A post on Tej Pratap's social media account shows him seated on a beach, meditating with his eyes closed. He is wearing a black cap and a Rudraksh rosary around his neck. In his caption, he writes, "Peace is an essential part of life. We constantly seek it, for without peace, our lives can descend into chaos." He adds, "Through meditation and self-reflection, we gain a deeper understanding of our thoughts and emotions, leading to a greater sense of fulfilment and happiness.
"
In a pinned thread on his social media page, he is seen holding a Shivlinga while a sadhu pours water over it. "Mahadev is the symbol of ultimate truth. To embrace Mahadev is to embrace the deepest, most profound aspect of ourselves. To find peace in the midst of chaos is to find Mahadev," he writes. The location of the temple is not specified. Earlier this month, he had spoken about offering his services during heightened tensions between India and Pakistan.
Meanwhile, Tejashwi has been conducting outreach programmes ahead of the upcoming assembly elections. He has visited several districts including Bhagalpur, Nawada, Nalanda, Saran and Siwan to meet the families of soldiers who died during recent military operations.
On Thursday evening, he visited Bhagalpur to offer condolences to the family of Army jawan Santosh Yadav. According to reports, while his widow initially refused financial assistance, she later accepted it following repeated requests from Tejashwi.
He also visited Banka district, where a 20-year-old Dalit woman was allegedly raped and murdered. There too, Tejashwi provided financial help to the victim's family, as confirmed by a post on his social media account.

J&K: Soldier killed in Uri as Army foils LoC infiltration bid; Chinar Corps expressed 'deepest condolences'
SRINAGAR: Havildar Ankit Kumar of 9 Bihar Regiment was killed early Wednesday while fighting armed intruders near the Loc in Uri sector of north Kashmir's Baramulla district — the third Army fatality in five days in counterterrorism operations, raising the year's security death toll in J&K to 17. Tired of too many ads? go ad free now Army's 15 Corps, or Chinar Corps, confirmed on social media the death of Kumar, 35, and expressed 'deepest condolences' to the bereaved family. Sources said the infiltration bid was foiled, but the intruders exploited poor visibility and monsoon rain to retreat into PoK. It was the first such attempt in Uri since Operation Sindoor in early May when heavy Pakistani firing and shelling followed India's destruction of terrorist infrastructure in PoK and Pakistan after the April 22 Pahalgam massacre that left 22 people dead, most of them tourists. 'This is clear proof that old patterns of infiltration attempts backed by Pakistan will persist,' said Luv Puri, former UN counterterrorism official and Kashmir analyst. 'In the current climate where renewed US-Pakistan engagement is being discussed, the purpose of the infiltration attempt seems to be to signal that nothing has changed and that shifting geopolitical winds may only have emboldened them to make this point. ' The Uri clash came a day after the Army ended an 11-day offensive in south Kashmir's Kulgam district, where two soldiers — Lance Naik Pritpal Singh and Sepoy Harminder Singh of 19 Rashtriya Rifles — were killed and 10 personnel wounded before a terrorist was shot dead. Of the 17 security personnel killed in J&K operations this year, four have died in Kashmir and 13 in Jammu division. Security forces have killed 14 terrorists in Kashmir so far in 2025, among them three top Lashkar-e-Taiba operatives linked to the Pahalgam attack, gunned down in Srinagar on July 28. On Monday, soldier Banoth Anil Kumar died after falling into a deep gorge during a routine patrol near the LoC in Uri sector. He was from Telangana.

BJP defends Gujarat neta's voter registration in Patna
Patna: BJP on Wednesday reacted sharply to the RJD's allegations that the ruling party is trying to use Election Commission (EC) to influence the coming assembly elections. RJD leader Tejashwi Prasad Yadav on Wednesday also questioned how a BJP leader from Gujarat, Bhikhubhai Dalsania, has become a voter in Patna. BJP MP Sanjay Jaiswal said Dalsania, the party's general secretary, has been working as its in charge of Bihar in Patna for the last three years since Sept 9, 2022. "Dalsania has got his name removed from the voter list in his previous place and added to the voter list here, which is in accordance with the rules," Jaiswal said. Union minister of state for home, Nityanand Rai, took a swipe at the RJD and Congress for raising questions while opposing the ongoing voter rolls revision in Bihar. On Tejashwi questioning Dalsania's credentials, Rai said, "There is no difference between Gujarat and Bihar for Dalsania. He has given his entire life to serve the country. When Bihar was made his work area, he got his name registered in the voter list here in 2024," he said. BJP OBC Morcha national general secretary Nikhil Anand said Tejashwi is targeting someone else due to restlessness somewhere else. "The way lakhs of Rohingyas and Bangladeshis were invited to settle and become citizens in Bihar during the Lalu-Rabri regime has changed the demography and politics of Bihar. Now when they have been removed from the voter list, the so-called secular people are in trouble," Nikhil said. Stay updated with the latest local news from your city on Times of India (TOI).
