SPRINGFIELD, Mo–Springfield was looking to extend its lead in the Texas League North.
The Cardinals continued their series with the Arkansas Travelers.
Thursday night Springfield was playing as the Cashew Chickens for the first time this season.
And the Cashews started play one game in front of the Mariners affiliate.
Tekoha Roby was making his third start, still looking for his first victory of the season.
But he would run into second inning trouble.
Arkansas's Jared Sundstrom takes this deep to left, into the jetstream and over the scoreboard a solo shot 1-nothing Travs.
Arkansas gets more Ben Ramirez scoots this past third into left, Hogan Windish scores it's 2-0.
It's 3-0 still in the second when the Travs Victor Labrada sends this deep to center, but watch Chase Davis go up and pull this home run back, the last out of the inning.
But Arkansas goes onto win 5-2.
