Soccer Aid star Angry Ginge mocks Carlos Tevez with hilarious chant - after labelling former footballer a 't***' for horror tackle which gashed his leg

Daily Mail6 hours ago

Soccer Aid star Angry Ginge ridiculed Carlos Tevez with a mocking chant after their hot-blooded clash at Old Trafford on Sunday.
Ginge, a streamer whose real name is Morgan Burtwistle, is a lifelong Manchester United fan and previously said he 'can't stand' Tevez.
Tevez, 41, famously joined Manchester City in 2009 after two years on loan at United - and helped the Sky Blues their first Premier League title.
And despite the feel-good charity nature of Soccer Aid, there was bad blood at the game as the duo were involved in a vicious challenge.
With the game poised at 4-4 in the latter stages, Angry Ginge went in for a strong slide tackle on the Argentinian, who made sure to leave something on him during the collision - a nasty cut on his leg.
Angry Ginge shared a photo of the gash on his leg afterwards, writing 'cheers Tevez, t***' on social media, but he was not done there.
The streamer went in for an uncompromising challenge on the former Argentina striker
Taking to Twitch, he bragged about his programme had been signed by other Soccer Aid favourites, before launching into a re-imagination of 'Zombie' by the Cranberries.
'In your head, in your head, Tevez, Tevez, Tevez-ez-ez, I'm in your head, in your head, Tevez, Tevez, Tevez-ez-ez,' the 23-year-old sang.
But in a moment of humility, he added: 'I will be honest, he did score four.'
Tevez was dominant on the night, scoring four times in 15 minutes as the World XI edged out England 5-4.
Tevez was booed by the crowd after each of them but his efforts levelled the game, allowing Big Zuu to score a late winner for a 5-4 triumph.
Earlier, Tevez appeared to revel in the role of pantomime villain as he responded to the boos by cupping his ear and showing the crowd the back of his shirt.
Wayne Rooney had earlier opened the scoring in front of the Stretford End, before ex-Lionesses star Toni Duggan doubled the home side's lead.
Jermain Defoe put England 3-0 up before Tevez clawed two back in a thrilling second half, but we weren't done there.
Defoe bagged his second to give the hosts a 4-2 advantage, only for Tevez to strike twice more before rapper Big Zuu scored the winner for the visitors.
Tevez may have scored four and owned the second half but it was Ginge who was named player of the match for his tireless defensive work.
Twenty minutes into the game, he produced a stunning goal-line clearance, David Trezeguet thought he'd levelled the score - following an opening goal from Rooney - after lifting the ball over Joe Hart.
However, internet star 'Ginge' - real name Morgan Burtwhistle - came to the rescue as he dived across the goal and poked the ball away from goal.
Burtwhistle immediately rose to his feet and pumped his fists in the air towards the crowd at Old Trafford.

Alexander-Arnold aims subtle Liverpool dig as he reveals Real Madrid difference

Trent Alexander-Arnold has raved about his new environment at Real Madrid as he hailed his new colleagues after choosing to leave Liverpool when his contract expired Trent Alexander-Arnold claims his early days as a Real Madrid player are "a lot different to what I'm used to" as he hailed the quality of his new team-mates. The right-back has just joined from Liverpool as he embarks on a fresh challenge. Alexander-Arnold has linked up with his new team for a small fee ahead of time so he can play for Real in the Club World Cup. The former Red has forged a reputation as among the best players in his position in the world and is looking to acclimatise to a new environment. ‌ He's left the Premier League champions and joined a team who, despite their poor season, were winning the Champions League just over a year ago. He's now rubbing shoulders with the likes of Jude Bellingham, Kylian Mbappe and Vinicius Jnr. ‌ Liverpool themselves were not short of star names with Mohamed Salah their headline act, but Alexander-Arnold is now getting used to his new team-mates as he trains in the heat of the United States and gets to grips with a new philosophy. He told the club's website: "Hot to start with but a good session with some good things. [It was] good to get a feel of the ball and a feel of the heat training in this climate so it was a good session. "[It was] high quality. The ball moves very fast. Obviously it's a lot different to what I'm used to in terms of the players and the style of play but it's good and I'm enjoying the change and I'm enjoying being a part of it. It feels really good and I'm happy to be here to be honest." Alexander-Arnold's decision to quit Liverpool divided opinion as the player expressed a desire to seek a new challenge. Many in red were frustrated that he allowed his contract to wind down, meaning the club couldn't demand a big fee for him, as he was booed by some in the season's final games. Alexander-Arnold made headlines for speaking Spanish in his presentation as a Los Blancos player and has revealed he is able to communicate with his new team-mates in the language, but in an effort to make him feel welcome some are also chatting to him in English. "I can't say enough about the lads and how they made me feel welcome and at home," he said. "They've all put in a lot of effort, spoken to me, made me feel comfortable and made sure any questions I had - especially with the translations and things - they've helped me a lot with everything. I can't thank them enough and now we're excited for the game to start."

Man United given bold deadline to win Premier League by CEO Omar Berrada

Manchester United chief executive Omar Berrada has doubled down on his bold target, saying the club will win the Premier League title by 2028. Berrada also put pressure on United's women's team by insisting they can claim their first ever Women's Super League title by the same date. Ex-Man City chief operations officer Berrada first told staff of his "Project 150" vision in September last year and acknowledges that the goals are audacious, given the current state of the club. Ruben Amorim 's men's side having just endured a worst top-flight season since relegation in 1973-74 as they finished 15th and, while the women's side came third in the WSL to seal Champions League qualification, the league has been won by a dominant Chelsea team for each of the last six years, with United 16 points behind the Blues this term. There are also off-pitch issues, with part-owner Sir Jim Ratcliffe continuing his cost-cutting measures with a second round of redundancies as 200 jobs look set to be lost. 2028 marks 150 years since the club was founded as Newton Heath in 1878, hence the target, but Berrada insists double title success is realistic. In an interview with the United We Stand fanzine to be published on Wednesday, je said: 'It's establishing a series of targets within a timeframe so we can focus our efforts and energy on that goal. "Can the team win the Premier League title by 2028? Of course. We've just finished 15th and it seems an impossible task. But why not aim for it? Why not do everything in our power? 'I firmly believe we can do it. We have two or three summer windows to build a team to start competing to win the Premier League.' In addition to finishing third in the WSL, United's women's team also lost in the FA Cup final to all-conquering Chelsea, while the men's dismal Premier League finish was compounded by a loss in the Europa League final to Tottenham. And while Berrada was shocked by the men's poor season, he's adamant Amorim is the right man to turn things round. 'We knew that by bringing in Ruben mid-season that it was going to be even more difficult for the team to perform,' Berrada added. 'We saw it as an investment for the following seasons, because we were going to give Ruben time to get to know the squad, the club, the Premier League. 'We have a very clear roadmap. Had Ruben started on 1 July 2025, we wouldn't have been able to have all that knowledge, right? And that's what I feel about these seven or eight months that he's had in the Premier League and what he's suffered in the Premier League. And the team has suffered. It's really going to help us in the future. 'I couldn't have said that we were going to finish 15th. That was never the goal. I think we probably underestimated the time it would have required the team to adjust to the system. But we don't regret the decision because I'm convinced that we'll see this pay off next season.'

Meghan warns ‘a lie can't live forever' and would ‘ask people to tell the truth'

The Duchess of Sussex has said she would 'ask people to tell the truth' if she was able to rewrite her public narrative from scratch. Meghan referred to a 'lie' told eight years ago, saying 'a lie can't live forever. Eight years is a long time, but not forever', in a new podcast interview. Enterpreneur Emma Grede asked Meghan on her Aspire podcast: 'I want to say this to you in the best way, because I wonder if you could rewrite your public narrative from scratch, is there anything that you would do differently?' Meghan replied calmly: 'Yes, I would ask people to tell the truth.' Grede, a founding partner of Kim Kardashian's shapewear brand Skims, said: 'You're very measured about it. I would just get so angry if I felt like everyone was lying about me all the time …' View this post on Instagram A post shared by ASPIRE WITH EMMA GREDE (@aspirewithemmagrede) Meghan said: 'Peaks and valleys… Of course, I've gone through those chapters and you do a lot of work, you do a lot of self work and go, what's the why? It's happening for a reason.' She added that her 'dear friend' tennis champion Serena Williams told her 'a lie can't live forever'. In her 2021 Oprah interview, Meghan said she could not be expected to stay silent if 'the Firm' 'is playing a part in perpetuating falsehoods' about her and Harry. She also publicly singled out Kate as having made her cry in the run-up to her wedding and said it was important for people to 'understand the truth'. Advertisement In the YouTube footage of the podcast, which was peppered with numerous ad breaks fronted by Grede, Meghan acknowleded her life now was 'very different' from when she was an actress. She also addressed her recent twerking video, which showed her dancing to the Baby Mama song in a bid to bring on labour with Princess Lilibet, describing it as a reminder of a 'real authentic fun life.' View this post on Instagram A post shared by Meghan, Duchess of Sussex (@meghan) The duchess said it felt liberating to back on social media where she can share things on her own terms. 'That wasn't yesterday. That was four years ago so it's also a really great reminder that with all the noise or whatever people do, there's still whole life, a real, authentic, fun life that's happening behind the scenes,' Meghan said.
