New favourite for huge Harry Potter role named after major cast update

They are currently the frontrunner after being cast for the same part in another series
A new favourite has emerged to be cast in a pivotal role for the forthcoming HBO Harry Potter series following a major cast update.

The majority of the main stars have already been unveiled for the new adaptation, including the rising young actors who will portray the eponymous character and his best mates Hermione Grainger and Ron Weasley.

They are already accompanied by renowned comic actors John Lithgow as Albus Dumbledore and Nick Frost as Hagrid. The studio has also announced its decision to cast Paapa Essiedu as Professor Severus Snape.

However, it remains unconfirmed who will play the series' antagonist, Lord Voldemort. A star from Marvel and Succession is now tipped to take on the part.
This follows casting news for a new audiobook series. Audible have disclosed that all the books will receive Full-Cast Audio Editions, reports the Mirror.

While previous Harry Potter novels were narrated by Stephen Fry, these new versions will feature a full roster of stars portraying each character.
This includes Matthew Macfadyen as Lord Voldemort, leading to speculation that he is the new favourite to also play the role for HBO. Other cast members include Hugh Laurie as Albus Dumbledore, Riz Ahmed as Professor Snape, Michelle Gomez as Professor McGonagall and Cush Jumbo as the narrator.
The speculation surrounding Macfadyen's potential casting in the television series, which could span a decade, comes as Arabella Stanton, the young actress set to play Hermione Granger in the HBO series, is also slated to voice the character in the first three instalments of the Audible audio series.

According to OBLG, the actor who portrayed Tom Wambsgans in HBO's hit drama series Succession is now even odds to also take on the role on screen, making him the current outright favourite.
However, he's not the only high-profile star in contention. Other Marvel stars, a former Doctor Who and an Oscar winner are also reportedly under consideration.
The current odds are:

Cillian Murphy is currently considered a long shot, following the Irish actor's recent Academy Award win for his performance in Oppenheimer. He recently received endorsement from Ralph Fiennes, who played the part in the films.
Speaking on a US chat show, Fiennes said: "Cillian is a fantastic actor. That's a wonderful suggestion. I would be all in favour of Cillian."
Interestingly, Fiennes only debuted as Voldemort from the fourth film when he is first seen in his true form, with Richard Bremmer portraying the character who must not be named when he is hiding on Professor Quirrel's head. Meanwhile, Murphy is also being tipped to be cast as the next James Bond villain.

Bonnie Blue and 'nervous' Ibiza Final Boss meet up as she makes wild confession

Bonnie Blue has flown over to the Spanish party island to meet viral raver Ibiza Final Boss after reaching out to him on Instagram and she has now revealed exactly what the encounter was like. Ibiza Final Boss has met up with controversial adult star Bonnie Blue after she flew out to Ibiza for a surprise visit. Geordie raver Jack Kay, who became an internet sensation overnight thanks to his distinctive haircut, had an awkward exchange with the sex star as he nervously hugged her during the unexpected meet up. ‌ Bonnie Blue, who has been booted off OnlyFans for her extreme content, is known to fly out to party hot spots to find men to sleep with and film for her work. Known for her rage-bait tactics, the 26-year-old was quick to jump on the opportunity to meet Jack, also 26, who had just launched his own single bragging:" Your bird listens to the Ibiza Final Boss ". ‌ The cringe clip shows Jack with his arm around Bonnie as he turns his head away from her. Another moment shows the duo awkwardly making conversation, standing noticeably far away from each other. ‌ Following their painful encounter, Bonnie said in a now-deleted clip: "It was my shortest video yet. I was shocked how nervous he was." The bizarre meet up comes after Bonnie sparked fury from Jack's followers when she sent him a cheeky message over the weekend, following reports that his girlfriend had dumped him over his partying ways, the Mirror reports. Making the most of his viral fame, the Ibiza Final Boss posted a video of him in the Spanish party island with the caption: "The final boss can't be slayed… your misses on the other hand? Her levels been completed". Bonnie was seemingly desperate to also profit off of Jack's viral moment as she replied to his post with a suggestive eyes emoji. Jack's fans flooded the comments warning him to 'stay away' from the star, but it seems he didn't listen. ‌ Bonnie's surprise visit comes after reports that Jack's love life is in trouble. His glamorous girlfriend Alisha Cook reportedly dumped him on his first Ibiza trip, just days before he went viral. ‌ The Newcastle lad is now said to be fighting to save his relationship with the model and debt collector from Co Durham. Alisha was allegedly so angry with her boyfriend's antics in Ibiza that she broke up with him before videos of his haircut made him go viral. The couple have reportedly worked things out since, but a friend of Jack's warned he was 'skating on thin ice' over his party lifestyle. ‌ They told the Daily Mail: "Alisha called it off when Jack went to Ibiza with the lads. They'd been together for almost a year and he was living at her place but things hadn't been right for months. "His car is still on her drive, she threw all his clothes in the back of it. She doesn't want him around anymore. She's had inklings that something was not right for a while. She just wants to wash her hands of him. Alisha is so beautiful. No one is quite sure what she saw in him." Join the Daily Record WhatsApp community! Get the latest news sent straight to your messages by joining our WhatsApp community today. However, it appears Alisha had a quick change of heart as she's now publicly declared herself as Jack's girlfriend since he rose to internet stardom. In a series of TikTok videos captioned: "POV: ya boyfriend's now known as Ibiza Final Boss," Alisha is seen cosying up to Jack, including clips of him kissing her cheek and the two of them partying together. However, the video has since been made private and Alisha is yet to speak out following the video of Jack and Bonnie.

Inside huge shipyard building Disney cruise ships with cranes lifting 800-ton blocks

We got a sneak peek at the Meyer Weft shipyard where the Disney Destiny was being constructed including the huge cranes that can lift 800-ton blocks There's no denying that cruise ships are an impressive feat of engineering. ‌ Not only do they need to accommodate all of the passengers, activities and cabins, but they also need to act like a floating city with their own power plants, spaces for crew, engine rooms, plumbing, electricity and food supplies. ‌ This is something that Walt Disney Imagineering's Philip Gennotte reminded us as we got a rare behind-the-scenes tour of the Meyer Weft shipyard in Papenburg, Germany, ahead of the float out of Disney Cruise Line's newest ship Disney Destiny. ‌ I was lucky enough to be invited by Disney Cruise Line to take a rare peek behind the curtain, including a tour onboard the Disney Destiny while the interiors are still a construction site. READ MORE: Tiny underrated city 'just like Amsterdam' has pretty canals and no crowds The ship boasts a 144,000 gross tonnage and a capacity to hold up to 4,000 passengers, so it's not a quick job. Luckily, the Meyer Weft shipyard has been building these huge ships for decades. It takes around two years to get a ship fully built once construction kicks off, with the shipyard aiming to deliver around two to three ships every year. (However, it can be working on up to five or six ships at any given time). Armed with my hard hat and steel-toed boots, we headed into the main construction hall which, as you can imagine, was absolutely huge. After all, it has to be big enough to house both the cruise ship AND all of the construction machinery around it. We're talking cranes that can lift blocks weighing up to 800 tons - the equivalent of 400 cars. Throw in the fact that it takes about 100 of these blocks to build a ship, and suddenly it's clear as to why the whole process needs to be a well-oiled machine. Ships are actually built in these giant blocks and assembled like a puzzle. Cabins are pre-made, complete with the bedding, decor, artwork and fridge - with the process taking about 15 minutes to fit out each cabin, before they're lifted and slotted straight into the ship. Only the carpets are rolled up and the bed is installed in there to be pulled down. The benefit? No need for shipyard workers to have to carry all the furniture through narrow cruise corridors, and then assemble it all in each cabin. Considering Destiny has 1,250 cabins, it's a huge time saver. The Disney Destiny was in the dock ready for its float out when we toured the shipyard, but Genotte told us that as soon as a ship leaves, the dock is emptied of water, and the next ship that the shipyard is working on is brought in almost immediately so they can get on with finishing construction on the next project. ‌ While there we got a sneak peek onboard the Disney Destiny, including a peek at the cabins, the Marvel lounge inspired by the Sanctum from Dr Strange, and the Cruella De Vil inspired bar. Being onboard a ship that isn't finished yet was a very humbling experience. As passengers, we only see the finished products; the sleek cabins, the decorated restaurants, the gorgeous atriums with dazzling chandeliers and eye-catching features. ‌ Seeing the construction workers getting on with building doors, floors and bars, as well as organising the electrics and having work regularly inspected by Imagineers themselves to ensure it's got all of that all-important Disney magic was awe-inspiring to watch. It was also a little surreal - we were taken into a huge space where the electrics and floors were being finished, and told that we were standing in the middle of what will eventually be the ship's Lion King themed immersive restaurant. It was hard to picture the finished product, but the team's enthusiasm helped us picture the sort of experience that passengers will be able to enjoy. It made me appreciate all the more how much work goes into these incredible ships that we simply don't see. Although it's rare to be given the chance to step onboard a ship being constructed, if you did want to plan a trip including the shipyard, Meyer Weft does offer tours as part of its visitor centre. Not to mention that members of the public are able to come and watch big events such as ship float outs too.

Netflix boasts plenty of original shows and films for viewers to dive into, as well as classic blockbusters. Luke Eccleston has earned a solid reputation for his candid TV and film reviews, with a particular focus on Netflix. ‌ In his most recent TikTok video, he recommends an incredibly moving film that has just been added to the streaming giant's catalogue. ‌ Eccleston stated: "Forget about everything else on Netflix because this is the next film you need to watch. "It's a film everyone's gonna be talking about. It's a film that you definitely need to see as it is one of the most heartwrenching, gut punching, incredible stories you will ever see because it's actually true." The TV fan then shared that the film is titled The Iron Claw. It premiered in the UK in February last year and follows the journey of the Von Erich brothers as they carve out their legacy in the fiercely competitive world of professional wrestling during the early 1980s. ‌ Eccleston mentioned that when he watched The Iron Claw at the cinema he found it "genuinely unbelievable." Providing further information about the film, which holds an 89% rating on Rotten Tomatoes, he added: "It shows the competitiveness of wrestling and that whole entire world and how much it means to this family. ‌ "Now, even if you're not a fan of wrestling or sports at all, like me, this is a story everyone should hear." The TV and movie critic described it as "one of the best" true stories he has ever seen. Eccleston went on: "So make sure you get this film on your watch list. I actually beg you to check this one out." ‌ His TikTok clip has racked up 26y,600 views, 3,000 likes and more than 100 comments to date. One viewer, who has seen The Iron Claw, enthused: "That film is insane. I cannot believe it's true, it's amazing." Someone else who had seen the film was deeply touched, saying: "It's been on HBO part of their A24 collection btw! For anyone who has HBO. This movie broke me down and had me tearing on a plane. That ending." Sean Durkin, a Canadian-American film director and screenwriter, directed The Iron Claw. The movie's cast members include Zac Efron, Jeremy Allen White, Harris Dickinson, Lily James, Maura Tierney, Stanley Simons and Holt McCallany.
