Auction of Washington Wines Raises $4 Million in 2025

SEATTLE, Aug. 19, 2025 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) — The Auction of Washington Wines, one of the nation's top charity wine auctions, wrapped up its 38th year with a weekend defined by celebration and generosity. From August 14–16, more than 2,000 guests gathered in Woodinville, Bellevue, and online—raising their paddles and their glasses—to help generate more than $4 million in support of the organization's beneficiaries. The festivities brought together over 300 winemakers, vintners, and growers, each showcasing the exceptional diversity and quality that define Washington wines.
Funds raised support a philanthropic commitment to Seattle Children's, Washington State University's Viticulture & Enology Department, and Vital Wines, a nonprofit winery that provides much needed medical care to vineyard workers. Since its debut in 1988, the Auction has raised more than $72 million.

('VSC') pursuant to an unsolicited offer from VSC to acquire the direct sales business carried on by the Company (the 'Direct Sales Business Line'). The entities and assets to be acquired in the transaction (the 'Transaction') are the same as those set out in the Company's prior announcement in respect of the divestment of the Direct Sales Business Line on July 7, 2025 (the 'July 7 Press Release'). Prior to entering into the Binding LOI with VSC, the Company terminated its existing non-binding letter of intent in respect of the Direct Sales Business Line as set out in the July 7 Press Release. Under the terms of the Transaction, VSC will acquire the Direct Sales Business Line and related acquired entities for cash consideration of C$900,000, which has been paid to the Company as a non-refundable deposit to secure the Transaction, as well as the assumption of all existing and ongoing liabilities of the Direct Sales Business Line and acquired entities as of the closing date. As of June 30, 2025, the net liability position of the Direct Sales Business Line and acquired entities being assumed by VSC would have been approximately US$2.6 million.

Production for the quarter at Atico's El Roble mine totaled 2.2 million pounds ('lbs') of copper and 2,385 ounces ('oz') of gold in concentrate at a cash cost (1) of $1.73 per payable pound of copper (2).
