Auburn football's NFL draft first-round drought extended to five years in 2025. However, Auburn EDGE rusher Keldric Faulk could change Auburn's luck in next year's draft.
USA TODAY Sports feels that Faulk could go as early as No. 6 overall in the 2026 NFL draft, where he would head to the Carolina Panthers. Other outlets, including CBS Sports, also view Faulk as a first-rounder for next year's draft.
It is easy to see why Faulk is regarded as a first-round pick. He has participated in every game of his two-year Auburn career, making starts in the last 20 games at defensive end. Faulk is as solid a pass rusher as he is a run-stopper. Over his career, Faulk has created 65 quarterback pressures with 46 hurries and eight sacks. He has also finished second behind Jalen McLeod in stopping the run with a 83.4 run-defense grade according to Pro Football Focus. Following McLeod's departure, Faulk is poised to be the Tigers' top pass rusher on this season's unit.

"I think he's arguably the greatest player to put on a helmet. He's the most violent runner I've ever had, and Mark, he never got hit. We used to say he'd have eyes on the side and the back of his head." Advertisement After a successful college career, Harvin headed to the NFL. He was taken with the 22nd overall pick by the Minnesota Vikings in the 2009 NFL Draft. He got off to a great start, winning the Offensive Rookie of the Year award and making the Pro Bowl in 2009. Harvin also played for the Seattle Seahawks (2013-14), New York Jets (2014) and Buffalo Bills (2015-16). He retired from football in 2016 after dealing with injuries throughout his NFL career. From 2013-16, Harvin played in just 21 games due to injury. Meyer is full of stories from his time at Florida. In a previous episode of the podcast, he explained the way he used to motivate players by not giving championship rings to those with poor grades. Michigan's Rayshaun Benny, overlooked DT, ready to dominate 2025 defense
Many have perhaps underestimated the impending 2025 Michigan football defense due to having lost players such as defensive tackles Mason Graham and Kenneth Grant, as well as edge rusher Josaiah Stewart, and cornerback Will Johnson to the NFL. But there's another potential star on defense that isn't getting talked about -- at least not by most. Yet, there are high expectations for fifth-year defensive tackle Rayshaun Benny entering the 2025 season. Benny is expected to lead the seemingly deep group, but he isn't getting the national attention that his predecessors had. Yet, he's considered to be the best returning Big Ten defensive tackle, according to PFF. ESPN put together its list of the best college players at their positions in order to preview the 2026 NFL draft, and the only Wolverine who made the list was Rod Moore. Yet, the worldwide leader even acknowledged it didn't really know what to do with Benny. Player outside of the top five to watch: Rayshaun Benny, Michigan. Another year, another Wolverines defensive lineman to watch. The 6-4, 296-pound Benny will be tasked with replacing first-rounder Mason Graham. The fifth-year senior had only 1.5 sacks last season as a rotational player but has breakout potential. He ended the season playing his best ball, sharing Big Ten Defensive Player of the Week honors after helping Michigan upset Ohio State. Benny was a standout reserve in 2023, the national championship season, before he broke his leg in the Rose Bowl against Alabama. The other players on ESPN's list include a player from Clemson, three from the SEC (Alabama, Georgia, and Florida), and one from Penn State. Of course, time will tell whether or not Benny proves the pundits wrong, but at least ESPN is questioning whether or not it made a mistake not putting him on the list.

He spent the past two years protecting CJ Stroud and now will be doing so for another young dynamic quarterback. Samuel is coming off a down year with the 49ers, but that should alter the opinion of him joining the Commanders. He'll be able to provide a new element to Washington's offensive and gives Daniels another weapon at his disposal. In the event McLaurin works things out with the front office, he and Samuel can emerge as one of the top wide receiver duos in the league. With Daniels having a year of experience under his belt and the roster's improvements, the Commanders have a good chance to remain in the hunt in the NFC.
