OPPO K13 Turbo series: Availability and offers
OPPO K13 Turbo is available for pre-booking. The smartphone will go on sale from August 18 through ecommerce platform Flipkart, OPPO India e-store, and select retail outlets.
In terms of optics, both smartphones include a 50MP primary sensor and a 2MP secondary lens at the rear, while the front features a 16MP Sony IMX480 camera for selfies and video calls. Furthermore, both devices house a large 7,000mAh battery with 80W wired fast charging support. It also allows for bypass charging.
The OPPO K13 Turbo series features a built-in AI Editor with tools, including AI Clarity, AI Eraser, AI Unblur, and AI Reflection Remover. The OPPO K13 Turbo Series runs on Android 15-based ColorOS 15. The smartphones also feature an upgraded AI Game Assistant with a new Gaming Camera for instant screenshots, in-game photo capture, and one-click 30-second replays. Both smartphones will get two years of OS updates and three years of security updates.
For work, the K13 Turbo series features AI Voice that offers smart document summaries and more, along with real-time AI call translation in multiple languages.

OPPO has launched the Enco Buds 3 Pro alongside the K13 Turbo Series, offering up to 54 hours of playback (twelve hours per charge) with Hyper Durable Battery tech and TUV Rheinland Battery Health certification. The company said that a 12.4mm titanium-plated driver delivers rich, balanced sound, while the Enco Master EQ allows custom tuning.
The buds feature 47ms low latency, Bluetooth 5.4, Dual Connection, and Google Fast Pair support. It also gets an IP55 rating for dust and water resistance.

Centre green-lights semiconductor facility expansion in Mohali
Mohali: The Union cabinet, chaired by Prime Minister Narendra Modi, has approved four new semiconductor projects under the India Semiconductor Mission (ISM), including the expansion of an existing facility in Mohali. With six projects already under way, these new approvals — SiCSem, Continental Device India Pvt Ltd (CDIL), 3D Glass Solutions Inc., and Advanced System in Package (ASIP) technologies — will bring cumulative investments of Rs 4,600 crore and create more than 2,000 skilled jobs. This takes the total approved projects under ISM to 10, with investments of Rs 1.60 lakh crore across six states. In Mohali, CDIL will expand its discrete semiconductor manufacturing facility to produce high-power devices such as MOSFETs, IGBTs, Schottky Barrier Diodes, and transistors using silicon and silicon carbide technologies. The upgraded plant will have an annual capacity of 158.38 million units, serving sectors like automotive electronics (including EVs), renewable energy, power conversion, industrial applications, and communication infrastructure. "The Punjab unit of BJP thanked the PM for approving the expansion of a discrete semiconductor manufacturing facility in Mohali," Ashwani Sharma, party's working president, said in a press release. This AI robot dog is teaching kindness towards animals on streets of Mexico
At a time when treatment towards animals is a hot topic in India, following the Supreme Court's order to remove all the stray dogs in Delhi-NCR from the streets to shelters, a robot dog in Mexico is spreading the message of compassion and co-existence. Meet Waldog, an AI-powered robot making the rounds in the northern city of Monterrey, Mexico to raise awareness about animal abuse and welfare. Waldo is the brainchild of Mexican Senator form Monterrey, Waldo Fernández González, who spent $4,084 (Rs 3.5 lakhs) of his own money and also named the robotic dog after him. Fernandez, a self-professed animal activist, told Reuters that Waldog seeks to encourage kindness and responsibility toward animals and humans alike. Waldog who is about the size of a beagle and initiates conversations with children and adults about animal rights.
