before Jacob tells her to slow her roll. Leslie says she is up with no more bullying. Before she exits, she leans into Kat and says, 'That's Miss Bitch, bitch.' Kat is over the top telling Jacob how they have all the evidence they need to put Leslie away. During her explanation, Kat says she tried on the jacket which sets Jacob off as she could just as easily be arrested for Laura's 'accident.' He notes hers are likely the only prints on the jacket and the receipts. Orphey Gene's: Chelsea sees her grandfather working on his computer and he says he's working on a commencement address. Chelsea says he has always been good at giving young people advice. Vernon inquires and Chelsea tells him about issues with her latest relationship. Vernon is so sorry and knows rejection is just the worst. Chelsea thinks she dodged a bullet and notes the issues her mother is having with her father. Vernon understands what's happened recently but says there are a whole lot of solid examples of love all around her. Eva's Hotel Room: Eva thinks back to stealing things from her mama's house when Ted arrives. He says he's been trying to reach out to her to discuss Leslie's accusations which is why she has been ghosting. Ted gets it saying he never believed she was the one to run Eva off the road. He says he believed her before she had an alibi. He simply believes in her. Eva defends her mother saying she was probably just trying to get under Kat's skin. Ted counters saying Eva needs to protect herself from her mother. He thinks Eva is afraid of her mother. Eva wondered if her mother could have forced Laura off the road or caused the cardiac arrest but chooses to believe her. Ted gets it but says she can come to her if she ever wants to break free from her mother. Eva tells him to be careful as her mama has a tendency to confuse what she wants with reality. They agree to watch out for each other. Nicole and Ted's Place: (Y'all when I tell you I HOWLED when the camera first focused on that Febreze bottle!) Nicole sprays her house down with Febreze as Martin arrives to see how she is doing. He tells her about his meeting with his father and Nicole says she also spent the morning learning more about Leslie's more dangerous qualities. Martin says Ted misses her but says he would never pressure her in any way. That being said, he can't believe she has gone radio silent. Nicole says giving in would be a relief but wouldn't be real. Previous Beyond The Gates Recap: Endings Anita hopes Sharon will consider her offer about the concert. Sharon thinks the concert is simply a gesture, after which she will cast them aside as she did before (Sharon ain't wrong. The plan was to possibly relaunch her solo career…). Anita says it's not what she wants. Sharon says she knows Anita even better than Vernon and will never trust her again. With that, she makes her exit leaving Anita in tears. Vernon returns to find a despondent Anita on the sofa. He inquires and Anita indicates she couldn't convince Sharon to forgive her as she never forgave herself. Kat arrives home and tells Martin and Nicole about her less than successful trip to the police station. She says how Jacob was less than thrilled with many of her investigative techniques. Martin sides with Jacob and Nicole tells her kids to chill out. She says they need to accept that Leslie will probably get away with everything she's done. Detective Walker returns and tells Jacob his suspect is right at 5'7' and thinks he knows the manufacturer of the helmet and boots. Jacob asks about the leather jacket and the detective says the one in his possession (how would he know because Kat had yet to turn it in) was a match for the one in the video. Leslie shows up at Eva's hotel room asks her what she did with her helmet and gloves. Eva gets all kinds of smug and says they are currently hidden in a much better place than her apartment. Eva says she's protecting herself as what her mama says isn't always what she does. She tells Leslie she now needs to make sure to stay on her good side. Beyond The Gates Recap: Andre Tries to Explain Himself to Dani

Beyond The Gates Recap: Andre Tries to Explain Himself to Dani originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Beyond The Gates recap: Anita and Vernon's Mansion: Naomi arrives with a gift for her gran. She opens it and sees a framed one sheet from an Articulettes concert. She thanks her granddaughter for the very fond memory. Anita gets in her feels and leaves the room. Anita returns and says looking back has its hazards and notes getting the group back together isn't going to happen. Naomi wants to shift her meeting with Bill to the next day and head off to the club. Anita says she didn't know who she was back in the day. She promises not to wallow for long but needs to sit in this sadness for a minute. They agree to talk later and Naomi exits. Anita looks in a cabinet and pulls out a letter from a hidden drawer. She sits in her bay window and begins to read. (Closed Captioning tells us the narrator of the letter is Barbara) – Barbara tells Anita to take a bow as the group she started moved forward in a way they never imagined, without her. She reminds Anita how the FOUR OF THEM use to stay up late in that little room at Cabrini-Green. They used to talk about how their careers were going to flourish even thought their families thought they were crazy. Barbara loved Anita and in return she took her group, her pride and her dignity. Barbara wonders whether Anita had it in her to feel anything at all. Barbara explains that Dante Green was supposed to be their ticket to the big time. He was supposed to manage them but she was the problem. Bill's Law Office: Bill asks Tomas about the last HR committee meeting. Tomas says he didn't type up notes to keep from having a paper trail. He says they might think about smaller, less intrusive changes and Bill approves. Tomas says the goal is to facilitate a healthier work space. Bill approves but stops Tomas before he exits. He says he needs Tomas to keep an eye of his family. He thinks Bill is asking simply about Chelsea and Naomi but he tells Tomas to keep his eyes open for whatever he might see. Bill discusses Ted's issues with Leslie and make mention that keeping his eyes on Kat and Naomi might also be a good thing. Tomas pushes back but Bill says it's a light ask and simply needs him to help a father out. Tomas can't imagine how Kat will respond when he begins to ask questions. Just then, Bill gets a call saying Kat has arrived. She walks in and Bill says Tomas can have some time away to enjoy a meal. Dani's Home: Dani is on the phone when Hayley walks in and pulls out her positive pregnancy test. Dani thinks her move wreaks of desperation. She thinks Hayley is going to play a Lifetime movie and buy a prosthetic belly. Hayley says she just wants to enjoy her pregnancy without all Dani's chaos. Dani tells her to cut the crap and take a test in front of her. Hayley is unwilling to play Dani's game but she doubles down on her desire to know for a fact about her alleged pregnancy. With that, Dani tells Hayley to leave. Garfield Memorial Hospital: Andre walks in to find Ashley at the nurses station after her overnight shift. He asks about her relationship and Ashley indicates that Derek didn't actually move back in. Just then, the fireman walks in ready to take his girlfriend to breakfast. Derek explains he moved back into his old place, and all is right in their relationship world. Andre hopes he didn't overstep and explains he gave Ashely a bit of advice. Derek wonders why she didn't tell them about their encounter. Ashley scrambles a bit and Andre says he understands how couples find their own way. With that, he exits… but looks back before texting Dani, who says she's home waiting for him. Orphey Gene's: Leslie approaches Kat's table and takes a seat. She says the court has yet to comply with her restraining order because the Dupree family controls everything. Leslie says if she doesn't back off she will sue her for defamation of character. Kat explains Jacob is simply exploring the facts of a case but Leslie thinks the reason he hasn't found anything is because she is innocent. Kat tries to play with Leslie about being in her father's hotel room. Leslie says she was wearing the fit that night that she had on when they first met. Kat says her dad was only trying to get away from her as he is too smart to get pulled back into her web. Leslie tells little KitKat she has been underestimated her entire life which is why folks don't know she's around until she is right there. Bill's Law Office: Hayley arrives and gives Bill a little insight into her encounter with Dani. She pulls out the pregnancy test but Bill says he believes her as she has that glow. Just then, Naomi arrives and Bill informs her about their pregnancy. Naomi goes on an on saying it's clear Hayley has made certain to implant her insurance policy in her belly. Hayley thinks their child could bring them all together. Naomi says a child was something they all wanted when they were kids, not now. Naomi goes on and on when Bill begins to stutter and pass out. Orphey Gene's: Ashley and Derek arrive and discuss running into Andre. He thinks it's cool that Andre helped her out. Ashley wonders if he and Andre are now bros. Derek thinks they should ask Andre to hang the next time they're with Jacob and Naomi. Just then, Leslie arrives and asks Ashley about Jan. Ashley says she isn't talking to Leslie nor is her mama all because of the fraud she perpetrated. Leslie tells Ashley she has everything wrong and simply wants to know how Laura is doing. Ashley says she would never break confidentiality to allow Leslie private information about Laura's case. Leslie thinks it's a shame how the Dupree's dictate a narrative. Ashley says, just in case, the hospital has changes all its protocols (really?). Derek promises Ashley isn't spreading gossip about her. Leslie says she is worried about being entrapped as she doesn't know what Kat Richardson is trying to do. Leslie goes on when Derek stands up and tells her to slow her roll (Of course it's Leslie who makes Derek and Ashley interesting and relevant). Leslie pretends to be taken by Derek standing up for his woman. She moves along saying she thought she had that once, but it was never her (Leslie manipulating Derek could be fun). Ashley says if Leslie turns herself in, they might go easy on her. Leslie ignores Ashley (giggle) and says if she needs more info she knows where to find her. Fairmont Country Club: Tomas and Kat take a seat. She tells him about Leslie's threat to sue, and he says it won't stick. She can't claim defamation if what she says was the truth. Tomas is surprised she came to him as she has Naomi to consult. Kat says she didn't want to put her cousin in a particular situation seeing that Jacob is moving so slowly. Tomas explains there are all kinds of reasons why charges haven't been filed. Kat says she listens to all kinds of podcasts and knows she has provided Jacob with enough evidence to lock Leslie up. Tomas totally agrees… with Jacob. Kat inquires and Tomas tries to explain how actual means, motive and opportunity works. Kat gets frustrated but Tomas drives it home that this is how things work in the court system. Kat asks Tomas to not tell Bill anything they've discussed. He doesn't respond and says they should step back and let Jacob finish the investigation. Kat says she needs to find a way to stop Leslie and Eva. Dani's Place: Andre arrives to find Dani a little hot about turning her down the last time. She admits what happened with Hayley is likely coloring their interaction. She thinks a fake pregnancy is going to get his attention. To illustrate her point, Dani talks about all the nice things Bill did when she was pregnant. Andre understands immediately that Dani doesn't want to share those memories and quickly makes his way to leave. He thinks she should spend more time paying attention to the man in front of her who actually gives a damn. Andre takes a seat and says he never saw her coming – being over her, under her, TASTING HER (YASSSS!) and hearing her. Every time he's with Dani it's new. Dani questions him ghosting her for days. Andre gets it saying his trip home was supposed to be brief but he's been enticed to stick around. He's changing into a guy who is ready to move on from no-strings. Dani questions his recent actions and Andre is at a complete loss. They go back and forth before Dani rightfully says that Andre has another woman on a string. Andre pushes her questions away leading Dani to say she isn't ready for a full-on, in public relationship. She thinks they are a sad pair as friends with benefits whose hearts are partially taken by others who don't want them. Andre says she is important to him, and he thinks he is good for her. With that, they kiss and hit the couch. Previous Beyond The Gates Recap: Endings Naomi and Hayley go to Bill, and he stutters over the word, 'humiliate.' Hayley tries to get him to drink water, but he's done with their attention. They both talk about his hand going to sleep but then he starts stammering again. Anita continues to read Barbara's letter as she notes Dante said her voice was 'too ghetto' and there was no fixing it. Dante fired her and when she came to Anita, she was cold and distant. As Barbara narrates Anita's cruel words, she says them out loud as she seems to remember them from memory or at least from having read the letter 50-11 times. As she finishes reciting the letter, we learn that if Anita is reading her words Barbara is already dead. With that, Anita breaks down into hysterical tears. Beyond The Gates Recap: Martin Goes OFF on Bill

Beyond The Gates Recap: Martin Goes OFF on Bill originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Beyond The Gates recap: Fairmont Country Club – Dining Room: Hayley tells Chelsea she understands why she wants her parents to reconcile. Chelsea gets all kinds of snarky asking how she would know as she is an orphan (damn!). Hayley thinks it's time to set the record straight since a new little Hamilton is on the way. Bill confirms saying there is no way in hell he's returning to Dani. With that, Chelsea storms off. Hayley apologizes for being rough with Chelsea, but Bill gets it. Just then, Martin arrives and says he has business to discuss with Bill. Hayley says she needs to check her voicemails and gives Bill and Martin some space to talk. Bill rightfully guesses Martin is confronting him about his chat with Smitty and asks if there is trouble in 'pride paradise.' (Oh Bill…) Martin can't believe he engaged Smitty as he is a reporter who is trained to ask questions. He reminds Martin he is no position to push someone who knows what he knows. Martin wants to understand why Bill would dangle his huge sin in front of Smitty in the way he did. Bill says he's not trying to send any particular message, only a reminder that someday they might have a connection which could be mutually beneficial. Bill says Vernon and Anita know his services come with a price. He never wants Martin to forget how he cleaned up his mess that night and made his life right again. Fairmont Country Club – Lobby: Hayley takes a seat to check her voicemails when Naomi and Jacob arrive, fresh from playing basketball. Naomi spots Hayley and approaches. Hayley says she is there with Bill as they are celebrating. Naomi walks away and Hayley wonders why her former friend isn't asking why. Hayley reminds her former friend they used to tell each other everything. Naomi says their friendship expired when Hayley decided her dad was a better catch than her best friend. Hayley says Naomi isn't being fair and misses her best friend but Naomi isn't on the same page and decides it's time to go (good moment there when Hayley looks genuinely hurt that she can't share good news with her former friend). Bill says they are done and tells him to stand down. Just then, Hayley re-enters the room and says Martin should join them for a drink. Bill says Martin is done and leaving but before he leaves, he makes mention of Hayley's pregnancy. Martin turns around and starts a slow clap and declares Bill the crown prince of moral bankruptcy. He turns to Hayley saying he might have done something horrendous one night, but her husband continues to use it as a business opportunity. As everyone looks on, Bill reminds Martin to mind his surroundings. Martin tells Hayley he thinks her husband is worried about his reputation as folks might finally see him for the vulture he is. He tells her not to ignore the great Bill Hamilton and lists his sins one by one, including her as his side piece. Hayley thinks they should go and Martin says she should run screaming as that child should be protected before it turns into an arrogant bastard like its father. With that, Bill stands up and chokes the ever-loving fire out of Martin. Suddenly, Martin makes his apologies to Hayley and exits (Wait, I'm very confused. Was that all a fantasy sequence? What just happened?). As Martin exits, the wait staff man grabs his phone and follows. Hayley says sometimes Bill scares her and he admits he often scares himself. Bill reminds Hayley of times he helped the Dupree family, including when he helped Ted with his problematic girlfriend (From a continuity perspective, didn't Hayley just learn this information?). Hayley immediately remembers the situation and wonders whether to refer to that particular woman as Dana or Leslie. Bill tells her to let go of all that mess and focus on the new Hamilton baby. Martin and Smitty's Place: Jessica and Tyrell continue to kiss when Samantha walks in and quickly exits. For some reason, he apologizes to Jessica and gets up. He says he thought he took advantage of her when Jessica reminds him that she kissed him. She tries to grab his hand and Tyrell pulls away. Jessica admits she's experiencing all kinds of anxiety and wants to know what's up. He thinks Jessica simply feels sorry for him after all the trauma he experienced at school. Tyrell thinks girls like him don't usually come around him and thinks there must be another reason for her interest. Samantha has her laundry and TIDE in a basket as she listens in on the conversation between her brother and his not girlfriend. Tyrell explains he's never had rizz as he is very much the opposite. He says he doesn't understand why she's with him and and this point she doesn't either. Tyrell asks if she's playing a social media prank and that's the last straw. Jessica says she is done and apologizes for catching feelings for someone but now realizes he is simply toxic insecure trash. As she gathers her stuff and exits, Smitty walks in. Smitty questions the situation, but Tyrell has nothing to say. Just then, Samantha returns and asks where Jessica went. Smitty said she couldn't leave fast enough but has no clue what's going on. Tyrell becomes a complete ass before heading upstairs, leaving his father and sister to wonder what in the world is happening. Orphey Gene's: Derek and Ashley take a seat, and he wonders why they chose this particular place for their date. She says this place is where they finally decided to fix their relationship. They chat about a possible sleepover and get a wee snarky about their previous living arrangement. With that, Derek pulls out her house key and slides it across the table. Ashley knows they need to work through some things but is still surprised he surrendered his key. She sends it back his way and makes another reference to her 'neat and tidy' apartment. She confronts him and Derek says he's making fun of himself and loves her standards. He just hates he keeps disappointing her. Ashley is willing to admit she's a bit controlling but thinks they should want more than living apart. They join hands and Derek says happiness looks different for different folks. Just then, Naomi and Jacob arrive on the scene. Ashley and Derek tell their friends they've decided they love each other too much to live together. Naomi and Jacob seem to be very happy that Derek and Ashley are back on good terms without actually asking any questions. Naomi makes note Ashley and Derek should have been around when she and Jacob tried to blend households. Jacob has no clue about what she is speaking but Derek and Ashley kind of get it. With that, Naomi admits she had huge growing pains when she moved in with Jacob… even though he didn't quite understand the situation in the same way. Ashley sides with Naomi whilst Derek puts his money on Naomi. Jacob heads off to field a call and promises to wait for Kat until she gets there. At the table, Naomi talks to Ashley and Derek about June and how she collapsed at the table. They are all amazed to realize her back story was completely ripped from the headlines. With that, Naomi, Derek and Ashley decide it's time to go. Jacob tells Naomi he has to stick around, and they all make their exit. Dani's Home: Chelsea arrives, and Dani says she was about to call her. Before Chelsea can talk, Dani begins to talk about a social influencer who wants to work with her. After he saw her scene at Bill and Hayley's wedding, he wants to work with a 'shotgun wedding' momentum. Chelsea tries again to speak but Dani continues saying she would love to profit from her ex-husband's momentum. Chelsea finally grabs a moment to speak and asks her mother to take a seat. Dani keeps talking over her daughter when Chelsea is finally able to say Hayley is pregnant. Dani is somewhat surprised but calms it by saying she guesses Chelsea and Naomi will now be big sisters. Chelsea is surprised her mother didn't lose her s*** but Dani says she has to find a way to cope. Chelsea appreciates her mother's calm but notes she wasn't quite so reasonable when she heard the news. Dani says it makes total sense they are pregnant and fits the mold for Bill and Hayley's relationship. Dani suddenly gets less calm and wonders if Hayley has a side piece and utilized his vital sperm when she was ovulating (Not Dani saying Hayley couldn't possibly have cultivated a taste for AARP!). Dani looks online and is surprised not to see an announcement about the pregnancy. Chelsea notes she just told her father, but Dani says Hayley has been planning this moment for a while and would have planned this roll out very far in advanced. She halts her thought process and Chelsea wonders what's up. Dani thinks it's a possibility that Hayley is completely faking this pregnancy. As Dani loses her s***, Chelsea freaks out more and more at her mother's reaction. Dani pulls out her good liquor in an attempt to toast the happy couple. Chelsea wants to rewind to when she wasn't buying the pregnancy story. She wonders what Hayley would gain by faking such a thing. Dani thinks she's only trying to gain sympathy which works brilliantly in some place like Fairmont Crest. Chelsea asks if her mother actually thinks Hayley is lying or if she just can't deal with the possibility of a new Hamilton baby. Martin and Smitty's Place – Living Room: Martin arrives home to find Smitty, once again, awaiting his arrival. Martin asks about the kids and Smitty says they're ok and briefly mentions Tyrell and Jessica. Martin is dismissive and says Smitty will clearly get to the bottom of things. Smitty understands Martin hunted down Bill because he knows how his mind works. Previous Beyond The Gates Recap: Endings Tyrell is playing chess on his phone when Samantha arrives to ask about Jessica. She reminds her brother to have more confidence in himself. They get snarky with one another before exchanging I love yous. Smitty thinks confronting Bill is a lot of trouble to go through when he could just come clean. Martin thinks Bill wants to make a fool of him. He explains he made a scene at the country club but undersells the entire situation. Martin goes on to say Bill was distracted because Hayley is pregnant. Bill and Hayley arrive home. He exits to take care of business, which is when Dani arrives, asking about the happy mother to be. Beyond The Gates Recap: Leslie Puts Her Full Insanity on Display

Beyond The Gates Recap: Leslie Puts Her Full Insanity on Display originally appeared on Daytime Confidential. On today's Beyond The Gates recap: Bill and Hayley's Place: Dani congratulates Hayley on her pregnancy. She knows Bill loves babies and must be happy as he will now have two in his household. She refers to Hayley's pregnancy as 'the imaginary baby in her belly.' Hayley and Dani snark back and forth for a bit. Dani thinks Hayley isn't really pregnant. Hayley can't believe Dani is so petty to be jealous of an unborn child. Dani says she's only shining a light on Hayley's latest deception. Hayley says Dani's words are as empty as she is. She says if Dani keeps getting in her face she will make sure she regrets ever crossing her. Dani thinks she's threatening her. Bill walks in and says he is and tells her to be careful what she says to Hayley. Dani comes right out and tells Bill she thinks the baby is a figment of Hayley's imagination. Hayley admits Dani is right as there is no child and she is not pregnant. Only Dani, in her infinite wisdom, was brilliant enough to sus out her dark, devious intentions. Dani rolls her eyes and Bill smiles at his wife's cutting sarcasm. Dani gets all kinds of loud and says Hayley's deception is brilliant as now she has an out when it's proven no baby actually exists. Hayley counters saying she's never seen anyone with a more devious mind than hers. Dani says she is a Dupree and she is only a wannabe who will always be an outsider behind the gates of Fairmont Crest. Bill stops Dani but Hayley says she can fight her own battles. With that, Hayley says it's getting late and tells Dani to find her way out. Before she leaves, Dani says she knows what she knows. Bill pulls Hayley into a hug, and she dissolves in tears. Hayley promises she is pregnant and would never lie about something so important. Bill is impressed by how fierce she was in standing up to his ex-wife. He says Hayley is his wife and is above all others. Bill says they knew Dani would be a constant thorn in their side. Hayley is unwilling to be run out of Fairmont Crest. Ted's Hotel Room: Ted gets a text from Kat saying she will come by later. Just then, Leslie arrives in a brand new, long, luxurious wig! Leslie begins to cause a scene which leads him to invite her in. She makes note about they're history in hotel rooms when Ted's arms were wrapped all around her. Leslie gets to the point and says she dropped by to thank him for getting Eva a chair at that posh salon. Ted receives her thanks and tells her to go. Leslie doesn't listen, takes a seat and asks for a gin and tonic. Leslie lies to Ted and says Eva asked her if they might ever reunite. Ted says to assure Eva they will never get back together. Leslie says it's time for them to work together to parent their daughter to help her make major life decisions. Ted gets how Eva needs guidance but can't see working together to make decisions. Leslie gets why Ted feels the way he does in the same way Nicole does about him. They agree that punishing folks for their sins does not help with the children. Leslie asks if they can forgive each other for Eva's sake. Leslie pours Ted a beer and asks him to sit down and relax. Ted asks when Eva asked about them getting back together. Ted does as he was told and takes a seat. Leslie explains her late husband Alan was a means to an end after she endured all of Bill's threats. Alan gave her and Eva a life that was safe and secure. Ted asks if Alan was unkind to Eva and Leslie says he was dismissive and she was very lonely. Eva built up an idea of her night in shining armor daddy who would return to save them. Leslie admits she missed Ted and then asks if she's making up the feelings she experienced. Ted says he owes her an apology as they met at a difficult time in his life. He regrets having given her hope. That being said, Nicole is the woman he loves and will always have his heart. Ted says Nicole did nothing wrong and he is living apart from his wife because of Leslie (Really? Seriously?). Ted yells at her to stop embellishing their relationship but Leslie says she is only repeating every word he said to her. Ted just wants her to stop (without admitting any fault of his own). Ted asks Leslie to leave, and she grabs her purse. Leslie realizes he doesn't care about her but hopes he cares about their daughter. Ted says he is committed to making up for the years they lost. She tries to stroke his cheek, but Ted grabs her hand. Just then, Kat walks in. Leslie plays up EVERYTHING trying to make it look like Kat caught them in a moment. Ted says he was trying to get Leslie gone but Kat thinks she walked in on her father having a moment with his mistress. With that, Leslie calls Ted 'lover boy' calls Kat a 'brat' and makes her exit. Kat can't believe her father would allow himself to be alone in a room with that horrible woman. Orphey Gene's: Joey checks in with Doug, who wonders why he's being offered the chance to win back the money he owes him. He's seen Joey with his wife and it looks like Joey wants to take what's his. Joey thinks he is finally using his brains to analyze the situation. Vanessa walks in as Doug confirms he will attend the poker game. Uptown: Joey and Vanessa meet up and he asks if he can interest her in gambling at his casino. Vanessa agrees and says she is always up for testing her luck. Orphey Gene's: Kat arrives to see Jacob and says they can't let Eva and Jacob get away with what they did. She shows him some CCTV video from the hospital saying she believes it's proof Leslie pretended to be a nurse and poisoned Laura. Jacob says they need proof the woman is Leslie and to be able to verify the legitimacy of the footage. Kat says she got it from Andre as he is doing a documentary about the nurses. Kat shows Andre the time stamp which coincides with Laura's spike in potassium and is also the same day Shanice saw the random nurse from Provident Hospital. Jacob says he followed up and no one from Provident had any information about the nurse who supposedly transferred. Just then, Mona arrives. Jacob says they need Mona to try and identify the person who was sneaking into Laura's hospital room the night her potassium spiked. She reviews the video and Kat blows the identification by saying she thinks the woman is Leslie. Now that she knows who she is looking for she thinks it must be Leslie but isn't certain. Jacob pushes Mona to ID the nurse. Mona looks at Kat and says maybe. She notes she is not friends with Leslie anymore and owes her no loyalty. She's just not 100% certain Leslie was the woman in the video. Just then, Kat says she needs to go see her father. Kat apologizes for being so pushy with Mona. She thanks Kat for helping to look for the person who hurt Laura. They say their good nights and Kat exits. Jacob asks Mona if she has more to share. Mona says she knows Leslie sang in her church's choir and befriended her and Jan with the hope of learning more information about Ted and Nicole. That being said, she must be honest. Mona would love to identify Leslie as the woman in the video but doesn't want to lie. Jacob appreciates her honesty and says he might call on her again. As Mona exits, she says if he questions Leslie he should remember, if her lips are moving, she's probably lying. Joey's Gambling Pit: Joey and Vanessa arrive and he asks Drake to deal Vanessa in. Vanessa asks Joey to explain the game to her, just as Doug peaks his head in the door. Vanessa begins to win and she wonders if Joey rigged the game. She wonders if Joey has a different game in mind. Vanessa thinks there is a much better use for the poker table. With that, Joey sends everyone away and tells the dealer to lock the door. Dani randomly walks into Joey's gambling pit but a staff member says they are closed. Dani uses the Dupree name and he runs to get her a drink. She sits and looks at baby pictures of Chelsea and Naomi whilst reviewing her encounter with Hayley and Bill. The staff member delivers her drink and Dani says she will need another. Previous Beyond The Gates Recap: Endings Bill asks Hayley what her pregnancy means for their sex life. Hayley says pregnant women are often more aroused than usual. In addition, consistent sex can be healthy for the pregnancy. With that, she jumps on top of her husband. Doug walks into the room in which Dani is drinking. She asks the wait staff to make another exception and another drink for her friend. Dani says Doug looks like hell and he says it's exactly how he feels. With that, they toast. Joey turns on some sexy lights and pushes all the chips off the poker table. They begin to undress each other and get to hunching. Kat says her father is the one destroying their family and thinks he wants to be with Leslie. She tries to exit but Ted asks her to stay. Kat says she is done for the day but thinks Leslie will be all to happy to keep him company. Leslie returns home and looks in her magic mirror. She calls herself a rockstar for calling all this amazing chaos. She thinks God's universe has been so good to her and declares herself Leslie Victorious and appreciates the adoration of her non-existent fans.
