Massive response for ‘Mothevari Love Story' mega preview; set for Aug 8 premiere
Set in Arepalli village, the story follows Parshi (played by YouTube star Anil Geela), who falls for a girl from a neighbouring village. What begins as innocent love soon spirals into a land dispute involving two elderly men, triggering a chain of emotional and comic events.
The series features Varshini as the female lead, alongside Muralidhar, Sadanna, Sujatha, and others. Produced by Madhura Sreedhar and Sriram Srikanth, with music by Charan Arjun and cinematography by Sreekanth Arupula, the project is deeply collaborative—carried forward by a team of passionate newcomers and homegrown talent.
At a special screening event in Hyderabad, the first four episodes were previewed to an enthusiastic response. Chief guest and philanthropist Kandakatla Siddu Reddy praised the show, saying, 'It doesn't feel like a web series—it feels like cinema.'
With seven episodes launching this week, Mothevari Love Story is not just a slice-of-life romance but a landmark in regional storytelling—bringing local dialects, traditions, and talent to centre stage on a national OTT platform.

His words, "She is an ordinary person, and I am considering marriage as well," invited surprise about the YouTuber's confident plans for his future, earning praise. Not going into the details, KwakTube spoke about his lady love with admiration, sharing how she understands the nature of his work, which requires him to be overseas for an extended period of time and that he does not work on a fixed schedule. Embracing coding and culture: The humanities find a home in IITs
These shifts raise more fundamental questions. What do we mean by 'valuable' knowledge? Who has the privilege to decide what counts as literature, or art, or insight? For instance, take the Nobel Prize in Literature. When Dario Fo, the Italian playwright, won in 1997, and Bob Dylan in 2016, many critics baulked. They were not 'real' writers, some argued. While others saw it differently. After all, Fo and Dylan were both storytellers in a more encompassing way. Their stories were never supposed to just be read; they were meant to be heard, felt, and performed, like the epics of Homer and Kalidasa, the plays of Shakespeare. Maybe this was a return to the roots of literature. This very rethinking is happening in the humanities classrooms of IITs. Scholars are not only analysing printed texts; they are exploring how Instagram captions and hashtags shape public discourse; how digital platforms like YouTube, Facebook become the repository of language, art, and practice, indigenous or otherwise; or how algorithms control what we read, and how digital archives are reshaping our cultural memory. Discussing interdisciplinarity is much easier than doing it. Conventionally, research funding happened horizontally, but now momentum is building towards the diagonal, raising the question: what role should academics (and academic institutions) play in an evolving world characterised by technological acceleration and cultural upheaval? For decades, STEM disciplines were measured by quantifiable outputs: patents, products, and market impact. But that feels increasingly small in the wake of climate change, AI ethics, and social disconnection. Hence, the questions we face today are not only scientific; they are also social, cultural, and moral. What is emerging within these IITs is a conscious reframing for seeing code and computation in the larger context of history, ethics, language, and social practice. As India endeavours to establish itself as a globally relevant knowledge hub, this interdisciplinary current that is developing within the IITs is likely to be one of its greatest assets beyond metadata and computation. These institutions are not only edifying engineers and scientists but also training the next wave of thinkers who will grapple with the ethical, social, and political implications of their work. The growth of interdisciplinary research in the IITs will not simply depend on institutional changes, but is contingent upon the gradual shift in academic outlook and engagement. Moving in this direction will require institutional and intellectual courage to move beyond the comforts and legacy of established models, and seek a more inclusive, responsive way of 'knowing.' The company's legal complaint, which was revealed by the content creator known as "Schlep," has reportedly sparked outrage among users. In a letter shared on the social media platform X (formerly Twitter), Schlep showed Roblox lawyers claiming that the YouTuber violated the company's rules by engaging in "simulated child endangerment" and sharing personal information, arguing that these actions bypassed the platform's official moderation channels. Schlep, a self-described 'predator hunter' with more than 767,000 YouTube subscribers, had all of his related Roblox accounts permanently banned amid his dispute with the company. What Roblox said about removing vigilante groups from the game In a recently released statement, without explicitly naming Schlep, Roblox explained why it removed vigilante groups from the platform. 'While seemingly well-intentioned, the vigilantes we've banned have taken actions that are both unacceptable and create an unsafe environment for users. A petition urging Baszucki to 'fix what he's caused or resign' recently had over 48,000 signatures, while a related YouTube video surpassed 1.2 million views. Responding to his removal from the game, Schlep, who says his investigations resulted in six arrests of people accused of trying to groom minors on Roblox, accused the company of repeatedly disregarding evidence he and other vigilante streamers provided. In his video, Schlep also claimed that his motivation comes from personal experience, saying he was groomed as a child on the platform — an ordeal he says led to a suicide attempt.
